Two options for cabling the camera
: IP network cabling
+ 12 VDC external power supply - - - - - - - : PoE cabling
The camera can be connected to the network NVR either directly to a port on the NVR’s built-in switch if it has one, or to an
external switch port.
Since the camera is congured as DHCP by default, the NVR’s internal or external switch will automatically supply its installation
network IP address.
NB: The NVR rmware version must be at least V5.2.0 - 20170227, or more recent.
If not, update the rmware via www.legrandoc.com or www.bticino.com

4 IP conguration
You can congure the camera with your network settings, using a PC.
4.1 Default network conguration

5 PC conguration
The PC should be equipped with Windows 7 or Windows 10 and Internet Explorer 11 (or more recent version) or Mozilla Firefox V51
(or more recent version).
5.1 IP Search tool, for Windows only
5.1.1 Overview
The IPSearch tool is used to nd a camera on the network or to change its IP address. You will nd this tool on the CD supplied
with the camera or on the website www.Bticino.com or www.bticino.it.
5.1.2 Installation
Launch the IPSearch.exe executable le from: Tool/IPSearch/IPSearch (3.2).
5.1.3 Finding a camera and changing its network settings
Click on the Start button in the MulticastSearch tab.
Select the camera and make
a note of the camera network settings.

If necessary, you can change them.
If the camera is connected to a PoE port on
anNVR, change the following parameters:
Device IP: 10.10.25.1xx
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
Default gateway: 10.10.25.100.
Click “Modify” to save them.
5.2 Internet Explorer settings
Open the browser.
To make sure the real-time video can be played correctly, you should perform the following operation on connecting to Internet
Explorer for the rst time:
1. Choose Tools
> Internet Options> Security> Trusted sites> Sites.
In the displayed dialogue box, enter the camera address, e.g: 192.168.0.120 and click“Add”.

2. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools> Internet Options> Security> Custom level, then dene the unsigned ActiveX control
andinitialise and enable ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting in ActiveX controls and plug-ins to be Enabled.
6 Connecting to the camera
Enter the device IP address in the address bar, for example:
http://192.168.1.168

Select the language, enter the user name (admin by default) and password (admin by default) then click.

If the system displays the message“Please download the latest expansion modules”, click Download and install them.
7 Changing the camera administrator password
We recommend that you change the camera administrator password (admin by default).
Connect to the camera via your browser using the previously dened IP address for example:
http://192.168.1.168

Select the language, enter the user name (admin by default) and password (admin by default) then click.
Click and change the administrator password.
The new password should be 8 characters minimum and made up of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special
characters.
To be sure the new password is valid and
suciently secure, the icon should change
from red (complex weak) to green (complex
strong).

8 Association with the NVR
The camera is used with NVRs in the Bticino catalogue with rmware version V5.2.0, - 20170227 or more recent.
If the rmware is older, update it by following the procedure described in the NVR manual.
In the NVR “SETTINGS/CAMERA IP” menu, click on +next to a free channel and the following window appears:
Select the ONVIF protocol
Password: admin by default
Click Search and the camera appears in the list of cameras present.
Click ADD to associate the camera with the NVR and make it appear in the live display

10.1 Image Adjustment:click on the icon to display the menu
To change the default settings, select “Debug mode”. You can dene and save 4 dierent settings. Restoring the factory settings
will delete all the settings.
Time Segment: Limits how long the camera operates for (by default 24/7).

Image adjust: Sets the brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness.
Scene: Scene: Used to dene whether the scene is indoor or outdoor.
Mirror: Used to ip the image (horizontal/vertical/horizontal + vertical).
Aisle Mode: Portrait mode.
Exposure: Sets the exposure, surface, shutter speed (1 to 1/5000th second), gain (0 to 100) and iris (by default in
automaticmode).
WB (Lighting): Sets the lighting type (by default in automatic mode).

DayNight: Sets day mode, night mode and day/night switching.
Noise reduction: Used to reduce background noise.
Enhance image: WDR is used to improve backlit scenes.
HLC and BLC are used to adjust backlighting.
Defog can adjust the image in misty weather

11 Playback
Not applicable. To play back recordings, refer to your network video recorder manual.
12 Camera conguration
The “Alarm”, “Local Record”, “Network Service”, “Privilege Manager” and “Device Log” functions will not be discussed in this manual.
To use these types of function, refer to your network video recorder manual.
12.1 Device Info (Information about the camera)
Gives various information about the camera and is used to give it a name.
12.2 Stream
Base Stream: possibility of having 2 streams with dierent types of encoding, resolution, bit rate, etc.
ID 1 Stream: main stream which will be recorded on the NVR.
ID 2 Stream: can be used for live video in web access if the bandwidth is restricted.

SVC Stream (Scalable Video Codec): Used to add the proportion (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) of predictive images (which only contain
modications) compared to the main stream (1/1).
ROI (Region of interest): Up to 5 regions of interest with 5 image quality levels (1 lowest, 5 highest).

Local Network: IP settings.

Device Port: Control port, HTTP port, RTSP port.
Date and Time: Time zone, daylight saving time settings (start and end date).
The 5th Sunday, for example, means the last Sunday of the month.
Camera: Video channel settings.
OSD: 4 information display zone settings.

Microphone: Microphone settings (connected to the camera).
CVBS: Analogue video output (to be connected to the camera) with coaxial cable and BNC connector.
System: Language and internet mode if language changed, click .

Reserve IP setting: Used to keep the IP address, when restoring the factory settings, so as to avoid having to repeat the
identication procedure on the network.

13 Updating the rmware
13.1 Installation
Copy the directory for the “Update tool V1.2.0.36”executable le (MANDATORY) into the computer root directory (C:)
Launch the “NewUpdateTool.exe” executable le.
