Using the toilet without a bowl liner may cause system failure and damage the toilet.

REMEMBER TO USE A BOWL LINER FOR EACH AND
EVERY USE. If you do not use bowl liners, it will cause
bad odors and wear out the product. Cinderella
Original Bowl Liners are made of a special paper
coated with polyethylene lm. This liner is necessary
to catch and contain the waste, and then convey it
into the incineration chamber without spilling on the
surface of the bowl. If you use bowl liners correctly and
consistently, you will also simplify the cleaning process,
making it easier to have a hygienic and clean bowl at
all times.
CINDERELLA ORIGINAL BOWL LINERS are specially
designed for Cinderella incineration toilets, and We
recommend that you always use these bowl liners
with your Cinderella Comfort incineration toilet. Using
other bowl liners for incineration toilets will not void
the warranty, but they may t poorly and could cause
spilling and bad odors.

Cinderella Comfort sets an entirely new standard of comfort and convenience among incineration toilets. This is
due largely to its ground-breaking new air circulation system, which supplies all air necessary for incineration from
exterior air, and thus does not impact the air pressure and temperature of the room.
Using the toilet is simple and easy, with only the prerequisite of inserting the original bowl liner into the bowl before
each use. This liner helps keep the waterless bowl clean and odor-free and serves as a transportation of all waste.
After each use, at the touch of a button, the bowl liner with its contents is removed from the toilet bowl to an isolated
incineration chamber at the bottom of the toilet, where it is safely incinerated at a high temperature, leaving only an
insignificant amount of ash. During the incineration process, the air circulation system provides the oxygen necessary
for proper incineration, removing excess heat rapidly and safely through the exhaust vent. All fumes and vapors are
processed through a heat-activated platinum catalyst to reduce emissions and remove excess odor. Thanks to
Cinderella Comfort’s innovative design, all necessary air is provided from the exterior, eliminating the need to draw
oxygen from inside the room.
The incineration process occurs in the background and automatically stops whenever the toilet needs to be used.
Even when making a visit, users are never exposed to the incineration chamber or any partially incinerated waste.
Numerous safeguards exist to ensure clean and easy usage of the toilet, without any safety risk. Cinderella Comfort’s
unique ventilation system ensures that the room temperature is not affected by the incineration process and allows
users to continue using other air-dependent equipment such as ventilation fans as required.

• The incineration process is inactive while the toilet lid is open. The heater element will not start until the seat and
lid are closed.
• The hatch to the incineration chamber CANNOT remain open while the toilet is still hot (e.g. during cleaning). This
is only possible when the toilet has cooled down and the fan has stopped.
• Should a ventilation problem arise and the internal temperature of the toilet increase to exceed 170 °F (80°C),
incineration will be interrupted and a warning message displayed. This situation requires a manual reset to
ensure the ventilation issue is addressed before the toilet can be used again.
• If the ash container is improperly positioned after emptying, incineration will not start and a warning light and
message will be displayed.
• The air circulation system will continue to operate, even in the case of a power failure, until the internal tempera-
ture of the toilet has returned to the normal range. The internal fan can continue to operate for up to five hours
on battery power.
• If the incineration chamber hatch mechanism gets jammed or is prevented from closing properly, incineration will
not start and an error message will be displayed.
• The Cinderella Comfort’s on board computer includes a “watchdog” system which monitors internal temperatures
and other indicators. If it detects anything unexpected, incineration will stop immediately and a warning message
displayed.

SAFETY BACKUP BATTERY
Your Cinderella Comfort is equipped with a backup battery which is activated in the event of a power outage, for
cooling down if the toilet is hot. If the power remains out for longer periods of time, battery lifetime will be reduced.
Test the battery as follows:
• Control that the toilet has been connected to the power supply for at least 2 days, before checking the battery.
• Unplug the toilet from the power supply.
• Open and close the toilet lid, the text in display will indicate that the battery is functional.
• If the battery is faulty, it must be replaced to ensure the safety of the toilet.

THE CONTROL PANEL
Your Cinderella Comfort will indicate when it is time to empty the ash container. The display will read ‘‘EMPTY THE
ASH CONTAINER” and you will hear 3 short beeps when the toilet lid is opened. If not emptied within a short period of
time, the toilet will lock down. At this point the yellow and red lights are constantly lit and the display will read ‘‘TOILET
LOCKED CONTAINER FULL”. You will hear 3 short beeps every 10 seconds until the ash container is emptied.
Hold down the “Select language” button for 3 seconds until “Language” is displayed on the first text line.
The current language will be displayed on the second line. Push the ”Select language” button repeatedly until the
desired language is displayed. The new language will be saved a few seconds after you press the button, and the
toilet will resume operation.
SELECTING YOUR LANGUAGE
The control panel is equipped with a combination of light, sound and display messages that will give the user the best
possible user experience. There are a number of light and sound combinations that will tell the user about the status
of the system, the user must therefore familiarize themselves well with these signals before use. An overview of all
the light and sound signals can be found in the troubleshooting table on page 16.
• Green light indicates that there is power connected to the toilet, when it only lights up in the green lamp, the
toilet is in standby and ready for use.
• Yellow light indicates ongoing incineration process and will light constantly while the toilet is in incineration mode
• Red light indicates interruption and will alert the user that the toilet is no longer incinerating or standby.

1. Check that the green light on the control panel is lit,
indicating the unit is powered and ready for use.
HOW TO USE THE CINDERELLA COMFORT TOILET
2. Lift the toilet lid and seat. A red light starts
flashing. The ventilation fan starts
3. Place a bowl liner in the bowl. Use a new bowl liner on
every visit.
4. Lower the seat. The toilet is ready for use.
5. Use the toilet as usual. If little waste is produced, it
may be helpful to pour some water into the bowl to add
weight.
6. Close the toilet lid
7. Push the Start button to drop the bowl liner and its
contents into the incineration chamber. Incineration
begins as soon as the hatch is closed. The toilet is now
ready for the next user.
8. A constant yellow light will display during active
incineration. The toilet may be used at any point. This
will temporarily interrupt incineration. Incineration time
may vary based on the number of visits and amount of
waste.

• In the event of a problem, please refer to the appliance data plate on the back of the toilet.
• The toilet is tested to withstand maximum weights of up to 200 kg.
• Always remember to place a new liner in the toilet bowl before use.
• The toilet lid must always be closed when the toilet is not in use. Incineration cannot continue until the lid has
been closed.
• The incineration cycle could take up to three hours from the most recent visit.
• The fan will continue to run until incineration is completed and the internal temperature of the toilet has returned
to the normal range. Cooling can take up to ninety minutes after incineration is completed.
• Your Cinderella toilet may be used at any point during the incineration or cooling processes. Incineration is
interrupted during use. Be sure to press Start at the completion of each visit.
The total liquid-holding capacity of the system is 5 liters/1 imperial gallon. The Cinderella system is designed for a
typical usage of no more than three to four visits per hour. To avoid overload, more than six visits per hour is not
recommended. Overloading the toilet with many visits in a short period of time, without completing an incineration
cycle, can result in odors and leakage and may damage the toilet.
The ash container should be emptied frequently for best operation and more efficient incineration. Your Cinderella
Comfort will display a message to empty the container after 100 uses, and will lock out further visits if not emptied
after 130 visits. Failing to empty the ash container when full may cause damage to the toilet and void your warranty.

PREPARING YOUR TOILET FOR A LENGTHY PERIOD OF NON-USE
In cases of longer periods of absence the waste must be incinerated, and the ash container emptied and properly
cleaned. When cleaned it is recommended to complete a final incineration without adding any waste or water, the
heat will then dry out all humidity and reduce the chance of corrosive wear while stored.
To start an incineration without adding any waste, please follow these three steps:
1. Check that green light is on, and that the ash container is emptied and properly cleaned.
2. Open the lid until the fan starts.
3. Close the lid and push the start button.
The toilet should be stored dry, and to reduce the external influences of temperature variations and moisture, it is
recommended to disconnect the toilet from the ventilation pipes when there is lengthy period of non-use. Remember
to always reinstall the toilet before use.
The toilet should be connected to the power supply in order to protect the toilet against external damage
In order to preserve the life of the battery it is recommended that the toilet is connected to power during storage, but
it is important to disconnect the toilet if there is a risk of external damage, over-voltage or lightning strike.
NOTICE!
• When performing the final preparatory storage incineration, you may disconnect the toilet plug when the yellow
light is shut off and incineration complete (normally 40-50 minutes), the system cooling will be completed on
battery power.
• If disconnected from power, the battery will start charging when it is reconnected to the 230V power supply.

Should the situation require an unusually high number of guests to use the toilet for a short period of time, please
follow these tips:
1. Empty the ash container completely before guests arrive.
2. Preheat the toilet before use by opening and closing the lid then pushing the Start button.
3. Ensure guests are instructed to properly use a bowl liner and press Start after every visit.
4. Check regularly to ensure the toilet lid is closed and the yellow incineration light remains lit.
5. You may need to run an extra incineration cycle or two before emptying the ash container to ensure incineration
has fully completed.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Failure to perform proper maintenance as described in the manual will void warranty.
NOTICE!
In order to ensure optimal operation and extend the lifetime of your Cinderella Comfort, you will need to set aside
a little time for preventative maintenance. Good maintenance routines will give you lower operating costs and cause
less wear on the product.
Recommended frequency: Weekly
1–6 steps as written:
1. Make sure that the toilet is cold and in standby mode.
2. Remove the front cover and rotate the ash container until the handle is pointing straight towards you.
3. The flashing red and yellow lights indicate that the ash container is out of position.
4. The display will read “Ash container out of position”.
5. Remove the insert (the innermost bowl) and dispose the ash. Pour hot water into the insert and leave it for about
15-30 minutes, before cleaning with a brush (do not use any sharp tools).
6. Put the insert back into the ash container and place the container back into the toilet by rotating the handle to
the left, until it stops. The red and yellow lights will turn off. The display reads “Ready for use” when the container
is in the correct position. Place the front cover back on toilet.
EMPTYING THE ASH CONTAINER

Removing the ash container while hot may cause burn injuries.
It’s recommended to always perform the steam cleaning as described on page 13, when the toilet is emptied and
insert properly cleaned. This will improve the incineration efficiency and reduce the wear of critical components.

1. Open the toilet lid.
2. Press and hold the Start button for three seconds to open the hatch to the washing position.
3. Use moist paper, water and a mild cleaning agent as required.
4. Close the lid and start the incineration
CLEANING THE BOWL
Do not use chlorine-based cleaning agents to clean the bowl. Chlorine is extremely harmful for the catalyst, and if put
into the toilet it may cause the catalyst to malfunction.

STEAM CLEANING
Recommended frequency: After every one hundred uses or when emptying the ash container

1. Ensure that the toilet is cold and the ash container has been emptied and cleaned.
2. Remove the front cover and release the ash container
3. Pour approximately 1/4 gallon (1 liter) of clean water into the toilet insert
4. Insert the ash container carefully so that you don’t spill out the water
5. Press Start to begin an incineration cycle. The water will start to boil and the steam will clean the exhaust system.
Do not use the toilet while steam cleaning the system, this
will prevent the effect of steam cleaning. The toilet is ready
to use when the toilet returns to standby mode.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Recommended frequency: Annually or after every 500 incinerations (1 box of bowl liners)
1–6 steps as written:
1. Disconnect the power cable and pull the toilet off the inlet/outlet pipes.
2. Release and remove the ash container.
3. In the center of the fan housing at the back of the toilet, you will find the venturi and flue termination pipe. If you
are having trouble locating the flue termination, please see the technical diagram on page 6.
4. Clean the flue termination pipe with a flexible brush, use a vacuum cleaner afterwards to extract the remaining
particles from the flue gases. (Remove the ash container to ensure that you have access to air).
5. Reinstall the toilet properly, make sure that both the inlet and outlet pipes are correctly fixed to the toilet.
6. Put the insert back into the ash container and place the container back into the toilet by rotating the handle to
the left until it stops. The red and yellow lights will turn off. The display reads “Ready for use” when the container
is in the correct position. Place the front cover back on the toilet.
CLEANING THE VENTURI AND FLUE TERMINATION PIPE
Recommended frequency: Annually or every 1000 uses
1–5 steps as written:
1. Unplug the toilet.
2. Pull the toilet away from the ventilation pipes and set it aside.
3. Using a hand-held brush with firm bristles, carefully clean any dirt, dust or other objects obstructing the airflow
from the horizontal inlet and outlet pipes.
4. Remove the chimney cap and the T-bend bottom cap from the vertical ventilation pipe.
5. Using a chimney sweeping brush, clean any built up material from the interior of the vertical ventilation pipe.

TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ
DURING A POWER OUTAGE
If waste is burning when there is a power outage, you
may get smoke and odor on the outside. The fan will be
operated by the battery, but the heating element will not
start again until you restart the toilet. When the power
comes back on, open and close the lid to simulate use,
then push Start. NEVER USE THE TOILET DURING A
POWER OUTAGE.
ODOR IN THE ROOM
Can be any one of several causes:
1. Failure to use a bowl liner each and every time or
careless use of the liner.
2. The airflow may be blocked. Inspect the outlet pipe
and chimney cap.
3. Check that the installation has been performed
in accordance with the installation manual, too
much restriction in the outlet air could cause back
pressure and cause odor inside.
4. The flue termination pipe may be clogged. See
annual maintenance section “Cleaning the venturi
and flue termination pipe”.
5. The catalyst may be clogged. See regular mainte-
nance section “Steam cleaning”.
ODOR OUTSIDE
Causes may be the same as for in the room plus:
1. The catalyst is activated from heat. When the toilet
is cold it can take a few minutes before the catalyst
starts to work.
2. The catalyst may be faulty. Contact the service
support.
BLACK CHARCOAL RESIDUE
Ash should be gray. Black lumps indicate insufficient
incineration and it may be related to restrictions in
the airflow or insufficient air is being drawn into the
chamber. Check your installation. Perform
maintenance and when you clean the ash container,
make sure that you don’t leave any residue that may
cause problems.
NOISE FROM THE FAN
If the fan starts making noise, try to pull the toilet off
the ventilation pipes and see if the sound persists. If
the sound persists try to clean the fan. You can access
the fan from the rear wall behind the exhaust pipe, or
you could remove the back cover for better access. Use
a small brush or similar to clean the fan housing. If the
operation is successful, reinstall toilet before use. If the
fan is faulty, contact service for replacement.
RESETTING THE TOILET SYSTEM
During cleaning and troubleshooting, resetting the
electronics may sometimes be helpful. Do this by
pushing the Start button. You will hear a short beep.
Hold down the button for about 8 seconds until you
hear a long beep, then release the button.

What does this Warranty cover?
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in your Cinderella Incineration Unit on the terms, for the
period and subject to the exceptions set out below.
What does this Warranty not cover?
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accidents (including re, oods, hurricanes
or acts of nature), abuse, misuse, failure to follow manufacturer directions or improper maintenance. Consequential
and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation
of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
How long does the Warranty apply?
This warranty lasts for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase.
What will Cinderella Eco Canada Ltd. do?
If you submit a valid claim under this warranty, Cinderella Eco Canada Ltd. will either repair, replace or refund the
purchase price of your Cinderella Incineration Unit, at its sole discretion.
How do I arrange a service?
To arrange a service, call Cinderella Eco Canada Ltd. or visit an Authorized Service Provider. Available service options
are dependent on the country in which service is requested and may be restricted to the original state in which the
sale took place. Call charges and shipping charges may apply, depending on the location.
You may be required to furnish proof of purchase details when making a claim under this warranty. For further

RAPPELEZ-VOUS D’UTILISER UN SAC EN PAPIER
À CHAQUE UTILISATION. Si vous n’utilisez pas de
sacs en papier, cela produira de mauvaises odeurs et
endommagera la toilette. Les sacs en papier d’origine
Cinderella sont fabriqués à partir de papier spécial
revêtu d’un lm en polyéthylène. Ce sac est nécessaire
pour recevoir et retenir les déchets, puis les transpor-
ter dans la chambre d’incinération sans éclabousse-
ment sur la surface de la cuvette. Si vous utilisez les
sacs en papier correctement et à chaque fois, vous
simplierez également le nettoyage et votre cuvette
sera toujours propre et hygiénique. SACS EN PAPIER
D’ORIGINE CINDERELLA sont spécialement conçus pour
les toilettes sèches à incinération Cinderella. Il est re-
commandé de toujours utiliser ces sacs en papier avec
votre toilette sèche à incineration Cinderella Comfort.
L’utilisation d’autres sacs en papier n’invalidera pas
votre garantie, toutefois il se peut qu’ils ne soient pas
correctement adaptés et entraînent des débordements
et mauvaises odeurs.
