1 System Presentation
1.1 Brief Description
Machine control panels complete operator and visualization terminals and are
used to select the operation modes as well as to operate the machine manually.
The machine control panels feature operating elements, e. g. keys with LED
displays, rotary switches with feed and spindle override, EMERGENCY STOP
button, key switch, machine button as well as a connection for a hand-held
terminal.
The VAM 11.1/VAM 41.1 machine control panels have been specially designed
for the use in combination with devices of the VPB, VPP, Vxx product family
and are adapted to the design of these devices. The VAM 11.1 width corre‐
sponds to the VPP 16 panel PC width. The VPP 16 and VAM 41.1 width
corresponds to the VPP 40 panel PC width.
The VAM 11.1/VAM 41.1 devices are machine control panels for the automated
production with PROFIBUS connection.
