Installation information
Ensure t at t e cables/lines are not kinked or damaged as you install t em in t e car.
If t e specified PIN c ambers are occupied, bridges, double crimps or twin-lead terminals must be used.
Target group
T e target group for t ese installation instructions is specialist personnel trained on BMW cars wit t e
appropriate specialist knowledge.
All work must be completed using t e latest BMW repair manuals, circuit diagrams, servicing manuals and
work instructions in a rational order using t e prescribed tools (special tools) and observing current ealt and
safety regulations.
Ordering instructions
A black insert for t e centre console is supplied in t e retrofit kit.
An insert for t e centre console in ot er colours for cars wit different interior colours can be ordered if
required. See t e EPC for all furt er ordering information.
Safety instructions
Refer to t e safety instructions for andling components of t e airbag system. Furt er information is available
in t e TIS in RA No. 32 34 ... If you fail to follow t e safety instructions t e airbag system may deploy
incorrectly and cause injuries.

Unclip t e fuse strip X10018 from t e fuse older (1).

Connect branc C4 to slot F57 in t e fuse strip X10018 .
Insert t e 10 A fusible insert into slot F57.
Clip t e fuse strip X10018 back into t e fuse older (1).

Disconnect plug connector X325 .
Disconnect t e VI/WS cable (1) from plug X325 PIN 2
and fit a socket casing (2) to it.
0
Connect branc C6 to plug X325 PIN 2.
Connect t e socket casing (1) and plug casing (2).

Reconnect plug X18126 to t e radio receiver.
If t e plug X13321 is already in t e car, t e two
cables from branc A9 must be disconnected and
connected to t e same pins in t e plug in t e car
X13321.
0Lay branc es A1 – A4 to t e centre console.
Lay branc A5 to t e left A pillar.
0Carefully lower t e eadlining at t e front.
Lay branc A5 under t e eadlining to t e centre of t e
car.
0Cars with SA 661 only
Lay branc es A3 and A4 to plug X18126.
Disconnect plug X18126 from t e radio (1).

(2) and secure it wit t e bar (3).

t e body stud (3) on t e left- and side of t e boot using
exagonal nuts M5 (2).

interface (2).
Insert t e interface (2) into t e older (3).

it to t e retaining frame (3).

point to t e front of t e car.
Connect branc A5 to t e ands-free microp one (1).
Clip t e ands-free microp one (1) into t e trim (2).
Clip t e trim (2) into t e retaining frame (3).
