EN THANK YOU FOR USING THE COLLEGE PARK CAPITAL KNEE!
Your prosthetist will instruct you on the proper use of the knee. If you do not understand the
knee or have any questions about using it, please ask your prosthetist.
CARE FOR YOUR COLLEGE PARK CAPITAL KNEE
If there is no cosmetic cover applied, you may clean the College Park Capital Knee by wiping it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Never apply harsh chemicals.
USE IN WATER
The Capital Knee has been approved for use in fresh water.
▪The knee should be switched into lock mode when using it in or near water.
▪Use caution when walking on wet surfaces.
▪After the knee encounters moisture, wipe it dry using a lint-free cloth.
CAUTIONS
▪Avoid pinching hazards! Do not place fingers near the flexing area of the knee.
▪Always report any concerns to your prosthetist immediately, including but not limited to: noise, sudden loss of function,
sticking, etc.
▪Never attempt to adjust the College Park Capital Knee yourself. Only a trained professional should make adjustments to
the College Park Capital Knee.
▪Do not disassemble the knee. Your prosthetist can contact College Park to arrange a repair or replacement.
▪Do not expose this product to corrosive materials, salt water, or pH extremes.
▪Contaminants such as dirt and the use of lubricants or powder may aect the function of the knee and lead to failure.
▪Do not use compressed air to clean the knee as it can push dirt inside of the knee.
▪Failure to follow these technical instructions or use of this product outside the scope of its Limited Warranty may result
in injury or damage to the product.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Operating Temperature: -1 - 38° C (30 - 100° F)
USING THE COLLEGE PARK CAPITAL KNEE
The College Park Capital Knee has three functional modes. To change the mode, press down on the mode switch lock, then
rotate the switch to the left, center, or right position. When lined up, the lock will click into place.
LOCK MODE
When the switch is moved to the left,
the knee provides high resistance to
flexion. It will continue to extend until
full extension is reached.
NORMAL WALKING
MODE
At the center position, the knee functions
according to the hydraulic settings of
swing flexion, swing extension, and stance
flexion resistance.
FREE SWING MODE
When the switch is moved to the right,
stance flexion is bypassed. This allows free
movement in both flexion and extension.
Caution: To prevent sudden collapse, users should use caution when applying weight to the knee during free
swing mode..
