1. Safety
• Do not dismantle or modify theproduct. Unprotectedhazardous voltage is present
on components inside thecase of theproduct. Contactwith these components
may result in fire or electric shock.
• The product is only intended to be used indoors.
• Never expose theproduct to high temperatures, adusty environment, severe
vibrations, impacts, humidity or moisture.
• Do not place theproduct where it may fall into water or some other liquid. Donot
place objects containing liquid, such as aflower vase or adrink, on theproduct.
• Make sure that theconnected cables are protected so that they do not get
trapped in doors and so that people cannot tread on them.
• To cut off thepower to theunit, unplug it from thewall socket.
• Make sure that theventilation openings of theproduct are kept clear so that air
can circulate to keep theproduct cool.
• Plug thenetwork adaptor directly into awall socket. Neveruse an extension lead,
aUPS or surge protection.
• If thenetwork adaptor has been exposed to liquid or moisture, if theconnected
cables have been damaged or if theproduct is not working properly, unplug it from
thewall socket.

3. Connection
• Connect theproduct directly to awall socket.
• Never use an extension lead, aUPS or surge protection.
• Do not plug in thenetwork adaptor close to mobile phone chargers, low-energy
light bulbs, halogen lights, vacuum cleaners, etc.
• If you do not follow this advice thesignal quality may be poor and theperformance
of your network may be reduced.
4. LED indications
POWER*
Lit red The network adaptor is connected and working.
Blinking Standby mode (in standby mode, “LINK” and “ETHERNET” are not lit).
Not lit No power at thewall socket.
LINK
Lit green There is anetwork connection but no traffic.
Blinking Green: The connection quality is good.
Orange: The connection quality is fair.
Red: The connection quality is poor.
Not lit There is no network connection.
ETHERNET
Lit green There is anetwork connection.
Blinking There is data traffic on thenetwork connection.
Not lit No network connection found.
* The “POWER” LED blinks in standby mode. Thenetwork adaptor switches to
standby mode if you plug it into awall socket and no active network connection is
found within 60 seconds of startup. Ifyou unplug thenetwork cable, thenetwork
adaptor switches to standby mode after 60 seconds. Instandby mode, the“LINK”
and “ETHERNET” LEDs are not lit.

5. Installation
5.1 Connection
1. Connectone of thesupplied network cables between one network adaptor and
thenetwork card of thePC.
2. Plugthenetwork adaptor into awall socket.
3. Connectanetwork cable between theother network adaptor and thedigital box (fig. A),
themodem/router/switch (fig. B) or thenew card of thesecond computer (fig. C).
4. Plugthesecond network adaptor into awall socket.
5. ObservetheLED indications to check if it is working.

5.2 Encryption
NOTE: The buttons are deactivated in standby mode.
A. Using[ SETUP ]
1. Holddown [ SETUP ] for 10–20 seconds. Youcan release thebutton when
all theLEDs go out and theunit restarts. Theoriginal encryption setting of
thenetwork adaptor is cleared.
2. Repeatstep 1 to clear theoriginal encryption setting of theother device.
3. Press[ SETUP ] at thesame time on both devices for 1 to 3 seconds.
The“POWER” LED starts to blink on both devices. Thetwo devices start to
communicate and create their own encryption for their own network.
Thenew encryption settings are complete after about 10 seconds.
The LEDs go out on both devices and they restart.
NOTE: If thesettings are not complete after about 2 minutes, thenetwork
adaptors return to standby mode.
4. Ifthedevices fail to establish contact with each other, repeat steps 1 to 3.
B. Addinganew device to an existing private network
1. Plugthenew device into awall socket. Holddown [ SETUP ] for 10 to 20 seconds
to clear theexisting encryption of thenetwork adaptor.
2. Press[ SETUP ] for 1 to 3 seconds. The“POWER” LED starts to blink.
3. Chooseany device from theexisting network. Press[ SETUP ] on that device for
1 to 3 seconds. The“POWER” LED starts to blink.
4. Thenew device starts to communicate with thechosen device on thenetwork and
attempts to connect to thenetwork. Thenew encryption settings are complete
after about 10 seconds. TheLEDs on thenew device go out and it restarts when
thesettings are complete. The“POWER” LED on thealready connected device
shows asteady light.
5. Ifthenew device fails to establish contact with thenetwork, repeat steps 1 to 4.
C. Leavingaprivate network
Holddown [ SETUP ] for 10 to 20 seconds to clear theexisting encryption of
thedevice. Thenetwork adaptor has now left theprivate network.
5.3 Resetting
To reset thedevice to factory default settings:
Hold down [RESET] on thenetwork adaptor for 1 to 3 seconds. TheLEDs on
thenetwork adaptor go out and it restarts with thefactory default settings.

6. Troubleshooting
Must thenetwork adaptors be connected to thesame phase?
• No. Theneutral wire is used for network communication.
• The network adaptors can be connected to all cables that go to thesame
distribution board.
7. Careand maintenance
Unplug theproduct from thewall socket before cleaning it. Wipetheproduct with
adamp cloth. Neveruse strong cleaning agents or solvents.
8. Disposal
Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product.
Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

1. Säkerhet

3. Anslutning

5. Installation
5.1 Inkoppling/anslutning
1. Anslut enav de bifogade nätverkskablarna mellan den ena nätverksadaptern
ochdatorns nätverkskort.
2. Anslut nätverksadaptern till etteluttag.
3. Anslut ennätverkskabel mellan den andra nätverksadaptern och digitalbox (bild A),
modem/router/switch (bild B) eller den andra datorns nätverkskort (bild C).
4. Anslut den andra nätverksadaptern till etteluttag.
5. Kontrollera funktionen med lysdiodernas visning.
