Basic Call Features
Placing Calls:
To make an
internal (extension to extension)
call, you have 3 options:
1. Lift your handset dial the FOUR digit extension of the person you are calling
2. Press the
Speaker
button, then dial the 4 digit extension number
3. Press the New Call soft key, then dial the 4 digit extension number
To make an
outbound/external
call, you have 3 options:
1. Lift your handset, dial the number you wish to call.
2. Press the
Speaker
button, then dial the number you wish to call.
3. Press the New Call soft key, then dial the number you wish to call.
To make an
outbound/external
while on a call (speaker or handset):
Note: There is no hard hold button on the phone. It is a soft key function
1. hile on a call, press the Hold soft key. The associated line blinks.
2. Press the New Call soft key, dial the number you wish to call.
3. To end the call, press the End Call soft key.
4. To return to the original call, press the Resume soft key.

nswering Calls:
When answering calls, you have 4 options
:
1. hen your phone rings simply lift your handset.
2.
Press the
Line Button
beside/associated with the number that has the incoming call
3.
Press the Answer soft key
4.
Press the
Speaker
button
nswering a Second Call:
1. The easiest way to answer a second call is to press the Answer soft key. The first call is
automatically placed on hold & you are connected to the second call. NOTE: If you do not use
nswer & select another line without pressing Hold, the first call is disconnected.
2. To reconnect with the first call, press the
Scroll Key
to highlight the original call, then press
the Resume soft key. To switch between calls after the first time, hit the
Scroll Key
then
Resume.
Ending a Call:
When ending a call, you have 3 options:
1. If you are on the handset, hang up the handset
2. If you are on speaker, press the
Speaker
button
3. Press the End Call soft key
Place a Call on Hold:
Note: There is no hard hold button on the phone. It is a soft key function
1. hile on a call, press the Hold soft key. The associated line blinks.
2. To return to the call, press the Resume soft key
Last Number Redial:
You have 2 options:
1.
Lift the handset & press the Redial soft key
2. Simply press the Redial soft key to activate the speakerphone & place the call

Changing Between Handset & Speakerphone during a call:
• Handset to speakerphone:
Press the
Speaker
button, then hang up the handset
• Speakerphone to Handset
Lift the handset
Mute a call: (while on speaker or handset)
• Press the
Mute
button. The caller cannot hear you, and you can hear the caller.
• To turn mute off, press
Mute
button again
Call Transfer:
When transferring a call, you have 2 options:
Option 1: nnounced Transfer
1. During a call, press the More soft key
2. Then press the Trnsfr soft key. This places the call on hold, while you hear dial tone.
3. Dial the number you want to transfer the call to
4. hen the person answers, announce the call, then press the Trnsfr soft key.
Option 2: Blind Transfer
1. During a call, press the More soft key
2. Press the BlndXfr soft key. This places the call on hold, while you hear dial tone.
3. Dial the number you want to transfer the call to. This will complete the transfer an disconnect the call
Transfer a Caller Directly to Voice Mail
1. Place the caller on hold by pressing the Hold key.
2. Press the NewCall button, dial *55, then press
#
.
3. Dial the 4-digit number of the target voice mailbox, then press
#
. Simply press
#
if transferring to
your own voice mailbox.
4. The caller is placed in the voice mailbox of the target recipient.

Conference Calls:
Creating a Conference Call:
1. During a call, press the ConFrn soft key. This places the call on hold, while you hear dial tone
2. Dial the number of the person you want to conference (internal 4 digit extension or 10 digit number)
3. hen the call connects, press the Join soft key. This joins the person to the conference call.
Conference Call Options:
• To place the conference call on hold, press the Hold soft key. The other parties can talk among
themselves, but you cannot hear them. Note: They will hear your music or message on hold if
your company has this feature.
• To place a conference call on speaker, press the
Speaker
button.
• Press the Mute button to turn off the microphone. The conference parties cannot hear you, but
you can hear them. This works with the speaker or the handset.
Call Pick Up –
Allows you to answer another person’s call (in your pre-established pick up group) from your
phone.
• To answer a person’s phone, either lift the handset or press the NewCall
soft key, then

Call Park:
Places a call on hold that can be picked up on another phone in the office.
• Press the Hold soft key to place the call on hold
• Press the NewCall soft key, then dial

68 (the Call Park feature access code)
• You will be prompted to dial the number where you want to park the call
1. You may park the call on someone else’s phone by entering their extension, then pressing
the
#
key
2. You may park the call on your phone by pressing the
#
key
• The call will disappear from your phone at this time.
Retrieving a Parked Call on a phone other than your own:
• Press the NewCall soft key, dial *88, dial the extension the call is parked on, then the
#
key.
Retrieving a call you have parked on your phone:
• Press the NewCall soft key, dial *88, then the
#
key. You are now reconnected to the call you
parked.

Phone Controls
Changing the volume:
• Press the Plus + or Minus - volume key on the phone to increase or decrease the volume
of your handset, headset, ring volume or speakerphone.
Changing the ring type/sound:
1. Press the Settings button
2. Press the number 2 Ring Type which will take you directly to the list of ring types
3. Use the Scroll button to select a ring type
4. Press the Play soft key to hear a sample of the selected ring type
5. hen you find a ring style that you like, press the Select soft key, then press the OK soft key to save
your selection
6. Press the Back soft key to exit the Settings menu
Changing the contrast of the display:
1. Press the Settings button.
2. Press the Select soft key to select the Contrast option on the Settings menu.
3. Press the up or down soft key or use the Scroll Button to change the contrast of the display
4. Press the OK soft key to save your setting.
5. Press the Back soft key to exit the Settings menu
Using your phone’s call log:
To view or dial back missed calls:
1. Press the Directory button
2. Press the Select soft key to select the Missed Calls option
3. Use the Scroll button to scroll to the number you want to view or call back
a. To call the number back, press the NewCall soft key

To view or dial back received calls:
1. Press the Directory button
2. Press the up or down soft key, or use the Scroll Button to get to Received Calls, then press
the Select soft key
3. Press the up or down soft key, or use the Scroll Button to select the number you want to view
or call back
a. To call the number back press the NewCall soft key
To view or re-dial placed calls:
1. Press the Directory button
2. Press the up or down soft key, or use the Scroll Button to get to Placed Calls, then press the
Select soft key
3. Press the up or down soft key, or use the Scroll Button to select the number you want to view
or call back
a. To call the number back press the NewCall soft key
To turn off auto-complete numbers:
1. Press the Settings button
2. Use the Scroll Button to get to Call Preferences, then press the Select soft key
3. Use the Scroll Button to get to Auto-Complete Numbers YES
4. Press the No soft key, then press the Save soft key
5. Press the Settings button to return to the main phone screen
