1123 Disabled Toilet
Radio Alarm Kit
A6251: 1123 - 868MHz Radio Disabled Toilet Kit
The CAUK 1123 Radio disabled toilet alarm kit is
very simple to install and is ideal for retro fitting if
the installation of a hard wired system is not viable.
This kit includes all the parts required to be fully
compliant with and exceed BS 8300:2001.
The unique 1150 radio Assist/Reset unit with
integrated pull cord provides the user with three
ways to call for assistance. This allows larger
disabled toilets to be covered without the need for
an extra ceiling pull cord. The 1124 radio ceiling
pull switch should be positioned against the wall
opposite to the assist/reset unit.
The two push buttons on the Assist/Reset button
gives tactile feedback and hidden access to the
screws to give a neat finish and prevent
tampering.
System Operation
The person requiring assistance can:-
o Pull the ceiling pull switch cord.
o Pull the cord at the Assist/Reset Unit.
o Press either button on the Assist/Reset Unit.
o A reassurance lamp will flash on the Assist/
Reset Unit & at the ceiling pull switch.
Once an assistance call is made the 1123 radio over
door lamp will flash red. An audible tone will sound to
draw attention to the call. The system is then reset by
pressing the Green reset button on the 1150 Assist/Reset
unit.
System Features
o Operates at 868MHz radio frequency.
o Battery powered units benefit from ‘Low Battery’
alerts.
o Assist/Reset Unit includes pull cord and triangle.
o Meets & exceeds BS8300:2001.
o Simple to install, no internal wiring.
o Includes Power Supply.
o Radio over door lamp with internal sounder.

1123 Disabled Toilet
Radio Alarm Kit
Positioning the components
The 1123 radio disabled toilet alarm kit is
simple to install. The 12v PSU is connected to
the 868 MHz radio over door lamp located
above the toilet door. The radio battery
powered call/reset unit should be located
near the toilet pan, placed within easy reach
of the user. A crucial point to remember is that
many wheelchair users cannot turn round.
Therefore do not fit the pull cords behind
them. The radio battery powered ceiling
mounted pull switch should be mounted close
to the opposite wall. See below illustration.
The battery for both units is a CR123A 3Vdc.
Full installation information is supplied with the
kit.
For multiple toilet sites central indicator panels
may be required, such as Hospitals, Gyms,
Schools, Hotels and Holiday Camps etc.
Additional parts can be purchased for larger
toilets.
