The lights onyourtelephonelet youknow thestatusof lines, features,
andintercom.
Light Indications
Location Indication
Next to a Direct Station Steadyred = stationis in use.
Select(DSS)/BusyLamp Flashing red = stationis receivinga
Field (BLF) button Cdl.
Next to a line button Steadyred = anotherstationis using
this line.
Flashing red = acall is coming in on
this line.
Faster flashing red = the call hasbeen
placedonholdby anotherstation.
Next to a fixed feature or Steadyred = thefeatureis on.
programmed feature button Steadyoff = thefeatureis off.
Next to an intercom button Steadyred with a quick flash = you
areusingyour intercom.
Fast flashing red = autoredialis in use.
Steadyflashing red = anLCD message
is seton yourtelephone.
Above the HOLD button Flashing = messageawaitspick up.
Fast flashing red = call onhold.

Using Your Speakerphone
using YqurSpeakerphone
A speakerphonegivesyouthefreedomto useyourtelephonewithout
lifting thehandset.After initial contactis made,you cancarryon a
telephoneconversationandstill befreeto dootherthings.Whenever
theinstructions“Lift thehandsetto talk” appearin this guide,theymay
beignoredif youhaveaspeakerphone.
During thecourseof aconversationyou canalwaysswitch from the
speakerphonetothehandsetfor privacy.To dothis,just lift thehandset
andtalk. To returnto speakerphoneuse,presstheSPKR buttonand
hangupthehandset.
To manuallyplaceacall using yourspeakerphone,
l pressaline buttonor anintercombutton,
l dial thenumber,
l talk towardyourspeakerphonewhencalledpartyanswers.
To autodialusingyour speakerphone,
l pressprogrammedspeeddial button,
l talk towardthetelephonewhenyourparty answers.
To answeracall with yourspeakerphone,
l presstheline buttonor intercombutton(theonewith theflashing
light),
l talk towardyour speakerphone.
NOTE: Your telephone may be equipped with a feature called ringing line
preference. With this feature, you merely press SPKU to answer a ringing
line instead of pressing a line button first.
To block transmissionof yourvoice to thedistantparty (mute)while on
acall,
l pressMUTE button,
To returnto thedistantparty,
l pressMUTE button.
To endacall with your speakerphone,
l pressSPKR.
