Gratulation zum Kauf Ihrer neuen DETOMASO-Uhr.
Sie sind jetzt Eigentümer eines Zeitgebers, der sich durch höchste Präzisi-
on und innovativem Design auszeichnet.
Für jede Uhr gilt, dass wir alle wichtigen Ersatzteile für viele Jahre bereit-
halten und damit garantieren, dass jede Uhr über einen langen Zeitraum
repariert werden kann.
Damit wir gewährleisten können, dass Ihre neue Uhr viele Jahre problem-
los funktioniert, lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die folgende Bedienungsanleitung.

Wasserdichtigkeit
Die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer DETOMASO–Uhr ist mit 10 ATM getestet.
Das heißt, Ihre Uhr besteht unbeschadet Händewaschen, Baden, Regen-
spritzer, Schwimmen und Duschen. Sie ist nicht geeignet zum Tauchen.
Wasserdichtigkeit ist keine bleibende Eigenschaft; sie sollte jährlich und
insbesondere vor besonderen Belastungen überprüft werden, da die einge-
bauten Dichtungselemente in ihrer Funktion und im täglichen Gebrauch
nachlassen. Um die Wasserdichtigkeit einer Uhr zu gewährleisten werden
Dichtungen verwendet. Diese unterliegen einem natürlichen Alterungspro-
zess. Sie werden u. a. von Schweiß und Säuren angegriffen.
DIN 8310 regelt Kriterien, die neue Uhren aushalten müssen.
Die Widerstandsfähigkeit wird in Atmosphäre angegeben und auf dem
Gehäuseboden vermerkt. Ihre DETOMASO–Uhr hat eine Wasserdichtigkeit
von 10 ATM. Die Druckangabe „10 ATM“ darf nicht verwechselt werden
mit der Tauchtiefe, sondern ist die Definition des Prüfdrucks.
Ein Prüfdruck von „10 ATM“ wird in 100 m Wassertiefe erreicht. Beim
Schwimmen oder beim Sprung ins Wasser kann kurzfristig ein größerer
Druck auf die Dichtelemente entstehen als der garantierte Prüfdruck.
Besonders gefährdet sind die Uhren, wenn man nach längerem Sonnen-
baden ins Wasser springt, weil sich dann der Aufschlagdruck mit dem
Unterdruck durch die Abkühlung addiert, was leichter zu Schäden führen
kann.
Beim Batteriewechsel ist es wichtig die Dichtungen zu überprüfen und ggf.
zu erneuern.

Pflegehinweise
Ihre Uhr ist ein Meisterwerk der Elektronik und Feinmechanik von hoher
Präzision. Sie soll Ihnen lange die richtige Zeit anzeigen. Schützen Sie Ihre
Uhr vor Stößen, Magnetfeldern, starker Hitze, Wasser und Chemikalien,
sowie vor mechanischem Abrieb. Zum Schlafen sollten Uhren grundsätz-
lich abgelegt werden.
Bleibt eine batteriebetriebene Uhr stehen oder wird das Nachlassen der
Batteriespannung angezeigt, sollte sie unverzüglich zum Fachgeschäft
gebracht werden, damit die leere Batterie weder in der Uhr noch in der
Umwelt Schaden anrichtet.
Der Batteriewechsel sollte regelmäßig und im Abstand von 1 – 1 ½
Jahren im Fachgeschäft durchgeführt werden. Lassen Sie auch gegebe-
nenfalls den Zustand der Dichtungen überprüfen und diese, wenn nötig,
erneuern.
Bei Kondenswasserbildung (Nebel unter dem Glas) muss die Uhr unver-
züglich ins Fachgeschäft gebracht werden, damit die Feuchtigkeit keinen
Schaden anrichtet.
Die Krone sollte beim Tragen immer eingedrückt sein.

Bedienungsanleitung Chronograph
Einstellung des Datums
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, in die 1te Position.
2. Drehen Sie die Krone gegen die Uhrzeigerrichtung bis das Datum
eingestellt ist.
3. Drücken Sie die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück.
Achtung: Datum nicht zwischen 21.00 Uhr und 1.00 Uhr einstellen.
Einstellung der Uhrzeit
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone heraus, in die 2te Position.
2. Stellen Sie die Uhrzeit durch Drehen der Krone ein.
3. Drücken Sie die Krone in die Normal-Position zurück, wenn die Uhrzeit
eingestellt ist.
Verwendung des Chronographen
1. Drücken Sie Knopf B um die Uhr auf den Chronographenmodus umzu-
schalten. Der Sekundenzeiger stoppt an der Nullposition und wechselt
auf den 1/120-Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen.
2. Mit jedem Drücken des Knopfes A wird der Chronograph gestartet
oder gestoppt. Der 1/120-Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen stoppt
nach 30 Sekunden nach dem Starten an der Nullposition. Wenn Sie
den Knopf A für das Stoppen des Chronographen drücken, eilt der
1/120-Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen vor, um die gemessene
Zeit anzuzeigen.

3. Drücken Sie den Knopf B, um den Chronographen zurückzustellen, so
dass alle Zeiger des Chronographen zusammen an die Nullposition
zurückkehren.
Rückstellen (Eichen) des Chronographen
(Einschließlich nach dem Austausch der Batterie)
Sie sollten diesen Vorgang ausführen, wenn der Sekundenzeiger des Chro-
nographen und der 1/120-Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen nicht an
die Nullposition zurückkehren, nachdem der Chronograph zurückgestellt
bzw. die Batterie ausgetauscht wurde.
1. Ziehen Sie die Krone in die zweite Position heraus.
2. Drücken Sie den Knopf A, um den Sekundenzeiger des Chronographen
auf die Nullposition zu stellen.
3. Drücken Sie den Knopf B, um den 1/120-Sekundenzeiger des Chro-
nographen auf die Nullposition zu stellen. Sie können die Zeiger des
Chronographen schnell vorstellen, in dem Sie Knopf A oder Knopf B
gedrückt halten.
4. Sobald Sie die Zeiger auf Null zurückgestellt haben, drücken Sie die
Krone in die Normalposition zurück.
5. Drücken Sie Knopf B um zu überprüfen, dass die Zeiger des Chrono-
graphen auf die Nullposition zurückgestellt wurden.
Drücken Sie die Krone niemals in die Normalposition zurück, während die
Zeiger des Chronographen auf die Nullposition zurückkehren!

Wir garantieren, dass Ihre Uhr aus qualitativ hochwertigen Materialien
gefertigt wurde. Aufwändige Qualitätskontrollen garantieren, dass die Uhr
vor Verlassen der Fabrikation geprüft wurde. Trotzdem können Material-
fehler leider nicht immer ausgeschlossen werden. Sollte Ihre neue Uhr
nicht fehlerfrei sein, wenden Sie sich bitte innerhalb der Garantiefrist an
unseren Kundendienst. Auf Ihre Uhr gewähren wir 24 Monate Garantie
ab Kaufdatum auf alle Material- und Herstellungsfehler. Diese Hersteller-
garantie wird unbeschadet der gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsansprüche
gewährt. Die Garantie bezieht sich auf die Funktion des Uhrwerks und der
einwandfreien Verarbeitung der Uhr.
Nicht durch die Garantie abgedeckt sind Batterien, Verschleiß am
Gehäuse, Glas oder Uhrband sowie Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße
Benutzung entstehen (Unfall, Glasbruch, Wasserschaden, herausgerisse-
ne Krone).
Innerhalb der Garantie werden Fabrikationsmängel kostenlos von uns
behoben. Sollte die Uhr nicht zu reparieren sein, wird die Uhr durch ein
vergleichbares Modell ersetzt.
Eine Haftung für Neben- und Folgeschäden ist ausgeschlossen.
Im Garantiefall senden Sie Ihre Uhr zusammen mit Ihrem Namen und
Ihrer Adresse sowie einer Kopie des Kaufbeleges an den Händler, bei
dem Sie die Uhr erworben haben. Oder an die auf der Rückseite dieser
Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Anschrift.

Foreword
Congratulations on the purchase of your new DETOMASO watch. You are
now the new owner of a high precision time keeper characterised by its
innovative design.
We keep a long term stock of the most important spare parts for all our
watches, guaranteeing repair over a period of many years.
In order to ensure that your new watch functions properly for many years,
please read the following instructions carefully.

Waterproof properties
The water resistance of your DETOMASO watch has been tested to be
10 ATM.
This means that it is splashproof and that you may wash your hands or
take a bath or a shower with it. You may also swim with it but it is not
suitable for diving. Waterproofness is not a permanent characteristic; it
should be tested annually and in particular before the watch is put under
exceptional strain, as the seals deteriorate gradually in daily use. The
seals are the important factor in guaranteeing the waterproofness of
a watch. These age naturally and are also affected by perspiration and
acids. ISO 2281 stipulates which standards have to be met by a new
watch. The level of waterproofness is given in ATM and noted on the base
of the casing.
Your DETOMASO watch has been tested and has a water resistance of
10 ATM. The specification 10 ATM is not to be confused with the diving
depth; it is simply the definition of the inspection pressure. An inspection
pressure of 10 ATM is reached at a depth of 100 m. You cannot go
diving with this watch. In some cases a short-term higher pressure than
the guaranteed inspection pressure may be enforced on the seals, for
example when swimming or diving into water.
Watches are at particular risk when the wearer dives into water after
sunbathing. The combination of the impact pressure with the negative
pressure caused by the sudden drop in temperature can quite easily
cause damage. It is important to check and, if necessary, replace seals
when the battery is replaced.

Caring Instructions
Your watch is a high precision electronic and mechanical masterpiece and
should serve you well for a long time.
Please keep your watch away from magnetic fields, heat, water and
chemicals. Do not submit it to sudden impact or abrasion. Watches
should not be worn in bed.
If a battery operated watch stops or the low battery indicator shows, it
should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the battery
from causing damage in the watch or to the environment.
Batteries should be replaced by a specialist at regular intervals of approx.
1 – 1 ½ years. The seals can then be checked and, if necessary, replaced
at the same time.
In the event of condensation forming underneath the glass (misting), the
watch should be taken to a specialist as soon as possible to prevent the
moisture from causing further damage.
The crown should always be firmly pressed in or screwed tight during use.

Operating instructions for the chronograph
Setting the date
Caution: Do not set the date between 9 pm and 1 am.
1. Pull out the crown into the 1st position.
2. Turn the crown-counter clockwise to set the date.
3. After the date has been set, push the crown back to the normal positi-
on.
Setting the time
1. Pull out the crown into the 2nd position.
2. Turn the crown to set the time.
3. Push back the crown to the normal position.
Using the chronograph
1. Press button B to change the watch to the chronagraph-mode. The se-
cond hand stops at the zero position, and changes to the chronograph
1/120 second hand.
2. The chronograph can be started and stopped each time button A is
pressed. The chronograph 1/120 second hand stops at the zero posi-
tion 30 seconds after starting. When button A is pressed to stop the
chronograph, the chronograph 1/120 second hand advances rapidly
to display the measured time.

3. Pressing button B resets the chronograph and all chronograph hands
will return to zero position.
Chronograph calibration
(incl. after replacing the battery)
This procedure should be performed when the chronograph hands do not
return to zero position after the chronograph has been reset, and proper-
ly after the battery has been replaced.
1. Pull the crown out to the 2nd position.
2. Press button A to set the chronograph second hand to zero position.
3. Press button B to set the chronograph 1/120 second hand to zero
position. The chronograph hand can, be advanced rapidly by continous-
ly pressing button A or B.
4. When the hands have been reset to zero position the crown should be
pushed back in normal position.
5. Press button B to check that the chronograph hands are reset to zero
position.
Do not push the crown to the normal position, while the chronograph
hands return to zero position. Each hands stop on the way when crown
are returned to normal position and these positions are recognized as
zero position.otherwise each handwill stop at its respective position and
recognize this as zero position.

24 month warranty
We guarantee that your watch is made of high quality materials. Extensive
quality controls guarantee that the watch is checked before being re-
leased by the manufacturer.
Nevertheless material faults cannot always be ruled oud. Should your new
watch show any faults, please consult our customer service department
within the valid warranty period.
We provide a 24 month warranty from date of purchase on all material
faults and production errors. This manufacturer’s warranty applies regard-
less of legal warranty regulations. The warranty covers the functioning of
the clockwork and the flawless workmanship of the watch.
Not covered are: batteries, wear and tear of the casing, glass or watch
strap as well as damage caused by improper use (accident, broken glass,
water damage, pulled-out crown).
We will repair manufacturing faults free of charge within the warranty
period. Should the watch be irreparable it will be replaced by a compara-
ble model.
To obtain warranty services please return the product to the place of
purchase, together with a copy of your sales receipt or other proof of
purchase that shows the date of purchase. Alternatively you may send the
watch to the service centre listed on the back of this booklet.
