Congratulations on selecting your new Microscope! In order to achieve
optimum performance, please follow instructions for proper use and care.

SETTING UP
1. Place microscope on a secure surface.
2. Insert the end of the power cord into
the microscope’s Power Port
13 and
plug the opposite end into any
standard outlet.
3. Place Eyepiece 1into Draw Tube
2 .
4. Position specimen on Stage 6 , with
area of interest centered.
Note: Before using slide, wipe both
sides with a damp microfiber cloth to
remove dust, dirt or debris.
5. Use Stage Clips 5 to securely hold
down slide or specimen.
6. Rotate Turret

4 (always begin with
lowest power) is directly above
specimen.
7. Turn Power Switch

position.
CHOOSING APPROPRIATE LIGHT (Transmitted or Reflective)
For Transparent Specimens: For Opaque or Reflective Specimens:
For specimens such as biological slides, rotate the For specimens such as a leaf or a metal object,

FOCUSING
1. Look into Eyepiece and you should see a white circular field.
2. Slowly adjust the Focus Knob

10 until the area of interest is sharp and clear.
3. Adjust light intensity on light source(s) to achieve best image.
Warning: Be careful that the Objective Lens does not touch the specimen. It can damage the Objective Lens and/or
specimen.

To change magnification, rotate the Turret so that the
desired Objective Lens is directly above specimen.
Refocus as needed.
COLOR FILTERS
Color filters may be used to enhance contrast on
clear or stained slides. To use color filters, rotate
Filter Wheel until it clicks into desired color filter.

CARE & CLEANING
• When moving the microscope, hold by the neck or base of the microscope body. Never hold by the eyepiece,
draw tube, or turret.
• Cleaning:
1. Unplug power cord and use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean microscope body.
2.Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth and rub gently to remove dust or debris on eyepiece or objective lens.
Do NOT rub with a dry cloth. This can scratch the eyepiece and/or objective lens.
3. Store microscope in original packaging to protect from dirt, debris, dust or moisture.
