2 Installation
Notes
Refer to the safety instructions in section 1.
The installation work is based on the general workshop information. Any work which differs from this is described
in detail in sections 2 and 3.

1Additional wiring harnesses (I-VI).............................. Lay and connect, see section 3.5
Connection overview
- Connection cable/Power supply wiring harness,

2Slot-in nuts (2)....................................................... Place on the holder (4).
3Base interface (3) .................................................. Place the base interface (3) on the holder (4) and
secure it with two hexagonal screws (5), M5x14.
Tightening torque 5 Nm.
4Holder (4)............................................................... Place the holder with the attached base interface (3)
on the left-hand wheel arch (22) and secure it with
two plastic nuts (6), size 10 mm.Tightening torque
3 Nm. Connect branch I/2, 54-pin socket casing,
to the base interface.

6Plastic nuts (6), size 10 mm

7Cable holder (7)..................................................... Place the cable holder (7) on the holder (8) for the
cable compensator.

9Hexagonal nut (9), size 8 mm
10 Cable compensator (10) ............................................ Place the cable compensator (10) on the holder (8) for
the cable compensator and secure it with two hexagonal
nuts (9), size 8 mm. Connect branches I/4 and I/5.
Connect the aerial cable (23). Secure the cable
compensator (10) to the reinforced brace (24) from the
rear using two hexagonal nuts (9), size 8 mm.Tightening
torque 3 Nm. Attach the cable from branch I/5 to the
cable holder (7).

11 Microphone cover (11) ........................................... Install the microphone cover, see section 3.6
12 Microphone (12) .................................................... Install and connect the microphone, see section 3.6.

13 Eject box (13) ........................................................ Insert the eject box (13) into the telephone centre
armrest and press it downwards until the engagement
pins click into position.
Installation/Connection, see section 3.7.
The telephone centre armrest must be ordered
separately to match the trim colour (see ETK / MF
for part number).

14 Control switch (25) ................................................ Replace the control switch with the telephone key.
