Bauerfeind. Mit GenuPoint haben Sie ein Produkt
erhalten, das einem hohen medizinischen und
qualitativen Standard entspricht.
Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig
durch und wenden Sie sich bei auftretenden Fragen
an den behandelnden Arzt oder an Ihr Fachgeschäft
bzw. an unseren Technischen Service.
Zweckbestimmung
GenuPoint ist ein Produkt zur Behandlung von
vorderem Knieschmerz (Patellaspitzensyndrom
oder Jumper’s Knee). Die Bandage enthält ein
Massagepolster mit vier Druckpunkten, durch die
eine Führung und Entlastung der betroenen Sehne
am Knie erzielt wird. Die mittleren Druckpunkte
führen und unterstützen die Sehne. Die seitlichen
Druckpunkte verbessern die muskuläre Koordination
des Kniegelenks. Der Druck der Bandage kann durch
einen stufenlos regulierbaren Klettgurt eingestellt
werden. GenuPoint kann sowohl rechts als auch links
getragen werden.
Bei einer nicht zweckgemäßen Verwendung des
Produktes erlischt jeglicher Anspruch auf Gewähr-
leistung.
Indikationen (Anwendungsgebiete)
• Schmerzen im Bereich der Kniescheibe und direkt
unterhalb des Knies (Chondropathia patellae,
Patellaspitzensyndrom/ Jumper‘s knee)
Anwendungsrisiken
Vorsicht*
• GenuPoint ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt.
Wurde Ihnen die GenuPoint vom Arzt verschrieben,
dann sprechen Sie die Nutzung und Anwendungs-
dauer unbedingt mit ihm ab. In jedem Fall ist
eine Einweisung durch das Fachpersonal erfor-
derlich, von dem sie das Produkt erhalten haben.
GenuPoint darf nur gemäß den Angaben dieser
Gebrauchsanweisung und der aufgeführten Anwen-
dungsgebiete getragen werden.
• Die (erstmalige) Anpassung und Einweisung darf
nur durch geschultes Fachpersonal1erfolgen.
• Das Produkt ist zur einmaligen Versorgung für den
Patienten vorgesehen.
• Bei unsachgemäßer Anwendung ist eine Produkt-
haftung ausgeschlossen.
• Eine Veränderung am Produkt darf nicht vorgenom-
men werden. Bei Nichtbeachtung kann die Leistung
des Produktes beeinträchtigt werden, sodass eine
Produkthaftung ausgeschlossen wird.
• Sollten Sie außergewöhnliche Veränderungen an
sich feststellen (z.B. Zunahme der Beschwerden),
suchen Sie bitte umgehend Ihren Arzt auf.
• Eine Kombination mit anderen Produkten
(z.B. Kompressionsstrümpfen) muss vorher mit
dem behandelnden Arzt abgesprochen werden.
• Das Produkt entfaltet seine besondere Wirkung vor
allem bei körperlicher Aktivität. Während längerer
Ruhephasen (z.B. Schlafen, langes Sitzen) sollte das
Produkt abgelegt werden.
• Bitte lassen Sie das Produkt nicht mit fett- und
säurehaltigen Mitteln, Salben und Lotionen in
Berührung kommen.
• Hinsichtlich bestehender Rückgabemöglichkeiten
zur ordnungsgemäßen Verwertung der Verpackung
beachten Sie bitte die Hinweise der jeweiligen
Verkaufsstelle, in der Sie dieses Produkt erhalten
haben.
Nebenwirkungen, die den gesamten Organismus
betreen, sind bis jetzt nicht bekannt. Das sach-
gemäße Anwenden/Anlegen wird vorausgesetzt.

(e.g. compression stockings) must be discussed
beforehand with your physician.
• The product’s unique eect is produced primarily
during physical activity. The product should be
removed during prolonged rest breaks
(e.g. sleeping, continuous sitting).
• Avoid contact with ointments, lotions or any
substances containing grease and acids.
• For information regarding the options available for
returning the packaging to ensure it is correctly
recycled, please observe the instructions from the
sales outlet where you purchased this product.
No side eects that aect the entire body have been
reported to date. Correct usage/fitting is assumed.
Any medical aids – supports and orthoses2– applied
externally to the body can, if tightened excessively,
lead to local pressure symptoms or, rarely, constrict
the underlying blood vessels or nerves.
Contraindications
No clinically significant hypersensitive reactions have
been reported to date. If you have any of the following
conditions, such aids should only be fitted and worn
after consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of
the body, particularly if inflammation is present.
Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness
and excessive heat build-up.
• Varicose veins (varicosis).
• Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the
legs (e.g. diabetes mellitus).
• Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue
swellings of uncertain origin located away from the
fitted aid.

GenuPoint is a high-quality medical product.
Please read through these instructions for use
carefully and if you have any questions, contact your
physician, medical retailer or our Technical Service
department.
Intended use
GenuPoint is a product for treating anterior knee pain
(patellar tendinitis or jumper’s knee). The support
contains a massage pad with four pressure points
that guide and relieve the aected tendon at the
knee. The central pressure points guide and support
the tendon, while the side pressure points improve
the muscular coordination of the knee joint. The
pressure exerted by the support can be set using a
freely adjustable Velcro strap. GenuPoint can be worn
on the right or left leg.
If the product is not used properly, all warranty
rights will be rendered null and void.
Indications
• Pain in the kneecap area and directly below the knee
(patellar chondropathy, patellar tendinitis/jumper’s
knee)

physiotherapist, the use and duration of use must

Es gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des Lan-
des, in dem das Produkt erworben wurde. Soweit
relevant, gelten länderspezifische Gewährleistungs-
regeln zwischen Händler und Erwerber. Wird ein
Gewährleistungsfall vermutet, wenden Sie sich bitte
zunächst direkt an denjenigen, von dem Sie das
Produkt bezogen haben.

Sie können das Produkt entsprechend den nationalen
gesetzlichen Vorschriften entsorgen.

Allgemeine Hinweise
• Überprüfen Sie nach der ersten Versorgung den
optimalen und individuellen Sitz der GenuPoint.
Nehmen Sie ggf. Korrekturen vor.
• Üben Sie das richtige Anlegen mit dem Patienten.

Eine unsachgemäße Änderung am Produkt darf nicht
vorgenommen werden. Bei Nichtbeachtung kann die
Leistung des Produktes beeinträchtigt werden, so
dass eine Produkthaftung ausgeschlossen wird.
• Die GenuPoint ist zur Versorgung nur eines Patien-
ten vorgesehen.
– Bandagen und Orthesen2– können, wenn sie zu
fest anliegen, zu lokalen Druckerscheinungen führen,
oder auch in seltenen Fällen durchlaufende Blut-
gefäße oder Nerven einengen.
Kontraindikationen (Gegenanzeigen)
Überempfindlichkeiten von Krankheitswert sind bis
jetzt nicht bekannt. Bei nachfolgenden Krankheits-
bildern ist das Anlegen und Tragen eines solchen
Hilfsmittels nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
angezeigt:
• Hauterkrankungen/-verletzungen im versorgten
Körperabschnitt, insbesondere bei entzündlichen
Erscheinungen, ebenso aufgeworfene Narben mit
Anschwellung, Rötung und Überwärmung.
• Krampfadern (Varikosis).
• Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen der
Beine z.B. „Zuckerkrankheit“ (Diabetes mellitus).
• Lymphabflussstörungen – auch unklare Weichteil-
schwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels.
Anwendungshinweise
Anziehen der GenuPoint
Die GenuPoint ist sowohl links als auch rechts trag-
bar. Vor dem Anlegen lockern Sie bitte beide Klett-
verbindungen. Önen Sie dabei eine Seite komplett,
indem Sie das Ende aus der Lasche herausziehen.
Legen Sie die GenuPoint mit der halbrunden Aus-
sparung nach oben mittig an die Kniescheibe an 1.
Anschließend fädeln Sie den Klettgurt wieder ein 2.
Ziehen Sie nun, um ein Verdrehen der Bandage zu
vermeiden, beide Gurtenden zeitgleich und gleichmä-
ßig fest. Achten Sie dabei auf den korrekten Sitz der
Bandage auf Höhe des Patellasehnenbandes 3, der
Druck auf die Patellasehne kann von Ihnen individuell
dosiert werden. Er darf dabei nicht unangenehm sein.
Fixieren Sie nun beide Klettenden auf dem Gurt 4.
Je nach Bedarf und Aktivitätsgrad können Sie den
individuellen Druck am Patellasehnenband nach-
justieren.
Ablegen der GenuPoint
Zum Ablegen der Bandage lockern Sie erst beide
Klettverbindungen und lösen dann eine Seite kom-
plett aus der Umlenklasche. Zur Aufbewahrung
sollten beide Gurtenden wieder festgeklettet werden,
um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
Reinigungshinweise
Hinweis: Setzen Sie die GenuPoint nie direkter
Hitze (z.B. Heizung, Sonneneinstrahlung, Lagerung
im Pkw) aus! Dadurch sind Schäden am Material
möglich. Dies kann die Wirksamkeit der GenuPoint
beeinträchtigen.

n’est connu à ce jour. Il est cependant indispensable
que ce dispositif soit correctement mis en place
et utilisé. Tous les dispositifs médicaux externes
appliqués sur les diérentes parties du corps
(bandages, orthèses2) peuvent entraîner des
pressions locales excessives ou, dans de rares cas,
une compression des vaisseaux sanguins ou des
nerfs s’ils sont portés trop serrés.
Contre-indications (contrindications)
Aucune hypersensibilité de caractère pathologique
n’est connue à ce jour. En cas d’existence ou
d’apparition des symptômes cités ci-après,
l’application et le port de ce produit doivent
préalablement faire l’objet d’une consultation auprès
de votre médecin habituel:
• Dermatoses/lésions cutanées dans la zone en
contact avec l’appareillage, notamment en cas
d’inflammations, cicatrices avec gonflement,
rougeur et hyperthermie.
• Varices (varicose).
• Troubles sensoriels et troubles circulatoires des
jambes par ex. «diabète» (diabetes mellitus).
• Troubles de la circulation lymphatique, également
tuméfactions inexpliquées des masses molles
éloignées de l’appareillage posé.
Conseils d’utilisation
Mise en place de GenuPoint
GenuPoint peut être porté à gauche comme à droite.
Avant la mise en place, veuillez desserrer les deux
bandes autogrippantes. Ouvrez un côté entièrement
en retirant l‘extrémité de la languette.
Placez GenuPoint au centre de la rotule avec le
logement en demi-cercle orienté vers le haut 1.
Réinsérez ensuite la bande autogrippante 2.
Là, tirez les deux extrémités de la sangle en même
temps et régulièrement pour éviter que le bandage
ne se torde. Veillez à ce que le bandage soit bien
placé au niveau du tendon rotulien 3, vous pouvez
doser individuellement la pression exercée sur
celui-ci. Elle ne doit pas être désagréable.
Fixez maintenant les deux extrémités autogrippantes
sur la sangle 4.

Utilisation
GenuPoint est un produit servant à traiter les
douleurs à l‘avant du genou (tendinite rotulienne ou
Jumper‘s Knee). Ce bandage contient un coussinet
de massage à quatre points de pression qui permet
de guider et de soulager le tendon du genou
concerné. Les points de pression médians guident
et soutiennent le tendon. Les points de pression
latéraux améliorent la coordination musculaire de
l‘articulation du genou. La pression du bandage peut
être réglée par une bande autogrippante réglable en
continu. GenuPoint peut être porté à droite comme
à gauche.
Tout droit à la garantie expire en cas d’utilisation
non conforme du produit.

Application instructions
Putting on the GenuPoint
The GenuPoint can be worn on the right or left
leg. Before putting it on, please loosen both Velcro
closures. Open one side completely by pulling the end
out of the tab.
Put the GenuPoint on in the center of the kneecap
with the semicircular cut-out edge at the top 1.
Then thread the Velcro strap back through 2.
Now pull both strap ends at the same time with equal
force to prevent the support from twisting. Make sure
that the support is sitting correctly and is level with
the patellar tendon 3. You can adjust the pressure
on the patellar tendon to suit you, but it must not be
uncomfortable.
Now fasten both Velcro ends to the strap 4.
Depending on your needs and activity level, you
can readjust the individual pressure on the patellar
tendon.
Taking o the GenuPoint
To take o the support, first loosen both Velcro
closures and then remove one side fully from the
guide tab. For storage, both strap ends should be
fastened again to avoid damage.
Cleaning instructions
Note: Never expose the GenuPoint to direct heat
(e.g.heaters, sunlight, in your car, etc.)! This
may damage the material, which can impair the
eectiveness of the GenuPoint.
The sewn-in label of the GenuPoint, which contains
information on the product name, size, manufacturer,
washing instructions and CE mark, is located on the
strap of the product.
Fasten both ends of the Velcro strap before washing
to avoid damage. Wash the GenuPoint separately by
hand using a mild detergent.
If you have any complaints, please contact your
medical retailer only. Please note that only clean
goods can be dealt with.

The GenuPoint is intended for your treatment only.
It has been adjusted specifically for you. For this
reason, do not pass the GenuPoint on to other people.
Warranty
The legal provisions of the country in which the
product was purchased apply. Country-specific
