6.Escapinghydraulic/dieseluidunderpressurecanpenetratetheskincausingseriousinjury.Ifuidisinjected
intotheskin,obtainmedicalattentionimmediatelyorgangrenemayresult.
•DONOTuseyourhandtocheckforleaks.
•Useapieceofcardboardorpapertosearchforleaks.
•Stoptheengineandrelievepressurebeforeconnectingordisconnectinglines.
•Tightenallconnectionsbeforestartingtheengineorpressurizinglines.
7.Donotmodifyorpermitanyoneelsetomodifyoralterthistractororanyofitscomponentsorfunctionswithout
rstconsultingaCASEIHAGRICULTUREDealer.
8.Thefueloilintheinjectionsystemisunderhighpressureandcanpenetratetheskin.Unqualiedpersons
shouldnotremoveorattempttoadjustapump,injector,nozzle,oranyotherpartofthefuelinjectionsystem.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructionscanresultinseriousinjury.
9.Continuouslong-termcontactwithusedengineoilmaycauseskincancer.Avoidprolongedcontactwithused
engineoil.Washskinpromptlywithsoapandwater.
10.Somecomponentsofyourtractor,suchasgasketsandfrictionsurfaces(brakelinings,clutchlinings,etc.)may
containasbestos.Breathingasbestosdustisdangeroustoyourhealth.Youareadvisedtohaveanymainte-
nanceorrepaironsuchcomponentscarriedoutbyanauthorizedCASEIHAGRICULTUREDealer.However,
ifserviceoperationsaretobeundertakenonpartsthatcontainasbestos,theessentialprecautionslistedbelow
mustbeobserved:
•Workoutofdoorsorinawellventilatedarea.
•Dustfoundonthetractororproducedduringworkonthetractorshouldberemovedbyextraction,notby
blowing.
•Dustwasteshouldbedampened,placedinasealedcontainer,andmarkedtoensuresafedisposal.
•Ifanycutting,drilling,etc.isattemptedonmaterialscontainingasbestos,theitemshouldbedampened
andonlyhandtoolsorlowspeedpowertoolsused.
OPERATINGTHETRACTOR
1.Beforestartingthetractor,applytheparkingbrake,placethePTOleverinthe'OFF'position,theliftcontrollever
inthedownposition,theremotecontrolvalveleversintheneutralposition,andthetransmissioninneutral.
2.Alwayssitinthetractorseatwhenstartingtheengineoroperatingcontrols.Donotstarttheengineoroperate
controlswhilestandingbesidethetractor.
3.Donotbypasstheneutralstartswitches.ConsultyourCASEIHAGRICULTUREDealerifyourneutralstart
controlsmalfunction.Usejumpercablesonlyintherecommendedmanner.Improperusecanresultintractor
runaway.
4.Avoidaccidentalcontactwiththegearshiftleverwhiletheengineisrunning,asthiscancauseunexpected
tractormovement.
5.Beforegettingoffthetractor,disengagethePTO,turntheengineoff,andapplytheparkingbrake.Neverget
offthetractorwhileitisinmotion.
6.Donotparkthetractoronasteepincline.
7.Donotoperatethetractorengineinanenclosedbuildingwithoutadequateventilation.Exhaustfumescan
causedeathorillness.
8.Ifthepowersteeringorengineceasesoperating,stopthetractorimmediately.
9.Pullonlyfromthedrawbarorthelowerlinkdrawbarinthedownposition.Useonlyadrawbarpinthatlocksin
place.Pullingfromthetractorrearaxleoranypointabovetheaxlemaycausethetractortoupset.
