Before you start using the Cinderella GAS toilet, please carefully read the user instructions.
These instructions provide you with the necessary guidance for the proper use and handling of your toilet. Pay
particular attention to the safety instructions. Keep these instructions in a safe place so you can refer to them
when required.

2.1 GENERAL SAFETY
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage in the following cases:
• Damage to the product resulting from mechanical factors and incorrect connection voltages
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in the operating manual
• Do not operate the incineration toilet if it is visibly damaged.
• If the connection cable for the toilet is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service
orasimilarlyqualiedpersoninordertopreventsafetyhazards.
• Thisincinerationtoiletmayonlyberepairedbyqualiedpersonnel.Unauthorisedrepairscanresultincon-
siderable danger or damage to the toilet.
• Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• Donotuseanyexplosivesubstancesorammablecleaningagents,suchasspraycanswithpropellants
when cleaning the toilet.
• The toilet is solely designed to burn bodily waste products and small sanitary products such as tampons,
sanitary pads and baby, face and cleaning wipes.
• Young children must be supervised when they use Cinderella incineration toilets.

2.2 SAFE OPERATION
• The ash container in the toilet will become very hot when the toilet is in use. Make sure the safety cover is in
place when the toilet is in use. Do not empty the ash container until the toilet has cooled completely.
• Theseatandliddonothaveasoft-closefunction.Takecarenottocrushyourhandsorngerswhenclosing
the lid and seat.
Danger of poor incineration and overheating of the system!
• Always use a new bowl liner when using the toilet.
• Alwaysensuresucientventilationsothattheheatgeneratedduringtheoperationcandissipate.

• Itisimperativethattheoperatingpressurecorrespondstothedataspeciedontheratingplateoftheback
of the appliance.
• Never store liquid gas cylinders in unventilated areas or below ground level (funnel-shaped holes in the
ground).
• Keepliqueedpetroleumgascylindersawayfromdirectsunlight.Thetemperaturemaynotexceed50°C
• Neveruseanunshieldedametocheckgas-bearingpartsandpipesforleakageasthispresentsariskof
reorexplosion.
• In case of gas odour:
– Close the gas supply stopcock and the valve on the cylinder.
– Open all windows and leave the room.
– Do not turn on any electrical switches.
–Putoutanynakedames.
– Have the gas system checked by a specialist.
2.3 SAFETY WHEN OPERATING WITH GAS
Only use propane gas or high-quality LPG (not natural gas)
2.4 CINDERELLA SAFETY FEATURES
• The incineration process is inactive while the toilet lid is open. The Incineration will not start until the seat
and lid are closed.
• The hatch to the incineration chamber CANNOT remain open while the toilet is still hot (e.g. during cleaning).
This is only possible when the toilet has cooled down and the fan has stopped.
• Shouldaventilationproblemariseandtheinternaltemperatureofthetoiletincreasetomorethan170°F
(80°C),incinerationwillbeinterruptedandawarningmessagedisplayed.Thissituationrequiresamanual
reset to ensure the ventilation issue is addressed before the toilet can be used again.
• If the ash container is improperly positioned after emptying, incineration will not start and a warning light
and message will be displayed.
• If the combustion chamber hatch mechanism gets jammed or is prevented from closing properly, incinerati-
on will not start and an error message will be displayed.
• The Cinderella GAS’s smart software includes a ’watchdog’ function that monitors the heat while incineration
is taking place, any detected deviations from the normal temperature range will immediately result in the
incineration stopping and a warning message being displayed.

3. INTENDED USE
The Cinderella GAS toilet is intended for indoor use in residential home, second home, outhouse, site welfare
unit, boathouse, pool house and cabin installations.
The toilet is solely designed to burn bodily waste products and small sanitary products such as tampons, sanita-
ry pads and baby, face and cleaning wipes. Using Cinderella GAS to burn other items constitutes misuse and will
void your warranty. Misuse may also cause damage to the toilet or your property and could harm you or those
around you.
DO NOT PUT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS INTO THE TOILET
• Excessive amounts of paper of any kind
• Newspaper
• Paper towels
• Flammable liquids or materials
• Cigarette lighters
• Cigarettes or cigars
• Gasoline
• Alcoholic drinks or liquors
• Alcohol or rubbing alcohol
• Nail polish remover
• Lighteruid
• Lamp oil / kerosene
• Aerosol containers
• Glass or plastic bottles or containers etc.
HOW TO HANDLE THE WASTE

3.1 PROHIBITED ITEMS
Cinderella GAS products have been tested and approved by the consumer safety testing body UL, and given the
C-UL-US recognition mark. This mark indicates that the product is complies with Canadian and U.S. safety requi-
rements,andsatisestheapplicablestandards.

The Cinderella GAS incineration toilet is designed to incinerate human faeces, urine, tampons and toilet paper
only. REMEMBER TO USE A BOWL LINER EVERY TIME THE TOILET IS USED. If you do not use bowl liners, it will
cause bad odours and wear out the product.
NEVER PUT THE FOLLOWING

materials

• Aerosol containers
• Glass or plastic bottles or
containers etc.

• Always remember to place a new liner in the toilet bowl before use.
• The toilet lid must always be closed when the toilet is not in use. Incineration cannot continue until the lid has
been closed.
• The incineration cycle could take up to three hours from the most recent visit.
• The fan will continue to run until incineration is completed and the internal temperature of the toilet has re-
turned to the normal range. Cooling can take up to ninety minutes after incineration is completed, depending
on the temperature of the air provided for cooling.
• Your Cinderella toilet may be used at any point during the incineration or cooling processes. Incineration is
interrupted during use. Be sure to press Start at the completion of each visit.
The Cinderella Comfort is designed to handle three to four visits per hour. To avoid overload, more than six visits
per hour is not recommended. Overloading the toilet with many visits in a short period of time, without comple-
ting an incineration cycle, can result in odours and leakage, and may damage the toilet.
5.1 CAPACITY 4 VISITS PER HOUR
The total liquid capacity of the system’s waste container is 5 litres. The ash container should be emptied
frequently(onceaweek)forbestoperationandmoreecientcombustion.
Your Cinderella GAS will display a message to empty the container after 100 uses, and will lock out further visits if
not emptied after 130 visits. We reccomend that you empty the toilet as often as possible to ensure better incine-
rationeciencyandlesswearoftheproduct.
Failing to empty the ash container when full may cause damage to the toilet and void your warranty.
5.2 EMPTY FREQUENCY
In cases of longer periods of non-use or risk of lightning strikes, the plug should be disconnected
from the power supply in order to protect the toilet against external damage. NB! The waste must
beincineratedandtheyellowlightswitchedobefore
disconnecting the plug. If unburned waste remains in the toilet, this could cause substantial dama-
geovertime.Thetoiletshouldbestoreddry,andtoreducetheexternalinuencesoftemperature
variations and moisture, it may be wise to disconnect the toilet from the pipes for longer periods
of non-use. Remember to always reinstall the toilet before use.
5.3 PREPARING YOUR TOILET FOR A LENGTHY
PERIOD ON NON-USE

REMEMBER TO USE A BOWL LINER EVERY TIME THE TOILET IS USED. If you do not use bowl liners, it will cause
unpleasant odours and wear out the product. Cinderella Original Bowl Liners are made of a special paper coated
withpolyethylenelm.Thislinerisrequiredtocatchandcontainthewaste,andthenconveyitintotheincine-
ration chamber without spilling on the surface of the bowl. If you use bowl liners correctly and consistently, you
will also simplify the cleaning process, making it easier to have a hygienic and clean bowl at all times.
CINDERELLA ORIGINAL BOWL LINERS are specially designed for Cinderella incineration toilets, and we re-
commend that you always use these bowl liners with your Cinderella GAS incineration toilet. Using other bowl
linersforincinerationtoiletswillnotvoidthewarranty,buttheymaytpoorlyandcouldcausespillingandbad
odours.
5.4 BOWL LINERS
REMEMBER TO USE A BOWL LINER EVERY TIME THE TOILET IS USED.
Using the toilet without a bowl liner may cause system failure and damage the toilet.

5.6 APPLIANCE RATING PLATE
The appliance rating plate can be found on the back plate of the incineration toilet. From this plate you can read
themodelidentication,serialnumber,toiletratingsandsupportdetail.Youwillneedthesedetailswhenever
you contact the customer service centre or when ordering spare parts.

Should the situation require an unusualy high number of guests to use the toilet for a short period of
time, please follow these tips:
• Empty the ash container completely before guests arrive.
• Preheat the toilet before use by opening and closing the lid then pressing the Start button.
• Ensure guests are instructed to use a bowl liner and press Start after every visit.
• Check regularly to ensure the toilet lid is closed and the yellow incineration light is still lit.
• You may need to run an extra incineration cycle or two before emptying the ash container to ensure that
the waste has been fully incinerated.
5.8 TIPS FOR SHORT PERIODS OF HEAVY USE

1. Holddownthe“Selectlanguage”buttonfor3secondsuntil“Language”isdisplayedonthersttextline.
2. The current language will be displayed on the second line.
3. Push the ”Select language” button repeatedly until the desired language is displayed.
4. The new language will be saved a few seconds after you press the button, and the toilet will resume ope-
ration.
Your Cinderella GAS will indicate when it is time to empty the ash container. The display will read ‘‘EMPTY THE
ASH CONTAINER” and you will hear 3 short beeps when the toilet lid is opened. If not emptied within a short pe-
riod of time, the toilet will lock down. At this point the yellow and red lights are constantly lit and the display will
read ‘‘TOILET LOCKED CONTAINER FULL”. You will hear 3 short beeps every 10 seconds until the ash container is
emptied.

6.4 SYSTEM PROCESS ILLUSTRATION
TheinsertionofasimplepaperlinerintothebowlbeforeeachuseiswhatdiersCinderellaincine-rationtoilet
from an ordinary toilet. This liner keeps the waterless bowl clean and odour-free. After each use, at the touch of
a button, all waste is dropped from the toilet bowl into the incineration chamber, where it is safely incinerated at
a high temperature.
During this incineration process, the air supplied into the room provides the oxygen required for proper
combustion. The inlet air vent must therefore always be left open. The exhaust vent removes excess heat. All
fumes and vapours are processed through a heat-activated platinum catalyst to reduce emissions and odours.
The incineration process automatically starts after each use, but is paused when the toilet is in use. Numerous
safeguards exist to ensure safe operation. Please see section 2.4

In order to ensure optimal operation and extend the lifetime of your Cinderella GAS you will need to set aside a
little time for preventive maintenance. Good maintenance routines will result in lower operating costs and cause
less wear on the product. There are some simple tasks that you should perform regularly and some that you
should perform annually or after 500 incinerations (1 pack of bowl liners).
Remove the ash container only when it is cool and toilet is not in operation
1. Makesurethattheincinerationprocesshasnishedandthetoilethascooleddown.Thefanmusthave
stopped.
2. Remove the front cover and rotate the ash container until the handle is pointing straight towards you. The
ashingredandyellowlightsindicatethattheashcontainerisoutofposition.Thedisplaywillread“Ash
container out of position”.
3. Remove the insert (the innermost bowl) and dispose of the ash. Pour hot water into the insert and leave it
for about 30 minutes, before cleaning with a brush (do not use any sharp tools).
4. Put the insert back into the ash container and place the container back into the toilet by rotating the handle
totheleft,untilitstops.Theredandyellowlightswillturno.Thedisplayreads“Readyforuse”whenthe
container is in the correct position.
5. Place the front cover back on toilet.
6. Open the lid. Press and hold the Start button to open the toilet in the washing position. Without placing a
bowl liner or toilet paper in the toilet, pour 1/4 gallon (1 litre) of water into the toilet. You may also use water
to clean the bowl. Close the toilet lid then press the Start button to start the incineration process. The water
inside the insert will start to boil and the steam will clean the catalyst.
7. MAINTENANCE
7.1 REGULAR MAINTENANCE
7.1.1 EMPTYING THE ASH CONTAINER
Recommended frequency: Weekly
• The power should be disconnected when performing all servicing and maintenance of the toilet.
• Cleaningfrequencymightneedtobeincreasediftoiletisindailyuse.Somemedicationmightaectfunctio-
nality and regular burning of sanitary products containing plastic might necessitate more frequent cleaning &
maintenance.

• Do not use any sharp tools or objects when cleaning the ash container insert, as this will damage the insert
and reduce its service life.
• The remaining ash is sterile and safe to handle when it has burned to a light colour. If the ash is black and
akyortheincinerationcyclewasincomplete,runanextraincinerationcycletoensurethattheashhasbeen
fully incinerated. If the problem persists, see the troubleshooting section for further advice.
• Theashisnotsuitabletouseasfertilizerorcompost.Itshouldbedisposedofinyourhouseholdwastein
accordance with relevant public regulations.
1. Ensure that the toilet is cold and the ash container has been emptied and cleaned.
2. Lift the toilet lid.
3. Press and hold the Start button for three seconds to open the hatch to the washing position.
4. Pour approximately 1/4 gallon (1 litre) of clean water into the toilet.
(Note: It may be convenient to clean the bowl at this point. See steps below.)
5. Close the toilet lid and press Start to begin an incineration cycle. The water will start to boil and the steam
will clean the exhaust system.
7.1.2 STEAM-CLEANING THE EXHUAST VENT
Recommended frequency: After every one hundred uses or when emptying the ash container
1. Open the toilet lid.
2. Press and hold the Start button for three seconds to open the hatch to the washing position.
3. Use moist paper, water and a mild cleaning agent as required.
4. Close the toilet lid and press Start to begin the incineration cycle.
7.1.3 CLEANING THE BOWL
Recommended frequency: As required for cleanliness and when emptying the ash container.
Do not use chlorine-based cleaning agents to clean the bowl. Chlorine is extremely harmful for the catalyst,
and if put into the toilet it may cause the catalyst to malfunction.

7.2 ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the exhaust and catalyst
1. Release and remove the ash container.
2. Inthecentreofthefanhousingatthebackofthetoilet,youwillndthecatalystexhaust.
3. Cleantheexhaustpipewithaexiblebrush.Useavacuumcleanerafterwardstoextracttheremaining
debris.(Theashcontainermustberemovedtoensurefreeairow).
4. Reinstallthetoilet,makesuretheoutletpipeisproperlyxedtothetoilet.
5. Place the ash container back into the toilet by rotating the handle to the left until it stops. The red and yellow
lightswillturno.Thedisplayreads“Readyforuse”whenthecontainerisinthecorrectposition.
6. Reconnect the front cover to the toilet.
7. Open the lid. Press and hold the Start button to open the toilet in the washing position. Without placing a
bowl liner or toilet paper in the toilet, pour 1/4 gallon (1 litre) of water into the toilet. You may also use water
to clean the bowl. Close the toilet lid then press the Start button to start the incineration process. The water
inside the insert will start to boil and the steam will clean the catalyst.
7.2.1 CLEANING THE EXHAUST PIPE AND CATALYST
Recommended frequency: Every 500 uses.
A smooth-running air circulation system is critical to keep your toilet functioning properly. Particles generated
during the incineration process can clog the catalyst and exhaust pipe over time, and it is important to regularly
maintain these elements to ensure proper functionality.
Annualmaintenancewillrequirethetoilettobedisconnectedfromtheuepipe.Insomeareas,onlyprofessio-
nalgas-qualiedpersonnelmaybepermittedtodothis.Itisthereforeimportanttoensurethatallmaintenance
is performed in accordance with all state, municipal and local codes.

7.2.2 CLEANING THE VENTILATION PIPE
Recommended frequency: Annually or every 1000 uses
Cleaning the ventilation system
1. Unplug the toilet.
2. Pull the toilet away from the ventilation pipes and place it to one side.
3. Usingahand-heldbrushwithrmbristles,carefullycleananydirt,dustorotherobjectsobstructingthe
airowfromthehorizontalinletandoutletpipes.
4. Remove the chimney cap and the T-bend bottom cap from the vertical ventilation pipe.
5. Using a chimney sweeping brush, clean any built-up material from the interior of the vertical ventilation
pipe.
RINSING THE DRAIN HOLE (T-PIECE)
The T-piece should be dismantled annually and debris (e.g.
leaves,insects)removedtoensuresatisfactoryairow.
Recyclable packaging materials should be returned through the
normal local collection system.
Ifyouwishtonallydisposeoftheproduct,askyourlocalrecyclingcentreorspecialistdealerfordetailsabout
how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.

Failuretoincinerateproperlyandaashingyellowdisplaylampmayindicatethatthepropane
tankisempty,andhastobere-lled/replaced.Naturalgasmustnotbeused.
During cleaning and troubleshooting, resetting the electronics may
sometimes be helpful. You can do this by pressing the Start but-

DURING A POWER OUTAGE
If waste is burning when there is a power outage, you may get smoke and odours on the outside. The toilet
exterior may become slightly warm due to the fact that the fan is operating without mains power. The in-
cineration will not automatically start when the mains power returns. You will have to manually restart the
toilet and start a new incineration cycle. If the power outage is expected to last for a longer period of time, it
is important that you empty any waste that is in the toilet, as this could damage the toilet if it remains there
for a long time. NEVER USE THE TOILET DURING A POWER OUTAGE.
ODOURS IN THE ROOM
Can have several causes:
Failuretouseabowllinereachtimethetoiletisusedorimproperuseoftheliner.Theairowmaybebloc-
ked. Inspect the outlet pipe and chimney cap. Check that the installation has been performed in accordance
with the installation manual. Too much restriction in the outlet air could cause back pressure and cause
odours inside.
The exhaust pipe may be clogged. See page 12, Basic Cleaning of the Catalyst.
The catalyst may be clogged. See page 12 Advanced Cleaning of the Catalyst.
ODOURS OUTSIDE
The causes may be the same as for inside the room plus:
The catalyst has been activated by the heat. When the toilet is cold it can take a few minutes before the cata-
lyst starts to work. The catalyst may be faulty. Contact your servicing provider.
