Intended Use
The patient circuit is intended to be connected to Breas Vivo 50.
The intended use of the patient circuit is to deliver air, with or without added
oxygen, invasively or non-invasively, from the Vivo 50 and, in addition to the
pressure/volume control regulation provided by the Vivo 50, control the
inspiration and expiration phases by opening and closing the exhalation valve.
The patient circuit is intended for home and hospital use.
The patient circuit is intended to be connected to patients and maintained by
persons who are trained to use ventilators.

malfunctions.
• Always clean the parts or use a new set when used by a new patient.
All parts that come into contact with the respiration gas must be cleaned.

Disinfection
The patient circuit can be disinfected by the following solutions, provided that
the disinfectants are used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not
disinfect the control pressure tube.
•Gigasept
®FF
(10% solution), for 15 minutes up to 20 cycles
• Steranios 2%, for 10 minutes up to 20 cycles
Before disinfection, always clean the parts as described above.
After disinfection, thoroughly rinse the parts in running water for 2 minutes, in
order to remove any residue of the disinfectant. Make sure to rinse all surfaces.
Dry the parts before use.
1Disconnect the patient circuit from the Vivo 50 and the tube from the
exhalation valve.
2Unscrew the exhalation valve
cover completely together with the
membrane assembly. The membrane
can be cleaned properly while still
fitted to its cover.
Let the control pressure tube remain
connected to the nipple to prevent
water from entering into the mem-
brane.
3Place the dismantled parts in hot water containing mild detergent.
4Remove fouling with a brush.
5Rinse parts thoroughly under running hot water.
6Shake water out of all parts.
7Dry the parts completely.
The effectiveness of this disinfection method has not been validated.
It is recommended with regard to material durability only.

Autoclaving
The parts can withstand to be autoclaved at 126 °C (258 °F) for 15 minutes.
This treatment can be repeated up to 20 times. Do not autoclave the control
pressure tube.
After cleaning
Check that there is no visible damage.
Recommended Usage Period
3 to 6 months.
Storage
Store in dust-free location.
Disposal
The patient circuit must be disposed of and recycled in accordance with the
local environmental regulations regarding the disposal of used equipment and
waste.

The effectiveness of this sterilization method has not been validated.

Desinficering
Patientslangesættet kan desinficeres med følgende opløsninger under
forudsætning af, at desinfektionsmidlerne bruges i overensstemmelse med
producentens instruktioner. Trykstyringsslangen må ikke desinficeres.
•Gigasept
®FF (10 % opløsning) i 15 minutter op til 20 cyklusser
• Steranios 2 % i 10 minutter op til 20 cyklusser
Før desinficering skal delene altid rengøres som beskrevet ovenfor.
Efter desinficering skal delene skylles grundigt i rindende vand i 2 minutter,
så alle eventuelle rester af desinfektionsmidlet fjernes. Sørg for, at alle overfla-
der skylles. Aftør delene før brug.
1Afbryd forbindelsen mellem patientslangesættet og Vivo 50 og mellem
ventilatoren og ekshalationventilen.
2Skru udåndingsventilens dæksel
helt af sammen med membran-
enheden. Membranen kan rengøres
korrekt, mens den stadig er monte-

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Patientenschlauchsystem ist ausschließlich für den Anschluss an das Breas
Vivo 50 vorgesehen.
Der bestimmungsgemäße Gebrauch des Patientenschlauchsystems besteht in
der Lieferung von Atemluft, die mit Sauerstoff angereichert sein kann und
vom Vivo 50 geliefert wird. Durch Öffnen und Schließen des Ausatemventils
wird die Inspirations- bzw. Exspirationsphase bei einer druck-/
volumenregulierten Beatmung durch das Vivo 50 gesteuert.
Das Patientenschlauchsystem ist für den Gebrauch zu Hause und im
Krankenhaus vorgesehen.
Das Schlauchsystem ist für die Verwendung am Patienten vorgesehen und
sollte von Personen gewartet werden, die im Umgang mit Beatmungsgeräten
geschult sind.

wenn ein neuer Patient behandelt wird. Alle Teile, die mit dem Atemgas in
Kontakt kommen, müssen gereinigt werden.

Desinfizierung
Die Teile können mit den nachstehenden Lösungen und entsprechend den
jeweiligen Herstelleranweisungen desinfiziert werden. Sie dürfen den Steuer-
schlauch nicht desinfizieren.
•Gigasept
®FF (10 %), 15 Minuten, bis zu 20 Zyklen
• Steranios 2 %, 10 Minuten, bis zu 20 Zyklen
Reinigen Sie die Teile vor jeder Desinfizierung wie oben beschrieben.
Spülen Sie die Teile nach der Desinfizierung gründlich 2 Minuten lang unter
fließendem Wasser ab, um Desinfektionsmittelrückstände zu entfernen.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Oberflächen abgespült werden. Trocknen Sie die
Teile vor dem Gebrauch.
1Ziehen Sie das Patientenschlauchsystem vom Vivo 50 und den Schlauch
vom Ausatemventil ab.
2Schrauben Sie den Ausatem-
ventildeckel zusammen mit der
Membraneinheit ab. Die Membran
kann auch dann gründlich gereinigt
werden, wenn sie noch am Deckel
befestigt ist.
Lassen Sie den Steuerschlauch am
Nippel angeschlossen, damit kein
Wasser in die Membran eindringen
kann.
3Legen Sie die abmontierten Teile in heißes Wasser mit einem milden
Reinigungsmittel.
4Entfernen Sie Verschmutzungen mit einer Bürste.
5Spülen Sie die Teile gründlich unter fließendem heißem Wasser ab.
6Schütteln Sie das Wasser aus allen Teilen.
7Trocknen Sie die Teile sorgfältig ab.
Die Wirksamkeit dieser Desinfektionsmethode ist nicht validiert.
Sie wird nur im Hinblick auf Materialbeständigkeit empfohlen.

Autoklavieren
Die Teile können in einem Autoklaven 15 min lang bei 126 °C sterilisiert wer-
den. Diese Behandlung kann bis zu 20 Mal wiederholt werden. Der Steuer-
schlauch darf nicht autoklaviert werden.
Nach der Reinigung
Es dürfen keine sichtbaren Schäden vorhanden sein.

Aufbewahrung
Lagern Sie die Komponenten in einer staubfreien Umgebung.
Entsorgung
Das
Patientenschlauchsystem muss gemäß den vor Ort geltenden
Umweltrichtlinien im Hinblick auf die Entsorgung und das Recycling von
gebrauchten Ausrüstungskomponenten und Abfällen entsorgt werden.

Uso previsto
El circuito de paciente ha sido diseñado para su conexión al Vivo 50 Breas.
El uso previsto del circuito de paciente es suministrar aire, con o sin oxígeno

Desinfección

Antes de la desinfección, limpie siempre las piezas como se describe más
arriba.
Tras la desinfección, aclare concienzudamente las piezas bajo el grifo durante
dos minutos, para eliminar cualquier resto de desinfectante. Asegúrese de acla-
rar todas las superficies. Seque las piezas antes de usarlas.
1Desconecte el circuito de paciente del Vivo 50 y el tubo de la válvula
espiratoria.
2Desatornille la cubierta de la
válvula espiratoria por completo
junto con el conjunto de membrana.
La membrana se puede limpiar sin
separarla de la tapa.
Deje el tubo de control de presión
conectado a la boquilla para evitar
que entre agua en la membrana.
3Introduzca los componentes desmontados en agua caliente con un
detergente suave.
4Elimine la suciedad con ayuda de un cepillo.
5Aclare bien los componentes con agua corriente caliente.
6Sacuda el agua de todos los componentes.
7Seque totalmente los componentes.
La efectividad de este método de desinfección no está validada.
Solo se recomienda en lo que respecta a la durabilidad de los materiales.
