INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Fill the kettle with enough water to cover the heating element This is
indicated by the min level. Don`t fill above the max marked
outside.
Don’t forget to close the lid after filling.
Place the kettle on the base unit by holding the kettle level, then
gently - but firmly - push the handle end down to engage the base unit
connection. Plug in.
Push up the lever to the on position and the neon on/off indicator light
will illuminate.
When the water boils, the kettle will switch off automatically. As it does
so, a drop of water may emerge from the vent in the base of the kettle
control housing.
Important: Ensure that the kettle has switched off automatically, or is
switched off manually, before attempting to remove it from the base
unit.
To remove the kettle from the base unit, be sure the switch is off, grasp
the handle and hold the kettle level while lifting it clear of the base unit.
Take extra care if the kettle is filled to max.
If you are using the kettle for the first time, pour away the boiled water
and refill.
To reboil, ensure the water level is above min, switch to on again. If the
kettle has just switched off, wait a minute or so before switching it back
on again.
If you do not put in enough water, or switch on the kettle when it is
empty, the safety cut-out will switch off the power automatically. If this
happens, unplug the cord from the electrical outlet and allow the kettle
heating element to cool down naturally, then refill and use the kettle
as normal.

Llene el hervidor con agua suficiente para cubrir el elemento calefactor.
Esto viene indicado por la marca min. Evite un llenado excesivo, por
encima de la marca max en el exterior del aparato.
Una vez lleno, no olvide cerrar debidamente la tapa.
Lleve el hervidor a la base, manténgalo horizontal y, luego, empuje el
extremo del asa hacia abajo, suave pero firmemente, hasta que encaje
con el conector de la base. Enchufe el cable a la toma de corriente y,
en caso necesario, accione el interruptor de pared para conectar la toma.
Accione el interruptor para encender el aparato (posición on).
Se encenderá entonces el indicador luminoso de on/off.
Cuando hierve el agua, el hervidor se apaga automáticamente. Al hacerlo,
puede salir una gota de agua por el orificio de ventilación de la base del
hervidor. Esto es normal y no constituye una avería.
Importante: Antes de retirar el hervidor de la base, asegúrese de que se
ha apagado automáticamente o apáguelo manualmente.
Para retirar el hervidor de la base, asegúrese de que el interruptor está
apagado, tome el hervidor por el asa y levántelo de la base manteniéndolo
horizontal. Proceda con mucho cuidado, si ha llenado el hervidor hasta la
marca max.
Si usa el hervidor por primera vez, deseche el agua hervida y vuelva a
llenarlo.
Para volver a hervir agua, asegúrese de que el nivel está por encima de
la marca min y vuelva a poner el interruptor a la posición on. Si acaba
de apagar el hervidor, espere aproximadamente un minuto antes de volver
a encenderlo.
Si no hay suficiente agua en el hervidor, o si lo enciende estando vacío,
el mecanismo de seguridad desconectará automáticamente la
alimentación eléctrica. En tal caso, desenchufe el cable de la toma de
corriente y espere hasta que el elemento calefactor del hervidor se haya
enfriado antes de volver a llenar y utilizar el hervidor en la forma usual.
