Alarm Kit
A6812: 2050 Disabled Toilet Kit
The CAUK 2050 Disabled toilet alarm kit is simple to
install and includes all the parts required to be fully
compliant with and exceed BS 8300:2001.
The unique 2050 toilet kit with integrated pull cord
provides the user with three ways to call for
assistance. This allows larger disabled toilets to be
covered without the need for an extra pull cord.
The ceiling pull switch has an orange cord which
should be positioned against the wall opposite to
the assist/reset unit.
The two push buttons on the Call/Reset button
gives tactile feedback and cover access to the
screws to give a neat finish and prevent
tampering.
System Operation
The person requiring assistance can:-
o Pull the ceiling pull switch cord.
o Pull the cord at the wall Assist/Reset Unit.
o Press either button on the Assist/Reset Unit.
o A reassurance lamp will flash on the Assist/
Reset Unit & at the ceiling pull switch.
Once an assistance call is made the over door lamp will
flash red. An audible tone will sound to draw attention
to the call. The system is reset by pressing the Green
reset button.

2050 Disabled Toilet
Alarm Kit
Installation guide
The 2050 disabled toilet alarm kit is simple to
install using 4-core alarm cable. The 12v PSU
allows only low voltage inside the toilet area.
Please follow the simple wiring diagram that
can be downloaded from the web page.
Additional parts can be purchased for larger
toilets.
Positioning the components
It is important to ensure that the positioning of
the call/reset unit & the ceiling mounted pull
switch cords are placed within easy reach of
the user. A crucial point to remember is that
many wheelchair users cannot turn round.
Therefore do not fit the pull cords behind
them. Ideally pull cords should be on a line in
front of the toilet pan, see the illustration
below.
For safety reasons the 240V/12 Volt
transformer is supplied separately as this
should be fitted above the ceiling tiles. This ensures
that only low voltages are connected to the
equipment in the toilet area.
Full installation information is supplied with the kit.
For multiple toilet sites central indicator panels may
be required, such as Hospitals, Gyms, Schools,
Hotels and Holiday Camps etc.
