LOCK/UNLOCK
To lock or unlock the
device, push and hold the
+and –buttons
simultaneously for until
the padlock on the bottom
right of the screen
locks/unlocks
SELECT MODE
With the device unlocked,
push the MODE button
Chose either TRIGGERED
AUTO or TIMED AUTO as
appropriate for your
patient
TREATMENT SETTINGS
Check the exsufflation
pressure is set at zero
Set appropriate
insufflation pressure
Set Ti, PAUSE times

Hints & Tips
Lock and unlock procedure is the same
When using the Triggered Auto mode don’t forget
to adjust the trigger sensitivity settings
Trigger sensitivity settings are adjusted in the
menu. Press MENU then press the –button to
highlight ADJUST TRIGGER LEVELS then press SET.
To adjust the Flow Profile: Press MENU then use
the –button to highlight SETTINGS & OPTIONS
then select PROFILE SETTINGS
When using the Triggered Auto mode, the pause
time needs to be long enough to allow the patient
to trigger.

Parameter Range Clinical Implication
Pressure 0-60 cm Measured by pressure line, accurate in
delivery at patient end. Titrate as required
Ti 0.1-5 Sec Increase as tolerated to enable effective
inhalation and expansion.
Pause 0-5 Sec Timed
0-9 Sec Triggered
Change accordingly to suit patient RR to and
reduce WOB. In triggered mode consider
increasing so longer breath and deeper
inspiration
Flow
Profile
10-80 % Like a rise time, changes the speed of flow to
reach pressure. 10 % is fastest to pressure,
80 % is slowest to pressure (max of 1.0 sec).
Trigger 1 –10 (1 = Easy,
10 = Hardest)
Depending on strength and fatigue of patient,
change accordingly.
