First time use:
1. Place the music system and loudspeakers on an even and steady surface and
connect the speakers to the system (pay attention to +/- and left/right speaker)
2. Extend the antenna fully for best reception.
3. Connect the DC plug of the power supply to the system and the power outlet; then turn it on.
Operation:
Press on the music system or remote control to turn on the unit. Push the MODE button to
cycle through the modes (in order: DAB, FM, AUX input, Bluetooth, CD and USB).
DAB radio:
Switch the mode to DAB, the system will automatically do a full scan. After all channels are
scanned, the first found station will be played. At the same time date and time are also set. The
channels are stored in alphabetic order.
To tune into a different DAB station, press . The system will stop at the next station and
will start playing it automatically.
For a new scan, press the MENU button and select FULL SCAN. Then press the SELECT knob to
confirm.
FM radio:
Switch the mode to FM, then press and hold the SCAN button for approx. 3 seconds to start
automatic tuning. After all stations are found, the first found station will be played.
Favorite stations may be stored in memory presets. To do this, select the FM station you want to
save, press and hold the PRESET button for 1 second. The display will show “save to preset” and
the preset numbers 1 - 30. Turn the SELECT knob to select the desired number and save the
station by pressing the SELECT knob.
To recall a preset station, press the PRESET button and then use the SELECT knob to choose the
desired station; then confirm by pressing the SELECT knob again.
System settings:
In the system menu you can set the sleep timer, manually set time and date, set the menu
language, etc. Press and hold the MENU button and select “system settings” with the
buttons and confirm by pressing the SELECT knob.
The following menu options are available: Sleep, Time/date, Backlight, Language, Factory reset,
and Software version.
CD & USB modes:
Use the MODE button to select the required mode. In CD mode you can play CDs with standard
functions.
In USB mode you can play MP3 files (please notice, that the USB stick has to be formatted in
FAT32).
Bluetooth mode:
Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode, and use your smartphone or PC to search for
the Bluetooth device.
The music system’s name is: MDA-260.
After pairing you can stream music directly to the music system from your smartphone or PC via
the Bluetooth function.
Clock & alarm:
The music system is equipped with clock & dual alarm functions, to be used as a clock radio.
Please follow the steps below.
Alarm 1:
1. Press and hold the ALARM button until the alarm menu is shown on the display.
2. Press the SELECT knob to enter the Alarm 1 menu. Set the time by turning the SELECT
knob. Repeatedly press the SELECT knob to cycle through the options (the setting options
are Alarm, Frequency, Wake up time, Source, Snooze, Duration and Volume).
Alarm 2:
The settings are similar, but to begin with press and hold the ALARM button until the alarm menu is
shown, then turn the SELECT knob until Alarm 2 is displayed. Then press the SELECT knob to
enter the menu.
