Stage 16: The port
mainwheel
1 Place the tyre (P048) into a container of hot water to soften it. Then, take it out of the water and
carefully insert the drum (D034) into it.

2 Insert the wheel
axle and rod
(D035) into the
hole in the disc
(P050).
3 Fit the sleeve
(P051) onto
the axle
(D035) and
disk (P050).
Fix it in place
with an IM
screw.
4 Insert the sleeve at the
end of the assembly into
the drum.
5 Fit the cap
(P049) into the
drum (D034),
as shown. This
stage is now
complete.

2 Fix the upper link (P055) to the lower (P054)
with an EP screw. 3 Insert the shock absorber spring (X001) into the port main landing gear support (P053).
4 Insert the rod into the support onto the spring. 5 Secure the upper link (P055) to the support
(P053) with a DP screw.
6 Fix the mounting bracket(D036)
to the support (P053) with an
EP screw.

7 Place the end of the port mainwheel hydraulics
shaft into the bracket (D036) and secure it with
a JM screw.
8 Insert the end of the support into the port
landing gear wall, as shown.
9 Place the end of the support into the socket
(P052). Then secure the socket to the wall
with a DM screw.
10 Secure the port mainwheel hydraulic pivot
(D033) to the end of the wall with a CM screw.
11 This stage is now
complete. Check
that the landing
gear can move
away from and
towards the wall,
as shown.

Stage 18: Starboard
mainwheel hydraulics
1 Insert the pins of the
starboard mainwheel
hydraulics mount (P056)
into the holes in the
starboard mainwheel
hydraulics cylinder (P037).
Press both parts together.

2 Insert the starboard mainwheel hydraulics pivot (D039) into the end of the cylinder, as shown, and secure with an
HM screw.
3 Carefully insert the
starboard mainwheel
hydraulics shaft (D038) into
the cylinder (P057). Test
that the shaft can move in
and out of the cylinder.
4 This stage is now
complete. Keep
any unused or
leftover parts to
one side.

2 Fix the upper link (P065) to the lower (P064) with
an EP screw. 3 Insert the shock absorber spring (X002) into the starboard main landing gear support (P063).
4 Insert the rod into the support onto the spring. 5 Secure the upper link (P065) to the support (P063)
with a DP screw.
6 Fix the mounting
bracket(D042) to the
support (P063) with an
EP screw.

7 Place the end of the starboard mainwheel
hydraulics shaft into the bracket (D042) and
secure it with a JM screw.
8 Insert the end of the support into the starboard
landing gear wall, as shown.
9 Place the end of the support into the socket (P062).
Then secure the socket to the wall with a DM screw.
10 Secure the starboard mainwheel hydraulic pivot
(D039) to the end of the wall with a CM screw.
11 This stage is now complete. Check that
the landing gear can move away from and
towards the wall, as shown.
