1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Read the safety precautions carefully prior to installation.
• Stated below are important safety issues that must be followed.
• After completing the installation, ensure the unit operates correctly
during start-up operation. Please instruct the customer on how to
operate the unit and keep it maintained. Also, inform customers that
they should store this installation manual along with the owner‘s
manual for future reference.

WARNING
Installation of this unit must be in accordance with this
installation manual.
This unit must only be installed, serviced and maintained by
trained and qualified personnel.

Installation Notice
1. Communication cables are low voltage and must not be connected
to a mains electrical power supply. Communication cables must also
b e kept a w ay f ro m m a in s e l e c t r i c a l c a b l e s t o av o id in t e r f e re n c e .
2. The shielded layer of the shielded cable must be terminated to
ground.
3. The communication wiring supplying the fault alarm must be
continuous without connections.
4. Do not use a Megger to test the communication wiring.

3. INSTALLATION
Instruction:
1. Below is an example of how to install, when connecting to a computer;
2. The maximum of one fault alarm can connect to a computer;
3. One computer can connect to a fault alarm or a centralised controller, but not both together;
4. One computer can connect to the maximum of 32 outdoor units;
5. When this fault alarm module is connected to a computer with a third network control system, the default address for the alarm module will be 16
and this cannot be changed.

Use electric drill to drill four holes with φ6mm
and depth are 30mm, and then put the plastic
expanded tube into the holes.
Fix the base at the holes,
and use the cross screwdriver
to screw the cross recessed pan
head tapping screws into the
plastic expanded tube,and fix the base.

4. SYSTEM WIRING SPECIFICATION
The following wiring layouts are acceptable.
CAUTION
The maximum outdoor units that one ODU-FA can connect to is ≤32. The maximum refrigeration systems that one ODU-FA can connect to is ≤8.

6. OPERATION METHOD

2 Fault alarm function summary
Main functions as following:
1. Connect the outdoor unit through K1 K2 E three terminals, and connect the
RS485 shift RS232 module 3rd generation network solution by F1 F2 E, and
then finally connect to the computer.
2. The output power will be the same as the input power side.
3. With LED indication.
3 LED Display
When there is no fault, the LED will be permanently on.
When there is a fault, the LED will flash.
CAUTION
1 First install the Fault alarm, after set the fault protection by the
outdoor main panel 2 minutes, observe the indication lamp
whether be flashed or not, then judge whether the Fault alarm
communicate with the outdoor unit.
2 The appliance connected off the fault alarm must have a AC
supply of 198-242V and must be below 3.15A.
