Scale Setup

1. Feed display pad cable through
front square cutout in display
bracket.
2. Flip display pad upside down to locate both hinge pins. Insert hinge pins
into hinge holes of display bracket and snap in place.

6. Feed display pad cable through round opening in
scale body.
4. Turn scale body upside down. Remove and discard,
five short mounting screws with Phillips screwdriver
and shipping screw with 8mm wrench provided.
3. Remove cover from scale body and set aside.
5. Align four holes of the display unit with the four
mounting holes on the scale body. Insert longer
mounting screws and tighten with Phillips
screwdriver to attach.
7. Turn the scale body upright and connect display
pad cable to matching port inside scale body.
12. Press the display pad to power on scale and
press again (less than 3 seconds) to zero the
scale. Press (less than 3 seconds) to change
unit of measure. Press and hold (more than 3
seconds) to turn scale off.
Scale must be certified by your local weights and
measures inspector
11. Remove blue film from scale cover. Then place
cover onto scale body. Adjust display to best
viewing angle.
9. Turn the scale body upright. Connect Power
adapter and USB cable to matching ports on scale
body and to outlet and USB port on DateCodeGenie
device.
8. Wrap excess cable around display bracket hooks.
10. Place the scale in final location for use and view
the level bubble. Adjust the feet until the bubble is
centered.

2.5. A one-time license fee is charged to non-holders of NTEP Certificates of Conformance
for use of the NTEP Logo. No license fee is charged to current holders of active NTEP
Certificates of Conformance.
3. The States
States participating in NTEP (that is, permitting the sale of devices in their states based on NTEP
Certificates of Conformance) and/or states operating NTEP Participating Laboratories are
encouraged to communicate their activities to potential clients and the public. NTEP
authorization means that a Participating Laboratory is competent to perform standard tests of
specific weighing or measuring devices.
A statement about a state’s participation and/or authorization and the NTEP logo may be used in
correspondence, brochures, test reports, and data sheets (provided the tests or services are
performed in accordance with the terms of its authorization.)
3.1. Statement
•A state whose laboratory has been authorized may use the following statement:
•“Authorized by NCWM under NTEP for testing (identify device types covered by the
Authorization Certificate).”
•A state accepting Certificates of Conformance may use the following statement:
•“(Name of state) permits the sale of weighing or measuring devices for use based on
the issuance of NTEP Certificates of Conformance.”
3.2. Logo
The NTEP Logo (see Section 23.2.5 below) may be used in conjunction with the above
statements or alone in material dealing with NTEP.
4. Questions About Use of Statements or Logo
Any questions regarding the use of the statement or logo not specifically covered above, or any
questions concerning the propriety or acceptability of their use in a particular situation, should be
brought to the attention of the NTEP Committee through the NTEP Administrator.

Better known as the "Center of Zero"
annunciator. It is lit when the scale is at the
zero point and the gross weight is 0.

Indicates net mode and the tare weight is not
0.
lb
Indicates the current unit of measure is lb.
oz
Indicates the current unit of measure is oz.
kg
Indicates the current unit of measure is kg.
g
Indicates the current unit of measure is g.
Pcs
Indicates counting mode. Unit of measure is
pieces.
HOLD
Flashes when HOLD key is presses. Remains
permanently on when the Hold function has
become activated.
AC/CHG
When battery is being used or charged, is fully
charged or not installed.
OK
Indicates when data compare is enabled and
current data (weight, pieces or percent) is
between the specified upper and lower limits
