3 INTRODUCTION
CAUTION: Before any intervention, it is necessary to check with the person in charge that
the installation is stopped and drained (empty and unpressurised pipes, pumps stopped,
tanks isolated or empty).
4 DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY OF EBC BUTTERFLY VALVE
SUB-ASSEMBLY
For disassembly, reassembly, and maintenance of DPX EBC sub-assemblies, refer to the
maintenance manual:
NM-222 for DPX EBC.
5 DISASSEMBLING THE MANUAL SYSTEM
5.1 SEPARATING THE MANUAL SYSTEM:
Remove the handle assembly [1] and [4] from the hub [2a] or [2b] and recover the spring
[3].

6.2 INSTALLATION OF THE DETECTION ON THE EBC MANUAL VALVE
Apply a drop of medium thread locker to the start of the thread of the 4 CHC screws of the
hub attachment (valve lubrication instruction sheet NDT-020). Pay attention to the expiry date
of the product.
Position the hub / handle assembly on the butterfly valve (flap open), and screw in the 4
CHC screws loosely.

Alignment of the hub/handle assembly:
1 - Take the centring device 7900053.
3 - Tighten the 4 CHC screws.
2 - Position and screw in the centring device
(this allows alignment of the hub).
4 - Remove the centring device

Installation of the connecting piece:
1 - Apply a drop of medium thread locker to the start of the flap thread and the linkage part.
2 - Tighten the linkage part with the sleeve 7900052 (tighten and lock the screw to 8 N.m).
Assembling the flagpole:
1 - Position the flag-holder cam on the groove of the connecting piece.
2 - Slightly tighten the screw without blocking it.
3 - Orient (OPEN) the flag holder in line with the handle.
4 - Tighten the screw to a torque of 120 cNm.

Verification:
-Check the size of the flagpole: 26.65 MAXIMUM
-MVQ dimension: 26.70 mm (Do not mount the MVQ if the overall dimension is = or greater
than 26.70 mm). Take the measurement as close as possible to both sides of the flag.
Positioning of the MVQ of IFM 7008450:
1 - Apply a drop of medium thread locker on
the start of the thread of the 4 M5 x 12 TH
screws (7006981).
2 - Position the MVQ with the M12 connector
opposite the handle.
3 - Screw in the 4 M5 x 12 TH screws (7006981) crosswise with a torque of 150 cNm.

When the valve is opened, the OPEN position appears.
When the valve is closed, the indicator remains BLACK.

Setting the Communication threshold
1 (SSC1) open valve:
Setting the Communication threshold
1 (SSC1) closed valve:
-Open the valve.
-Connect the detector to the mains with
the 24VDC power supply, the detector's
"PWR" light lights up yellow.
-Place a metal piece on top of the
detector until the LED ring flashes
yellow.
-After 3 seconds, remove the metal part,
the LED ring is lit in a steady yellow, the
communication threshold is set.
-Close the valve.
-Place a metal piece on top of the
detector until the LED ring flashes blue.
-Let the valve closed indicator blink for 3
seconds, remove the metal part, the
LED ring is lit in steady blue, the
communication threshold is set.
Exchange of switching thresholds SSC1 and SSC2
-Place a metal piece on top of the detector until the LED ring flashes yellow/blue.
-Remove the metal part, the LED ring lights up yellow or blue, the switching threshold has been
exchanged.

Locking the device
-Place a metal coin on top of the sensor (approx. 20s) until the LED ring flashes once briefly
and then lights up again.
-The device is locked, parameterisation is no longer possible.
Unlocking the device
-Place a metal coin on top of the sensor (approx. 20s) until the LED ring flashes once briefly
and then lights up again.
N.B.: We are also at your disposal for the maintenance of your valves in our workshops
or on site.
