Intended use
The universal lighter with LED serves for lighting cigarettes, cigars, candles, etc., for providing a
mobile source of lighting and for opening bottles with crown corks.
It may be filled only with the commercially available lighter gas.
The product is approved exclusively for battery operation. Any other power supply may not be
used. The matching type of battery is listed under "Technical Data".
Any use other than the one mentioned above is not permitted and will lead to a damage of the
product. A use other than the intended one is also associated with risks like short-circuit, fire, etc.
Please always pay attention to the safety instructions!
Safety instructions
The warranty claim becomes null and void in case of damages caused by a
non-adherence to these instructions for use. We are not liable for any
consequential damages.
We are also not liable for any damages to person or property caused by an
improper handling or non-adherence to the safety instructions. All warranty
claims shall become null and void in such cases.
•The device, the batteries and the container of lighter gas should not be allowed to fall in the
hands of children. Please keep then out of the reach of children.
•Lighters contain butane gas. For this reason, keep them away from sources of heat and direct
sunlight (> 50°C).
•Do not remove or open the filling valve, in order to let the gas flow out.
•Gas tanks of lighters may not be opened, damaged or kept in fire or open flames! Risk of
explosion!
•Do not put any mechanical load on the lighters. Otherwise, the gas tank can start leaking (risk
of fire or explosion!).
•Do not try to repair the lighter. Should a lighter become defective or damaged, dispose it off
properly.
•Lighters may not be used, filled or stored in areas, where explosive, easily inflammable
materials, combustible gases, vapours or combustible liquids (solvents, alcohols, petrol, etc.)
are present or can be present. There is a risk of fire or explosion!
•Never look directly in the LED-beam and never point the beam to persons or animals. The
LED-rays can cause damage to the eyes.
•Never point the LED-beam on mirrors or other reflecting surfaces. The beam, deflected in an
uncontrolled way, can fall upon and harm persons or animals.

Filling
Fill the lighter only with the commercially available lighter gas (butane gas).
Fill the gas tank only in properly ventilated areas and thereby avoid any open
flames (risk of explosion!).
Please pay attention to the safety instructions and instructions for use of the
lighter-gas manufacturer.
The lighter may be filled only in a cooled state.
Stop the process immediately if gas starts coming out while filling. A
combustible mixture of gas-air can arise in this case. Please see to it that the
room has been adequately ventilated, before you ignite the universal lighter or
any other ignition sources.
•Rotate the lighter such that the filling valve points upwards.
•Attach the lighter-gas bottle (by means of a suitable adapter, if needed) on the filling valve.
Push the gas bottle now vertically downward.
•The gas now flows only in the gas tank of the lighter. The filling process takes approx. 3
seconds.
Usage
Push the ignition button forward with a quick and sudden movement till it
comes to a stop. This avoids the build up of a large quantity of combustible
mixture through a longer discharge of gas without ignition, which then gets
ignited abruptly by the sparks and causes a momentary flash.
Keep the lighter away from the body and clothes while lighting and while
using.
Always keep the lighter in such a position that the flame points away from
you.
Always light the flame for only a few seconds, as otherwise the casing of the
lighter can heat up strongly (risk of burning!).
Make sure that the flame is completely extinguished after use.
•Push the large ignition button forward with a sudden movement, till the piezo igniter is triggered
and the flame ignites (repeat, if the flame does not ignite immediately).
•To extinguish, simply release the ignition button.
•Press the small button on the hand-grip to switch on the LED-light.
•To switch-off, simply release the button.
Adjusting the flame height
•Fold out the adjustment clip at the filling valve.
•Rotate the adjustment clip in the clockwise direction to reduce the flame height or in the anti-
clockwise direction to increase it.

Changing the batteries for LED-light
Batteries should not fall in the hands of children.
Please pay attention to the correct polarity while inserting the batteries.
Remove the batteries if not used for a long time.
Leaked or damaged batteries can cause burns when they come in contact
with the skin; for this reason, use suitable gloves in such cases.
Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open. There is a risk of children
or pets swallowing them. Consult the doctor immediately, in case a battery
has been swallowed.
Please pay attention that the batteries are not short-circuited or thrown in fire.
Besides, they should also not be charged.
There is a risk of explosion.
•Fold out the adjustment clip at the filling valve.
•Note or mark the position of the adjustment clip. The clip must be set later in the same
position, as otherwise the end positions no longer match and a correct regulation of the flame
height is no longer possible.
•Remove the clip.
•Unscrew the small cross-head screw below the clip and remove the lower part of the casing
from the universal lighter.
•Remove the transparent adhesive film on the batteries.
•Pull out the battery contact of the red connection cable and remove the button cells. Note the
position of the batteries and of the connecting contacts.
•Insert four new button cells (for type see “Technical Data”).
•Pay attention to the correct polarity (positive pole towards the bottle opener, negative pole
towards the filling valve).
•Take care to position the contacts of the connection cables again correctly.
•Safeguard the batteries again with a new adhesive film.
•Insert the lower part of the casing again. Thereby, make sure that the LED-button lies correctly
in its opening in the casing and the LED is positioned correctly in its plastic socket.
•Screw in the small cross-head screw again for fixing the casing.
•Attach the adjustment clip again at the filling valve in the position marked earlier.
Maintenance
The universal lighter with LED is maintenance-free except for changing the batteries and filling the
lighter gas.
On the outside it should be cleaned only with a soft, dry piece of cloth.
Do not use in any case aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, which can damage the
surface of the casing.
Disposal
Dispose off the product at the end of its lifecycle in accordance with the legally
applicable guidelines.
Before the disposal the batteries must be removed and the gas tank must be emptied
(do not let the gas simply flow out, but instead burn it in a controlled way).

Disposal of used batteries.
As the end user you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) for returning all the used batteries; it
is prohibited to dispose them off via the household waste!
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbols shown
alongside, which indicate a prohibition of disposal via the household waste. The
notations for the decisive heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can return your used batteries for free at the collection points of our branch offices
in your community or at all places, where batteries are sold.
By doing so, you comply with the legal requirements and make your contribution towards
environmental protection.
