1UNDERSTANDING SAFETYAND WARNING SIGNS
Many safety signs and symbols used in this manual are based on international standards, others refer to specific situations or
actions.
Consult section 11 for an overview of signs and symbols used in DHOLLANDIA manuals, and their meaning.
Please take special notice of the following signs used in the manual. They indicate the likelihood and severity of a potential injury
if a person fails to follow the instructions presented on the safety sign.
DANGER: indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury. [white letters on red background]

3GENERAL INTRODUCTION
This OPERATION MANUAL explains how the DHOLLANDIA mobile column lift is manufactured; what safety devices are
incorporated in its design; and how to use the mobile column lift in a correct manner, that preserves the integrity of the machine
over the intended lifetime and helps maximize the safety of the operator and any bystanders.
The MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MANUAL (separate) explains how to maintain and service the mobile column lift in the
appropriate manner, maximizing the safety of the operator and any bystanders, and ensuring the reliability of the mobile column
lift over the intended lifetime.
The CE IDENTIFICATION AND INSPECTION BOOK contains the serial number identification, the CE Declaration of Conformity,
the Fitting Declaration to be filled out by the installer of the mobile column lift, and an overview of the owner’s legal obligations in
terms of periodic testing and certification.
The manuals must be kept with the lift at all times, as a reference book for the operators and technical service
4INTENDED USE
DHOLLANDIA mobile column lifts are designed to lift vehicles and shall be used exclusively to lift vehicles within the limits of the load
chart, in compliance with the operation and safety instructions described in this manual. DO NOT use the mobile column lift for other
purposes.
WARNING
Improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and other parties at great risk of serious bodily injury and death.
Therefore the use of the mobile column lift is restricted to skilled operators only; who have been properly trained, and who know
and understand the full contents of this manual.
Unauthorized modifications to the mobile column lift can put the operator and other parties at great risk of serious bodily injury
and death. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to modify the mobile column lift and its safety devices in any way.
Use of aftermarket or non-OEM replacement parts to repair or maintain the mobile column lift is strictly prohibited and may
result in serious bodily injury or death to the operator or any bystanders.
WARNING
Improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and bystanders at great risk of serious bodily injury and death.
Therefore it is strictly forbidden to use the mobile column lift in a different way, or for different purposes, than described in the
operation manual.
The mobile column lift must NEVER be used as an elevated work platform, to move vehicles or other loads around, or to carry
people.
The mobile column lift must NEVER be used as a wheelchair lift.
These instructions do not take into account the different local regulations and laws that must be obeyed. Customers must take
into account these national regulations while operating the mobile column lift.

5IDENTIFICATION
Every DHOLLANDIA mobile column lift is identified by and labelled with a unique 8-digit serial number (with or without a
space between the first and last 4 digits). Use this number for any inquiry on a particular lift, or when ordering replacement
parts.
In addition to the lift type and serial number, the various serial number labels provide additional information such as: the
maximum rated lift capacity and load chart, the date of manufacture, etc...
A large label is usually affixed to the electric
control box.
Medium sized labels are affixed
to the lift frame, to the platform
and to the power pack.
6DESCRIPTION AND MOBILE COLUMN LIFT TERMINOLOGY
6.1 GENERAL
DHOLLANDIA lifts are developed and manufactured using state-of-the-art technology, high quality materials and components,
and highly skilled workmanship. They comply with the European CE safety regulations mentioned in the Declaration of Conformity
issued with each lift (unless agreed otherwise for mobile column lifts exported outside of CE region).
The DH-AB* are mobile column lifts, designed for lifting vans, trucks, trailers and semi-trailers up to a maximum weight
corresponding with the maximum rated capacity of the mobile column lift or its tire adaptors.
A mobile column lift consists of minimum one pair of 2 mobile lift columns, connected to each other as master and slave column.
A single pair can be used to lift just the front or rear side of a vehicle. E.g. lifting the rear side of the truck to install a tail lift.
Various pairs of lift columns can be connected together electrically and synchronised. E.g. lifting the front and rear side of a truck
to install a tail lift, do maintenance on the truck etc.
Every lift column is equipped with a pallet jack mechanism, enabling the operator to move the lift columns around. Before lifting a
vehicle, the lift columns must be lowered onto the ground by means of the pallet jack mechanism.

Lift column L+R: main assembly incorporating the lift cylinder, the lift shaft with the lift forks, the power pack, the electric
control box, the work light, etc. The main columns are mounted on wheels and equipped with a pallet jack mechanism.
The master column [1a] is equipped with the electric control box [6] and hydraulic power pack [7]. The slave column [1b]
only incorporates a lift cylinder and is fully dependent upon the master column.

Pallet jack mechanism L+R: enables to operator to move the lift columns around, to push them under the tires of the vehicle
or the pull them from underneath.
Before lifting a vehicle, the operator must lower the lift columns to the ground by means of the pallet jack mechanism to
guarantee sufficient stability. A fail safety will do this automatically if the operator forgets to do so.

Lift shaft and lift cylinder L+R: shaft mounted inside the lift column, moved up and down by a hydraulic lift cylinder. The lift
shaft incorporates the lift forks.

Lift forks L+R: the lift forks are the load carrying structure, carrying the vehicle. The standard lift forks are suitable for larger
diameter tires of trucks, trailers and semi-trailers.
Tire adaptors [4a] are foreseen on the lift columns, to adjust the space between the forks to smaller tire sizes of vans etc.

Safety lock L+R: lock preventing that the lift forks and the vehicle drift down in case of accidental loss of pressure in the
hydraulic circuit. The operator MUST ALWAYS engage the safety lock as soon as the vehicle is raised to the desired
elevation.

Electric control box: mounted in a fixed position at the back side of the master column. Contains the electrical switches
allowing the operator to execute all functions, a main power switch, an emergency stop, and 2 plugs.
The emergency stops on the master and slave columns enable the operator to immediately stop every electrically induced
movement in case of emergency.
The top plug allows to connect various mobile column lifts with each other. The bottom plug allows to connect the master and
slave columns.

Hydraulic power pack: contains the electric motor driving the hydraulic pump, the oil tank, and the control valves. The power
pack also incorporates the quick-fit hydraulic couplings to connect the master and slave columns; the main power cable and
main power plug.

Levelling valve: manually operated valve used to level the master and slave columns again if they are out of synchronization,
and vehicle would be lifted askew.

Work light L+R: light tube foreseeing additional lighting of the work area under the vehicle.

6.3 SAFETY DEVICES
DHOLLANDIA mobile column lifts are equipped with multiple safety devices in order to ensure that vehicles can be lifted with maximum
safety for the operator, any potential bystanders and the vehicle itself. The following safety devices are incorporated in the mobile
column lift:

Main power switch and indicator light : switch mounted on the electric control
box of the master column, enabling the operator to switch the main power to the
mobile column lift on / off. The indicator light indicates the status of the lift
accordingly.

Emergency stops: 2 switches mounted on the master and slave columns, enabling
the operator to immediately stop all electrically induced movements in case of
emergency.
After the emergency stop has been pushed, check:
whether anyone has been injured
whether damage has occurred to the mobile column lift or the vehicle.

Safety lock: 2 locks mounted on the master and slave columns, preventing that
the lift forks and the vehicle drift down in case of accidental loss of pressure in the
hydraulic circuit.
To avoid the risk of serious bodily injury or death of the operator or other bystanders
or property damage to the vehicle, the operator MUST ALWAYS engage the safety
lock as soon as the vehicle is raised to the desired elevation.

Electrical safety valves mounted on all cylinders: the safety valves lock the oil
inside the hydraulic cylinders as long as they are not energized via the electrical
controls. The purpose is to secure the lift forks in any given position, in case of
accidental failure of a hydraulic pipe (as soon as the electrical controls are
released).
DHOLLANDIA safety valves are equipped with a manual emergency control,
allowing the operator or repair agent to open the valve manually in case of electrical
failure (see MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MANUAL).

Levelling valve: the hydraulic system of the mobile column lift is designed to move
the master and slave columns in a synchronized way as a principle.
An accidental pressure loss in one of the lift cylinders or valves can bring the
master and slave columns out of synchronization, especially when a vehicle has
remained at height for a long time without engaging the safety locks.
The levelling valve enables the operator to bring the master and slave columns in
synchronization again. See section 9.8 on page 28.

Fail safety on the pallet jack mechanism:before lifting a vehicle, the operator
must lower the lift columns to the ground by means of the pallet jack mechanism,
to guarantee sufficient stability. A fail safety will do this automatically if the operator
forgets to do so.

Fuses: the electric system is protected several fuses against short-circuits and
amperage peaks.

Decals [standard]. The mobile column lifts are supplied with a number of operation
decals, load diagrams and safety decals. These decals must be kept clean and
legible at all times, and replaced whenever required.

7SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT
7.1 DO NOT USE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT WITHOUT ADEQUATE SAFETY AND OPERATOR TRAINING
DHOLLANDIA mobile column lifts shall be exclusively used to lift vehicles, within the limits of the applicable load chart, in
compliance with the operation and safety instructions in this manual.
The operator should follow all other policies and procedures applicable to the job situation including health & safety regulations,
as well as company procedures The operator should not use the mobile column lift if he/she cannot use it in accordance with all
applicable regulations and instructions.
If the safety instructions of this manual conflict or overlap with local legal regulations, ALWAYS apply the most strict instructions.
The operator shall be at least 18 years of age. Persons under 16 years of age are prohibited in the immediate vicinity of the lift.
7.2 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
THESE SAFETY MEASURES MUST BE FOLLOWED FOR SAFE OPERATION, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF
THE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT
To avoid serious bodily injury or death, the operator must use appropriate work clothes. NEVER wear loose-fitting clothes,
jewellery, rings or watches that may be trapped in the moving parts of the lift. ALWAYS wear professional safety-toe shoes,
protective gloves, eye protection and a hardhat.
Must
Slipping (and falling) can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by slipping:
ALWAYS wear professional safety-toe shoes with a good non-slip sole.
DO NOT use the mobile column lift if it or the surrounding area are covered with snow, mud, dirt, debris,
liquids or other substances.
DO NOT run near a mobile column lift. DO NOT climb on the lift forks or into the vehicle.
Tripping (and falling) can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by tripping:
DO NOT use mobile column lift platform as a step.
NEVER leave the mobile column lift unattended in partially deployed or lifted position.
DO NOT stand on or run near a mobile column lift.
Standing on a mobile column lift can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by falling:
NEVER stand on the lift forks. DO NOT climb on the lift forks or into the vehicle.
NEVER use the mobile column lift as an elevated work platform.
NEVER use the mobile column lift as a jack or support.
WARNING
Improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and other parties at great risk of serious bodily injury and death.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury to the operator and any bystanders, the use of the mobile column lift is restricted to
skilled operators, who have been properly trained, and who know and understand the full contents of this manual.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury or death, THE OPERATOR MUST COMPLY WITH ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
AND WARNING LABELS IN THIS SECTION AND THE ENTIRE MANUAL before and while operating the mobile column lift.

WARNING
The mobile column lift must not be used if the operator is intoxicated, impaired or distracted in any way. NEVER use a phone
or mobile device while operating the mobile column lift.
Limit the operation of the mobile column lift to one single operator. Operation of the mobile column lift by more than one
operator at a time may cause confusion and increase the risk of serious bodily injury or death.
The mobile column lift shall be used by means of its original control units only. Operating the mobile column lift with non-
original controls will increase risk of serious bodily injury or death to the operator or any bystanders.
Prior to switching the main power switch on, check if the mobile column lift can be used safely. Take precautions to ensure
your own safety and that of any casual bystanders.
Inspect the mobile column lift prior to each use. If any unsafe condition exists or unusual noises or movements are noticed,
DO NOT use the mobile column lift and contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent for repair. Please see daily pre-
operation inspection procedures under 7.4 on page 16.
Make sure the mobile column lift is used in a safe environment, complying with all applicable healthy and safety regulations.
Make sure the lift does not block essential emergency escape routes out of the workshop.
The mobile column lift is designed for indoor use only. It should not be used outside and exposed to rain and snow, dirt and
mud and other adverse environmental conditions.
Do not operate the mobile column lift on wet, dirty or muddy surfaces.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury or death, make sure the working zone is sufficiently lighted.
Prior to operating the mobile column lift, the lift columns and vehicle must be safely parked on level and solid ground, have
the parking brake applied, and the engine switched off. Secure all moving parts of the vehicle body.
The ground on which the mobile column lift is used should have no more than 2° inclination, to prevent the lift columns from
tilting over.
Check with the building contractor or architect if the floor is sufficiently strong and stable to carry the load of the complete set-
up. As asphalt is prone to damage and deformation under heavy point loads, even more so at higher temperatures. DO NOT
use mobile column lifts on asphalt surfaces.
Observe the vehicle carefully while it is being raised / lowered. If it becomes unstable or an unsafe situation arises, stop
immediately. Contact your supervisor or DHOLLANDIA for advice. See contact info on page 3.
When using more than one pair of lift columns, ALWAYS make sure that the vehicle is lifted level front / back and left / right.
If not, stop immediately. Contact your supervisor or DHOLLANDIA for advice. Follow the levelling procedures in section 9.8
on page 28 to synchronise the master and slave columns.
Ensure that the vehicle cannot tip-over when being lifted / lowered. Make sure the vehicle and the body are empty; maximize
the spread between the consecutive mobile column lifts and make sure the unsupported overhangs in front of and behind the
lift columns are not overweight. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in serious bodily injury or death to the operator
or bystanders.

WARNING
Ensure the vehicle body is unloaded. If not, unload the vehicle body first if possible. If this is not possible, make sure the
weight is evenly distributed between the left and right side of the body.
Be mindful of weight shifts as you remove parts from the vehicle or add parts to the vehicle.
Check the tire pressure of the lifted vehicle. NEVER exceed the tire load when lifting.
After positioning the lift columns around the tires of the vehicle, ALWAYS use the pallet jack mechanism to lower the lift
columns to the ground. Make sure the lift columns are in firm contact with the ground and cannot move when a vehicle is lifted.
As a general precautionary measure and to prevent people from being hit or crushed by the mobile column lift, the lift forks,
the vehicle, objects falling of the lift or the vehicle; or from being pinched by the moving parts of the lift:
Keep visual control over the entire working area of the mobile column lift; its lift forks and the vehicle
at all times, including the area DIRECTLY AROUND and UNDER the lift and vehicle.
DO NOT allow any other person to stand in the proximity of the mobile column lift and the vehicle.
ENSURE AT ALL TIMES THAT NOBODY STANDS UNDER OR WITHIN REACH OF THE MOVING
LIFT FORKS AND THE VEHICLE.
NEVER lift a vehicle while a passenger is inside or somebody is standing on the lift forks.
After lifting a vehicle to the suitable working height, ALWAYS engage the safety locks of the lift columns. NEVER walk or work
under a vehicle that is not supported by the safety locks.
Objects lying around under the vehicle can cause hazard when lowering the mobile column lift. ALWAYS make sure that the
area under and immediately around the mobile column lift and the vehicle is completely cleared.
Make sure the wheelbase and track width of vehicles with pneumatic suspension cannot change when lifting the vehicle.
Disable the pneumatic suspension. Check the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer for advice.
DO NOT lift one wheel of vehicles with a floating axle and multiple wheels (e.g. all-terrain trailers with dual floating wheels).
This may cause the mobile column lift to become unstable and fall over. Failure to abide by these instructions can result in
serious bodily injury or death to the operator or bystanders.
Shut down the mobile column lift when the work is finished or a malfunction occurs. Shut it down safely: first switch off the
main power switch on the electric control box. Then pull out the main power plug.
ALWAYS disconnect the mobile column lift from the main power supply before doing maintenance. NEVER leave the lift
unattended while it is in maintenance. When leaving the lift behind, ALWAYS attach a clear warning sign on the lift columns
to warn others that the lift is out of use.
ALWAYS make sure the hydraulic pipes and electrical cables between the lift columns are sufficiently protected. Use heavy-
duty cable covers to protect them from damage caused by falling objects, hot metal chips, welding sparks and slag etc.
When performing works (welding, plasma cutting, etc.) that require grounding, make sure the ground is taken on the vehicle
itself, with respect of the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer. A ground over the lift cylinders, hydraulic pipes and / or
electrical cables of the lift columns can cause serious damage to the mobile column lift.
Above all, USE GOOD COMMON SENSE when operating the mobile column lift. DO NOT operate the mobile column lift until
the contents of this manual have been read and fully understood. Improper use of the mobile column lift increases the risk of
serious bodily injury or death to the operator and any bystanders.
Electrical hazards
Do not wear metal clothing, jewellery, watches or rings near live electrical circuits.
When working on electronic parts, always ensure thorough grounding. Failure to do so can cause severe damage to electronic
parts or persons.
All electronic circuits can be considered live until power has been turned off by means of the main power switch.
When working on electronic parts or electrical circuits, always keep hands, feet and clothing dry.

Maintenance to the electrical circuit or electronic parts of the mobile column lift may only be done by electricians who have
experience with the local regulations.
If an extension cord is used, the cord should be rated for the same or more current than that of the equipment requirements.
Less rated cords could overheat during operation.
The connection cords of the mobile column lifts should always be unplugged when leaving the mobile column lifts unattended.
ALWAYS grasp the plug instead of pulling the cable while unplugging the main power cable.
Equipment should be completely cooled down while stored after usage.
Do not operate the mobile column lift in the vicinity of open containers of gasoline and other flammable products to avoid fire.

7.3 DANGER ZONES, RISK OF CRUSH AND SHEAR INJURY
The main danger zones on and around the mobile column lift, that can be hazardous to the operator and any other persons nearby:
ALWAYS stay clear of the area under and around
the lift columns, the lift shaft with its lift forks.

Lowering the lift columns or lift forks on
one’s feet may result in serious bodily
injury. To prevent people from having
their feet crushed or sheared by the

7.4 RECOMMENDED DAILY INSPECTION BEFORE USE

Before operating the mobile column lift, the operator must conduct the following daily inspection.

Replace missing, worn or illegible warning decals immediately.
Check the overall connection of the main power plug and the main power cable. Make sure the cable
is properly fastened inside the plug, and the electrical cable is undamaged.
Make sure the main power switch and indicator light on the electric control box switch on and off
according to the status of the switch.
Check the overall condition of the electric control box and its switches. Confirm that all switches (except
the ON / OFF cabin switch and the emergency stop) swiftly return to the neutral position after releasing
them.
Visually inspect the overall condition of the cables entering the control box, the power pack, the plugs
and cables between the master and slave columns and between various mobile column lifts. Make sure
cables are not chafed, lose or damaged. Make sure plugs are in good condition and the cables are
properly fastened inside the plug.
Ensure the cover of the power pack is properly installed and secured.
Visually inspect the overall condition of the hydraulic hoses between the master and slave columns.
Make sure the hoses are undamaged, not pinched or chafed anywhere, and adequately protected by a
protective sleeve and heavy-duty cable covers. Check for visible oil leaks.
Check the power pack for visible oil leaks.
Visually inspect the general condition of the lift columns, the lift shafts and lift forks, safety locks, tire
adaptors and the pallet jack mechanism. Look for damage, cracks or deformation in the material and
welds.
Check the lift cylinders, their safety valves and fittings for visible oil leaks.
Lift the lift forks approx. 1000 mm. Verify if the master and slave columns go up in a synchronized way.
If operating multiple mobile column lifts, verify if all pairs of lift columns go up in a synchronized way.
Test the function of the emergency stop. Verify that the functions LIFT / LOWER are disabled after
pressing the emergency stop. Then turn the switch back to its neutral position.
WARNING
Using a mobile column lift that is damaged or improperly serviced, can put the operator and bystanders at great risk of serious
bodily injury and death.
To avoid this risk, inspect the mobile column lift prior to the first use of each day. Ensure that all safety systems and all functions
operate correctly, and that no maintenance or repair is required.
If any unsafe condition exists or unusual noises or movements are noticed, DO NOT use the mobile column lift and contact an
authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent. [see Notice].
DO NOT cover up any accidents or damage; it can be dangerous to you, your co-workers, and other persons.

Press SAFETY DOWN. Verify if the lift shafts / lift forks go down and get blocked on all lift columns in
use. Make sure no lift shafts / lift forks continue to go down further after the safety locks have been
engaged.
Make sure all movements occur smoothly and quietly, without jerking motion or unusual noises. During
the LIFT function, the sound of the electric motor in the power pack will be audible. The LOWER function
is gravity down, no particular sound should be audible.
Remember: if any part of the pre-trip inspection reveals a need for service or repair
DO NOT use the lift until it has been serviced or repaired by a qualified service technician.
Switch OFF the power at the electric control box and pull out the main power plug.
7.5 IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
NOTICE
Competent and regular preventative maintenance is essential to the operational reliability of the mobile column lift as well as the
safety of the operator and all bystanders.
All maintenance and repair work must be performed by authorized DHOLLANDIA service agents, and using original
DHOLLANDIA replacement parts only.
Please consult the separate MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MANUAL for specific instructions regarding periodic maintenance.
If a mobile column lift cannot be repaired immediately in case of breakdown, it must be put out of operation and secured against
unauthorized use.
In view of the size, weight and value of the vehicles being lifted, and in view of the possible consequences in terms of personal
injury or death and property damage, these lifts SHALL NOT be used if they are not maintained in proper working condition or if
the daily inspection reveals any deficiencies or anomalies.
WARNING
Impact by a falling platform will result in serious bodily injury or death. To reduce the risk of injury:
Maintain the mobile column lift in good working order
Execute the daily inspection.
If any anomalies or deficiencies arise, put the mobile column lift out of service immediately. Attach a
clear and highly visible warning to the control box and lift columns.
Warn your supervisor.
Contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent to repair the mobile column lift prior to any further
use.
7.6 NOISE
In normal operation, the DH-AB* mobile column lift doesn’t exceed a noise level of 70dB(A). In case of mechanical failure the
mobile column lift can exceed a noise level of 70dB. When this happens, ALWAYS stop the operation immediately, warn your
supervisor and contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent for maintenance and repair.

8MAXIMUM RATED CAPACITY
The maximum rated capacity of the mobile column lift is mentioned on the serial number decal of the machine and on the
main decal on the cover of the power pack.
The maximum rated capacity is valid for each pair of master + slave columns. If 2 mobile column lifts are joined together, i.e. 4
lift columns, the capacity is doubled.
When using the tire adaptors for smaller diameter wheels, the maximum rated capacity per lift column is limited to the value
mentioned on the tire adaptors. Example: when using 4 lift columns with tire adaptors with a 1500 kg capacity decal, the maximum
rated capacity is limited to 4 x 1500 kg = 6000 kg.
WARNING
Overloading and improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and bystanders at great risk of serious bodily injury
or death. Such conditions will also cause premature wear and damage, or failure of the mobile column lift.
Therefore it is essential that the operator respects the maximum rated capacity and follows the loading instructions and the
load chart with great care.
DHOLLANDIA disclaims liability for all personal bodily injury and / or property damage that results from overloading practices.
NEVER use only one lift column of the set. Lifting a vehicle with only one lift column can put the operator and bystanders at
great risk of serious bodily injury or death; and may cause property damage to the mobile column lift and / or the vehicle.

9OPERATION
9.1 USE OF THE PALLET JACK MECHANISM
The pallet jack mechanism is used to move the mobile column lift around
in a safe and practical way, to push the columns under the tires of the
vehicle or the pull them from underneath. Use the following instructions to
operate the mechanism:
1. Position the handle in position [3] to activate the pump. Make pumping
movements with the handle bar to jack up the lift columns .
2. Leave the handle in idle position [2] and move the mobile column lift
to the desired location.
3. Pull the handle to position [1] to lower the lift columns to the ground.
Make sure the lift columns are fully resting on the ground prior to lifting
any vehicles.
4. When finished, leave the handle behind in idle position [2].
If the operator forgets to lower the lift columns to the ground prior to lifting
a vehicle, a fail safety on the pallet jack mechanism will automatically do the
same thing as the vehicle is lifted off the ground.
WARNING
The pallet jack mechanism shall ONLY be used to move the lift columns around.
NEVER use the mobile column lift to move vehicles, machines or other objects to a different position. Using the mobile column
lift for transportation purposes can put the operator and bystanders at risk of serious bodily injury or death. Hence, it can lead
to property damage to the mobile column lift and the vehicle or objects being transported with it.
9.2 ELECTRIC CONTROL BOX
The master column is equipped with the electric control box. It incorporates the following elements:

Main power switch: turn the switch clockwise to switch the
main power to the mobile column lift on. Turn it counter
clockwise to switch the main power off.

Indicator light: testimony light indicating the on / off status of
the main power switch.
3
Configuration selector: turn the switch counter clockwise to
activate only 1 mobile column lift (2 lift columns). Turn it
clockwise to use 2 mobile column lifts (4 lift columns) in a
synchronised way.

LIFT button: push the button to raise the lift forks and the
vehicle.
5
LOWER button: push the button to lower the lift forks and the
vehicle.
6
SAFETY DOWN button: push the button to lower the lift forks
and the vehicle onto the safety locks on the lift column.









