GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
Important safety instructions.
Please follow all of these instructions. Improper installation may cause serious
bodily harm.
Only use this product for its intended purpose. Any other use is hazardous. • All
operations indicated in this manual must be carried out exclusively by skilled and
qualified personnel and in full compliance with the regulations in force. • The device
must be installed, wired, connected and tested according to good professional
practice, in compliance with the standards and laws in force. • Data cabling must
be tested and certified before connecting to the ACS01. • The user experience may
vary according to the available bandwidth/internet connection. • The control board
must be powered o and all batteries must be removed during installation and
maintenance or when making electronic connections. •

5 steps for configuring ACS01
①Connect ACS01 to a PoE switch with an Internet connection.
②Go to came.io and create an account, or log in if an account has already been created.
③Create a site on came.io
④Associate the access control module with the site.
⑤Launch site configuration.

Technical requirements
Properly functioning LAN, preferably with an internet connection. If no LAN is available, use a reliable 4G cellular connection or
a compatible Wi-Fi connection.
Power supply: 12V - 24V AC/DC or PoE (Power over Ethernet)
Minimum network specifications:
- 1000BASE-T Ethernet (IEEE 802.3-2012);
- DHCP;
- DNS.
Minimum internet connection specifications:
- Download >30Mbit/s;
- Upload: >5Mbit/s;
- Latency: 40ms;
Ports for communication with the Cloud:
- 443 (out): for communication with came.io UDP/TCP;
- 4040 (out): for communication with mqtt.bluecherry.io UDP/TCP;

Connect the Ethernet/PoE port of the module to the network.
In PoE connection, the ACS01 receives power via the Ethernet
cable. Connecting the power cable is optional.
When no PoE is available, power the ACS01 locally
via the corresponding terminal.10

Connecting the power supply
The ACS01 can be powered in two ways:
1. Ethernet (PoE) - preferable( 11 )
2. Electrical connections for 12V or 24V AC/DC(10 )
The red LED Pis stable when there is power.
Both the power supply and the PoE can also be connected. The PoE will always be used as the primary power
supply. In the event of a connection failure, the module will switch to the traditional power supply.

CONFIGURATION - CLOUD PORTAL
First access to the Cloud
To access the software, the module needs to be connected to the chosen network. See "How to connect to the
network".
Configuration is performed online. Use an up-to-date internet browser.

Go to www.came.io and click on [Create account] to create an account.
Fill in all the required fields and click on [Create account].
The user will receive an email at the email address entered when creating an account.
Click on the link in the email to activate the account.
Click on [Add new site] to start configuring the system.
Name the site and click [Next] to continue. Choose an image to assign to the site (optional).
The site has now been added to the account and can be found on the overview page.

Module claim
Click on to associate an ACS01 module with the desired site.
Scroll down to [Devices] and click on [Associate device].

Name the device.
Enter the ID in the relevant field. Be careful with capital letters.
The module ID has 26 digits.
Go back to the main page and click on [Open site] to start configuring the module.

CONFIGURATION - SITE
From the top menu it is possible to access the site configuration categories.
ATo access [Manual Control] and [Dashboard], click on [Overview].
BTo access [Manage Zones], [Manage Passages], [Manage Schedules] and [Manage Anti-Passback], click on [Access
Control].
CTo access [Manage Users] and [Manage Groups], click on [Users].
Zones
To create a zone, click on [Access control].
Select [Manage zones].
The [Uncontrolled zone] is a preconfigured zone covering everywhere not included in the added zones. Do not
delete this zone.
To add a new zone, click on [Add new zone].
Name the zone(e.g. [Reception]).
An unlimited number of people are allowed in this zone by default. To limit access, enter a number in the [Max.
no. users] field.
This is recommended where there are a limited number of spaces (e.g. in a car park).
Click on [Add new zone] to save.

To add a new passage, click on [Access control].
Next select [Manage Passages].
Then click on [Add new passage].
Name the passage Aand select the type of operator between the zones from the dropdown list. B
Click [Yes] under [Enable Anti-Passback] to enable Anti-Passback for this passage. C
Select the two zones the passage will connect from the dropdown menus [Zone 1] and [Zone 2]. D
Make sure the readers are installed on the correct side of the configured passage. This is indicated in the
heading.
Set the module inputs and outputs. F
Click [New] to connect the readers to the passage. E
Name the reader. G
Select the ACS01 module connected to the reader. H
Select the reader type from the dropdown menu. I
Select the connection type. J
Select the corresponding port. K

Click on [Add to passage] to save.The reader has been added to the [Reception].

To view the operator status from the passage image, go to [Overview - Manual control].
Users and groups
Groups
Click on [Users] and select [Manage groups].
Click on [Add new group].
Name the group A. If required, set the maximum number of users allowed in the group. B
To add zones to which users in this group have access, select a zone from the dropdown list and click [+]. C
Add the [Uncontrolled zone] to the group if users are authorised to exit the building/area using their badge.
If users are authorised to access zones and/or passages at set times, add the schedule under [Allowed access schedules].
Select the relevant time period from the list and add with [+]. D
Scroll to the bottom and click on [Save changes].
Click [Yes] under [Enable Anti-Passback] to enable Anti-Passback for this group. E
The Anti-Passback function must first be activated at the [Site] level.

Users
Select [Users] and click on [Manage users].
Click on [Add new user].
To add a temporary user, click [Yes] and enter the start and end date when this user will be active. A
Enter all required data.
The [Position] is where the badge will be used for the first time. For example, if visitors receive their badge at reception, the
position will be [Reception]. B
The user position must be set, where the Anti-Passback function is enabled. This is so as to prevent problems
with the Anti-Passback function.

Add a new [Badge] by entering the badge number in the relevant field. Be careful with capital letters. C
The badge number can be found on the badge itself.
Click [+] to save and assign this badge to the user.
A user may have several badges. Repeat the procedure to assign each badge.
When using a desktop reader, select the text box and scan the badge using the desktop reader to add it.
Alternatively, scan the badge directly on the transponder. To do this, click [Scan]. D
Choose the reader to use for scanning the badge. The reader must have been configured as specified under "Manage
passages".
Scan the badge using the reader.
The badge number will appear on the screen.
If there are badges already saved in the system, click on [List]. E
View the existing badges and select one to assign to a user.
The next step is to assign users to a group.
Choose the group and click on [+] to add a user to this group.
Users can be part of more than one group. If this is the case, user permissions are assigned based on the group with the most
limited access rights.
Click on [Add new user] to save.
