Statement of Agency Compliance
The Code Reader™ 3600 (CR3600/CR3600 DPM) has been tested for compliance with FCC regulaons and was found to be
compliant with all applicable FCC Rules and Regulaons.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, this device must not be co-located or operate
in conjuncon with any other antenna or transmier.
CAUTION: Changes or modicaons not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
The CR3600 has been tested for compliance to CE standards and guidelines and was found to conform to applicable CE
standards, specically the EMC requirements EN 55024, ESD EN 61000-4-2, Radiated RF Immunity EN 61000-4-3, ENV 50204,
EFT EN 61000-4-4, Conducted RF Immunity EN 61000-4-6, EN 55022, Class B Radiated Emissions, and Class B Conducted
Emissions.
The CR3600 has been tested and cered in compliance with the Technical Regulaons Conformity Cercaon of Specied
Radio Equipment (ordinance of MPT N°.37. 1981), Arcle 2, Paragraph 1, Item 19.
Code voids product warranty if the hard case has been opened or tampered with in any way.
The CR3600 meets all safety and quality standards in accordance to EN 60950-1:2006/A11:2009/A1:2010.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15
of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protecon against harmful interference in a residenal
installaon. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instrucons, may cause harmful interference to radio communicaons. However, there is no guarantee
that interference will not occur in a parcular installaon.

1.0 - Unpacking
Remove the CR3600 from its packing and inspect it for damage. If the reader was damaged during shipping, please contact Code.

Based on the kit purchased, a combinaon of the following components will be included with the CR3600 reader:

2.0 - Charging Staon Assembly Instrucons
1. Plug the barrel side of the USB charge cable or power supply (depending on which you ordered) into the charger. (Figure 1)
2. (Oponal) Aach the weighted base. Place the ‘This Side Down’ (Figure 2) side of the weighted base onto the surface, and place the
Charging Staon on top of it and secure with the screws provided. (Figure 3)

3. Rubber feet can be placed on the corners of the weighted base (Figure 4) or directly onto the Charging Staon (Figure 5) to
prevent slipping from a surface.
4. (Oponal) Mounng the Charging Staon to a Surface. Place the ‘This Side Down’ (Figure 2) side of the weighted base onto the
surface, and secure with screws. Note: Because surface types dier, screws are not included to mount a Charging Staon to a
surface.

3.0 - Baery Installaon and Removal
Place the baery into the reader as shown below. (Figure 6) Once in place, the baery will snap and lock to indicate proper
installaon. For baery removal, slide the latch (Figure 7), to unlock and release the baery.

4.0 - Charging the CR3600
1. Plug the USB cable into the computer’s USB port (Figure 8) or the power adapter into the wall outlet. (Figure 9)
2. Remove the plasc ‘Remove Before Use’ cap and place the reader into the Charging Staon. (Figure 10)
Note: Baeries ships with approximately 50%
baery life and should be completely charged before
inial use. Approximate me to charge a depleted
baery is 4 hours via USB cable, and 2 1/2 hours via
AC power supply.

5.0 - Fuel Gauge Baery Status Indicators
Check the Baery Life
Press the fuel gauge buon (Figure 11) to determine remaining baery life. If the baery has less then 10% capacity, the rst LED will
ash rapidly. For 25% or greater capacity, the LEDs will ash ON for 4 seconds.

6.0 - Powering On/O the Reader
Press and hold either buon located on the right or le of the arrow keys, or the trigger on handled conguraons (Figures 12 and 13),
for one second, to power on reader. The CR3600 will beep, vibrate and the LEDs will ash to indicate it is on and ready for use.

7.0 - Targeng the CR3600
Make sure the CR3600 screen is at the Ready prompt, hold the CR3600 4-8 inches away from the barcode and press one of the
power/scan buons or the trigger (Figure 14). The CR3600 will display data from the scanned barcode on its screen. (Figure 4)
The CR3600 will beep, vibrate and the good read indicator (Figure 19) will ash green
to indicate a ‘good read’ has occurred.

9.0 - How to View Stored Data
1. Select ‘Opons’ from the ‘Ready’ screen by pressing the so key below the word ‘Opons.’ (Figures 15 and 16)
2. Select ‘View storage.’ (Figure 17)
3. First stored data item is displayed. (Figure 18)
4. Use the right and le arrow keys to cycle through the stored data items. (Figure 19)
Shortcut: From the Ready screen, simply press the right and le arrow buons to cycle through the stored data items.

10.0 - How to Delete Stored Data
1. Begin at the ‘Ready’ prompt. (Figure 20)

4. Use the le and right arrow keys to display the item you want to delete. Select ‘Opons.’ (Figure 22)

11.0 - How to Transfer Stored Data to Host Device
1. Make sure a Bluetooth connecon has been established between the CR3600 and host device.
2. The CR3600 screen should be at the ‘Ready’ prompt. Press the CLEAR buon to return to the ‘Ready’ prompt if necessary. (Figure 24)
3. Select ‘Opons.’ (Figure 24)
4. Select ‘Send all’ to transfer all stored data to the host computer. (Figure 25)
5. The CR3600 will display a message that all data was sent. (Figure 26)
