(Fig. 16) WARNING! When travelling by car,
this diagonal safety belt must ALWAYS be
threaded through this slot.
4. Pull the belt as tightly as possible, without
leaving any slack and making sure it is
not twisted.
5. Turn the carry handle to position A (Fig. 17).
To remove the child car seat:
1. Release the car safety belt by pressing
the buckle.
2. Bring the carry handle into the position
B (vertical).
3. Unthread the belt through the diagonal
and horizontal slots.
3. OTHER OPERATIONS
3.1 PLACING THE CHILD IN THE CHILD
CAR SEAT AND ADJUSTING THE
SAFETY HARNESS
To adjust the harness straps, proceed as follows:
1. Pressing the adjustment button (Fig. 2 - I)
and pull the child car seat harness straps
to loosen them (Fig. 18).
2. Press the red button (Fig. 19A) to open
the buckle and keep the harness straps
spread apart (Fig. 19B).
3. Place the baby on the seat. WARNING! The
harness straps must always be adjusted
to adapt to the child’s growth phase. Be-
fore installing the child car seat inside the
vehicle, adjust the harness straps to the
right height. To adjust them correctly, the
harness straps must come out from the
backrest at the height of the child’s shoul-
ders (Fig. 20). The headrest and straps can
be adjusted simultaneously in height to
6 dierent positions using button Q (Fig.
4-A) to follow your child’s growth.
4. Overlap the two ends of the harness
straps, insert them together inside the
buckle until you hear them clicking (Fig.
21) WARNING! Never insert just one end
of the harness into the buckle and do not
insert them one at a time. Press button Q
to adjust the straps.
5. Tighten the child car seat’s safety harness
by pulling the adjustment strap (Fig. 22).
WARNING! The booster cushion guarantees
the correct support and the ideal position
for the neck and back of babies from when
they are born until they weigh about 6 kg.
X. NEVER use.
B. Position when carried by hand.
C. Rocker chair mode position or when you need
to fasten it to an appropriate Chicco stroller.
D. Fixed rocker chair position.
To adjust the position, press both buttons (M)
on the handle bar together and rotate it to the
desired position until you hear it click into place.
1.5 RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIRE-
MENTS REGARDING THE USE OF
THE PRODUCT AND CAR SEAT
WARNING! Strictly complies with the follow-
ing restrictions and requirements for use
concerning the product and vehicle’s seat:
safety will not be guaranteed otherwise.
• The child car seat can be tted on the front
passenger seat or any other back seat. In any
case the vehicle seat must be used forward
facing. Never use this Car seat rear facing on
any vehicle’s seat (Fig. 6). The vehicle’s seat
must be equipped with 3-point seat belts
whether static or retractable, approved
according to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16 or
other equivalent standards (Fig. 7).
• WARNING! In case of use in vehicles equip-
ped with rear seat belts with integrated
airbags (inatable belts), the interaction
of the inatable portion of the vehicle’s
belt with this child restraint can result in
serious injury or death! Do not install this
child restraint using an inatable seat belt.
• WARNING! Never t the child car seat to a
vehicle seat that is only equipped with a
2-point safety belt (Fig.. 8)
• Never use the booster cushion if the child
weighs more than 6 kg.
• Make sure that the car’s 3-point seat belt
buckle is not too high (Fig. 11- 15). Other-
wise, try to install the car seat on another
vehicle’s seat.
2. CAR INSTALLATION
The child car seat can be installed with or
without base (E). In either case, the child car
seat must always be installed rear facing.
2.1 INSTALLATION WITH BASE
To install the child car seat with base on the
vehicle seat, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the child car seat from the base
(E) by pulling the release lever behind the
backrest and then lift it up using the carry
handle (Fig. 9).
2. Position the base on the chosen vehicle’s
seat. Position it as seen in Fig. 10 in order
to touch the vehicle seat’s backrest.
3. Pull the vehicle safety belt and fasten
it to the relevant buckle, inserting the
horizontal (waist) part of the belt through
the two blue slots (L) and pull it as tightly
as possible (Fig. 11).
4. Attach the child car seat on the base (rear
facing) and push it down until you hear it
click into place (Fig. 12).
5. Check that the child car seat is correctly
tted on the base by lifting the front and
rear sections.
6. Pull the diagonal car safety belt and thread
it through the relevant slot (O) on the
back of the child car seat’s backrest (Fig.
13) WARNING! When travelling by car, this
diagonal safety belt must ALWAYS be
threaded through this slot.
7. Pull the belt as tightly as possible, without
leaving any slack and making sure it is
not twisted.
8. Turn the carry handle to position A1 (Fig.. 14).
WARNING! After installing the child car seat,
ALWAYS check that the vehicle safety belt is
tightened properly along the entire length
of the belt and that no parts are twisted.
NEVER t the car safety belt in any other
way not mentioned in these instructions.
To remove the child car seat leaving the
base on the vehicle seat:
1. Unthread the diagonal belt through the
slots in the backrest without removing it
from the buckle.
2. Bring the handle bar to vertical position
B (Fig. 5).
3. Remove the child car seat as illustrated
above by pressing button P.
2.2 INSTALLATION WITHOUT BASE
To install the child car seat without the base,
proceed as follows:
1. Position the child car seat on the selected
car seat (Fig. 15) rear facing.
2. Pull the vehicle safety belt and fasten it
to the relevant buckle, inserting the hori-
zontal (waist) part of the belt through the
child car seat’s two blue slots (K) (Fig. 15).
3. Take the diagonal car safety belt and
thread it through the relevant blue slot (O)
