Introduction
This unit will convert NTSC 3.58 or PAL (B, D, G, I) to NTSC 3.58 or PAL (B, D, G, I).
It includes two sets of S-Video inputs/outputs.
Precaution
1. Do not expose this product to direct sunlight.
2. Keep the unit away from radiator, heat sources and magnetic field.
3. Do not place it in very dusty or humid locations.
4. Use this unit in a horizontal position only.
5. Do not put heavy objects on top of the converter.
6. Put the unit in an open space that has good ventilation.
7. If the unit is acting abnormally keep the unit away from TV or other electronic
equipment.
8. Unplug the unit from the power supply when it is not to be used for a long period
of time.
Feature
•It contains two sets of S-VHS inputs and outputs.
•Contains input auto detection.
•Digital conversion from input TV signals of NTSC, PAL to output signals of
NTSC or PAL.
•Digital line (525-625 lines) and field (60-50 fields) conversion.
•8M-bit field memory.
•Digital comb filter for NTSC and PAL decoding.
•Built in time base correction (T.B.C.) function for signal synchronization.
•Built-in automatic gain control (A.G.C) function ensures 1 Vp-p output signal
(input level can range from 0.5 Vp-p to 2 Vp-p).
•Full digital decoding and encoding; highly integrated digital processing reduces
the board size and ensures reliable quality.
•A colour-bar pattern will automatically appear on the TV screen when there is no
video signal present on the input.

Operation control and function
Front Panel
A. Input ource indicator:
1. Video (Yellow LED)- Illuminates when input source is Composite Video.
2. S 1 (Yellow LED)- Illuminates when input source is S-Video 1.
3. S 2 (Yellow LED)- Illuminates when input source is S-Video 2.
B. Input indicator:
4. NTSC (Red LED)- This indicator will light when input signal is NTSC.
5. PAL (Green LED)- This indicator will light when input signal is PAL.
C. Output indicator:
6. NTSC (Red LED)- This indicator will light when output signal is NTSC.
7. PAL (Green LED)- This indicator will light when output signal is PAL.
Rear Panel
1. Input elect witch- Three input options are available- Video, S-Video 1 and S-
Video 2.
2. Video input- This is one of the input ports. Connect it to your input device using
a composite video RCA connector cable.
3. S-Video input 1- This is an input port. Connect it to your input device using a S-
Video 4-pin mini DIN connector cable.

4. S-Video input 2- This is an input port. Connect it to your input device using a
-Video 4-pin mini DIN connector cable.
5. Input y tem elect witch- Set to auto for input auto-detection mode. It is
recommended that the machine operates in this mode. Set to NTSC when you
know that the input signal is NTSC. Set to PAL when you know that the input
signal is PAL.
6. Output y tem elect witch- Set the switch to the type of signal you wish to
output.
7. Colour bar elect witch- If you set the switch to ON, the unit will automatically
send out colour bar picture when there’s no video input. If you set the switch to
off, the colour bar picture won’t appear.
8. Video output- This is one of the three output ports. Connect this to your output
device using a composite video RCA connector cable.
9. S-Video output 1- This is an output port. Connect this to your output device
using a S-Video 4-pin mini DIN connector cable.
10. S-Video output 2- This is an output port. Connect this to your output device
using a S-Video 4-pin mini DIN connector cable.
11. AC 110/220 V Select witch- Select the voltage to fit your country’s AC power.
12. Power ON/OFF- This switch allows you to turn on or off your unit.
13. AC IN ocket- This is the AC adaptor port. It is to be used with the power pack
supplied.
Connection and In tallation
The AC adaptor power unit should not be plugged into a wall outlet until all connections
are complete.
- Using your connector cable connect the output port (Number 8/9/10 on the rear panel)
to the output device (Video, TV). Output being Video, S-Video 1 or S-Video 2.
- Using your connector cable connect the input port (Number 2,3,4 on the rear panel) to
the input device (video, satellite receiver, camcorder). Input being Video, S-Video 1
or S-Video 2.
- Set you input system select switch to the type of input signal desired (Number 5 on
the rear panel).
- Set your output system select switch to the type of signal you wish to output (Number
6 on the rear panel).
Once all connections are complete please connect the power supply provided to the
power socket.
