1. INTENDED USE
S-Blender 1 is used for homogenization of the samples in the bags and produces a liquid suspension for further analysis.
2. OVERALL VIEW
3. CONTROL PANEL DESCRIPTION
1 Fast, Normal and Slow indicator lights - for speed indication
2 SPEED key - for speed setting (Fast, Normal and Slow)
3 Time display
4 TIME key - for time setting (in 10 s steps, Min 30 s, Max 210 s, Hold)
5 PROGRAM SELECT key (0 - 9)
6 PROGRAM SET key - for entering/exiting the program setting mode
7 Program setting mode indicator light
8 Program number display
9 RUN indicator light
4. SETTINGS
Plug the power cord to mains socket of the device and to a grounded wall socket. Push the handle backward to open the
door. Turn on the main switch on the back side of the device.
Manual settings:
- Set the speed by pressing the SPEED key. You can set Fast, Normal and Slow speed.
- Set the time by pressing the TIME key. You can set the time between 30 and 210 seconds in 10 seconds steps. When
"HLd" is displayed, Hold function is activated and the time is set to continuous operation.
Program settings:
- You can select a program (0 - 9) by pressing PROGRAM SELECT key. The preset speed and time are displayed,
when you select individual programs.
- You can set the preset speed and time for individual programs. Select the program you wish to change by pressing
PROGRAM SELECT key, and then press PROGRAM SET key to enter the program setting mode - key indicator light
turns on. Set the speed by pressing the SPEED key, and time by pressing the TIME key. Press PROGRAM SET key to
confirm the values and exit the program setting mode - key indicator light turns off.
NOTE: Short pressing of the keys are used to increase the values. Long pressing of the keys (over 1 second) are used to
decrease the values.
5. OPERATION
(1)
Push the handle backward
to open the door.
Make sure that waste
drawer of the chamber is
empty.
Set the speed and time
manually or select a
program.
(2)
Insert the bag with the
sample and diluents into
the chamber.
It is recommended to slide
the bag along the door to
remove the air out of the
bag and avoid the leaks
when closing the door.

(3) Pull the handle forward to
close the door.
Blending operation starts
automatically.
Wait until set time elapses
and device stops. Message
"End" appears on display.
If you set the time to "HLd",
you have to open the door
to stop the blending
operation.

Push the handle backward
to open the door.
Take the bag with the
sample out of the chamber.
NOTE: You can open the door during the blending operation, to check the sample. The time on display stops at current
value, and displays are blinking for 10 seconds. During this time, you can check the sample, and if it is not ready, you
can close the door again to continue the blending operation. The time on display starts running again.
If the sample is ready when you open the door during the blending operation, you can wait for 10 seconds and the
displays stop blinking, or you can press any key to cancel the blinking. This means that the run is ended.
NOTE: You can change speed setting during the operation, but you can't change time and program settings.
6. CLEANING
Before starting a cleaning procedure, turn the main switch off and unplug the power cable!

Push the handle backward
to open the door.
Reach inside the chamber
with your hands and pull
both paddles off the shafts.
Put the paddles in the
waste drawer of the
chamber.
(2)
Lift the door up to unhook it
from the holders on the
bottom side.
(3)
Turn the bottom side of the
door away from the device.
Unhook the top side of the
door by gently pulling it
away from the top holders.
(4) Pull the chamber away
from the device.
Clean the chamber, the
paddles and the door with
soft cloth and warm water.
For cleaning of the rest of
device use soft damp cloth.
NOTE: To assemble the device, follow the reverse procedure.
7. TROUBLESHOOTING
Following is the table of errors, which could appear on the display of the device, and their descriptions.
ERROR DESCRIPTION
Err 1 Driver error (driver temperature too high).
Err 2 Motor current too big.
Err 3 Motor is not turning for more than 2 seconds.
Err 4 Motor tries to start 5 times, but it can't because of jamming (too hard or too big sample).
NOTE: Some very hard samples, such as shell-fish, may damage the bags and cause leaks. Make sure to use quality
bags and prepare the appropriate samples.
