ELECTRICALCONNECTIONS
Beforepluggingtheapplianceintothemainssocket,check
that:
Theoutlet'spowersupplycorrespondstothevalue
indicatedontheratinglabelonthebackoftheappliance;
Theoutletandelectricalcircuitareadequateforthe
appliance;
Theoutletisa3-holegroundedoutlet_,:i_.Ifthisisnot
thecase,youmustchooseanotheroutlet.
EaBuretofollowtheseimportantsafetyinstructions

The power cable must be replaced by aquaBfied
professional only.
The instructionsbelow will enableyou to prepareyour air
conditionerfor operationas efficiently as possible.Before
use, make sure the air intake and outlet grilles are
unobstructed.

Placethewindowbracket15 in thewindow,extendingit
tofit thewidth ofthewindow(fig.C).
Placethe air conditionernearthe window. Insert the
assembledexhausthose12 intothewindowbrackethole
15.
Makesuretheairexhausthoseisunobstructed.
Ifyouhaveavery largewindow, in orderto cover your
window aperture, usethe additional window bracket
without holesextending it to the desireddimension,
then fix the bracketby usingthe lockingpin provided.
Whenextractingthewindowbracketandjoiningthetwo
piecespayattentionyoudonotcoverthe hole.

that the applianceis in stand-by.Pressthe ON/STAND-BY
buttonCA).Whenturnedon,theairconditionerstartsoperating
inthesamemodeaswhenit wasturnedoff. PresstheMODE
button (B) until the light correspondingtothe desiredmode
lightsup:
Light(0): air-conditioningmode
Light(P):dehumidifyingmode
Light(N): fan/heating mode(thelightchangescolourfrom
yellowtored)
AIRCONDITIONINGMODE
Ideal for hot muggyweather when you need to cool and
dehumidifytheroom.
Thedisplayshowsthe innertemperature:the light (S) turns
on.
Tomodifythe settemperature,pushthe (E)or (F)button to
reachthedesiredtemperature.The(T)light turnsonandthe
(S)light turnsoff.(Tochangefrom°Fto °Cor viceversa,press
forfewsecondsbothbuttonEandF).
After 15 seconds,the innertemperatureisshown on the
display.
The(S) lightturnson.
Youcanadjustthetemperatureonlyinairconditioningmode.
Thenselectthefanspeedby pressingthe FANbutton(C)until
thelightcorrespondingtotherequiredfanspeedlightsup:
MAX: theairconditioneroperatesatmaximumtoachieve
thetargettemperatureasrapidlyaspossible
MED: reduces noise levels while maintaining a
comfortabletemperature
MIN" forsilentoperation
Themostsuitabletemperaturefortheroomduringthesummer
variesfrom75°t:to87°t:(24to27°0.Youarerecommended,
however,nottosetatemperaturemuchbelowtheoutdoor
temperature.
DEHUMIDIFYINGMODE
Idealfor reducingthehumidityin aroomwithout loweringor
raisingthetemperature(springorautumn,damprooms,rainy
spells,etc). Whenthe dehumidifyingmodeisselected, the
light(P)comeson.Atthesametime,the'MIN"fan speedlight
(M) comeson.Inthismode,otherspeedscannotbeselected.
Operation
FANMODE
Adjustfanspeedby pressingthe FANbutton(C)asdescribed
fortheair-conditioningmode.
Rememberthatthehigherthespeed,the moreairisfiltered.
If youselect"MIN" speed,lessairisfilteredbuttheappliance
isalsolessnoisy.
HEMINGMODE
Thisisidealinspringandautumnwhenoutdoortemperatures
arenotparticularlysevere.
Whenusingtheapplianceinthismode,theairhosemustbe
beattached.
Tosetthismodecorrectly:
PresstheMODEbuttonanumberoftimesuntilthe redlight
(N)appears.Selectthetargettemperaturebypressingthe+
or-buttonuntilthecorrespondingvalueisdisplayed.
PROGRAMMINGTHETIMER
Thetimercanbeusedtodelayappliancestartuporshutdown.
Thisavoidswastingelectricitybyoptimisingoperatingperiods.

If the remotecontrol unit isreplacedordiscarded,the
batteriesmustberemovedanddisposedof inaccordance
with current legislationas they are harmful to the
environment.Donotmix old andnew batteries.Donot
mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc)or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium)batteries.Donotdisposeof batteries
in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. If the remote

Tips/Cleanin
Before cleaning or maintenance, turn the appliance
off bypressingthe ON/Off buttonCA)or in models with
remote control unit, by pressingthe ONlOff button
19, then always unplugthe appliance from the mains
socket.

Thefilter ishousedintheintakegrille.
Tocleanthefilters,removethefilter asshowninfigureL.
Usea vacuumcleanerto removethe dust collectedon the
filter.
Ifit isverydirty,immerseinwarmwaterandrinseanumberof
times.Thewatershouldneverbehotterthan40°C.
Afterwashing,leavethefilter to dry. Putthe filter backin its
housing.

Laborand all other parts during the additional four (4) year warranty areto be paid by the owner. All
AIRCONDITIONERSin needof repairareto beshippedto anauthorized De'Longhiservice center atthe
owner's expense, and De'Longhi will then incur the return shipping costs. After the first five (5) years
of ownership, all expenses (all parts, laborand shipping) areto be paid bythe owner of the unit. This
warranty shallapply only if the AiR CONDITIONERis usedinaccordancewith the factory directions that
accompany it, and on anAlternating Current (AC) circuit. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties
and representations, expressedor implied, and all other obligations or liabilities on our part. We do not
authorize any other personor company to assume for us any liability in connection with the saleor use
of our AiR CONDITIONER.This warranty shall not apply to any AIRCONDITIONERthat has beenrepai-
redor altered outside our factory nor shall it apply to any AIR CONDITIONERthat has beensubjected
to misuse, negligenceor accidents.
