General
Conformity to EU directive 93/42 for medical products is hereby declared for the rollator described here.
These instructions for use are included in the delivery.
They should be retained by the user and also kept with the product if it is transferred.
We reserve the right to make changes to the design shown in these instructions as a result of technical
advances.
Reprinting, translation and copying in any form, including partially, require the written permission of the
manufacturer. Copyright remains with the manufacturer.

Once you have unpacked the rollator, check to make sure that it has been supplied with all of its parts
and that it is not damaged. If it shows any visible damage, please inform the courier immediately.
Caution:Keep the packaging materials and protective films out of the reach of children – risk of
suffocation!
Caution:Do not burn the protective films! Doing so can release toxic gasses.
Indication and intended use
The rollator Ligero is designed for use as a walking aid and, within certain limits, as a seat for short
periods of rest for mobility-restricted persons with a maximum body weight of 120 kg.
The wire basket suspended underneath the seat is designed for storing and transporting objects or
goods.
The rollator Ligero is only designed for indoor use, inside residential or public areas and for outdoor
areas. It must only be used on solid, horizontal and level ground.
Any use of the rollator Ligero for other purposes constitutes improper use and is dangerous!
Contraindications
The Ligero is not indicated for use by users with:
•Impaired cognitive functions
•Severely impaired balance
•Low arm strength
•A body weight exceeding 120 kg
•Reduced or inadequate vision
The Ligero is not suitable for children.

Setting up/unfolding the rollator
•Position the rollator in front of you in the
intended direction of travel
•Operate the locking brake
•Hold the rollator with one hand on the
handle
•With the other hand, press the folding
mechanism downwards until you can feel
it lock in position
•Fold the seat down
•Fold the backrest into the position for use
and then hang the basket onto the frame
from the front
Folding the rollator
•Remove the basket from the frame
•Position the rollator pointing away from
you and operate the parking brake
•Fold up the seat
•Hold the rollator with one hand on the
handle
•With the other hand, release the folding
mechanism by pulling sharply out of its
position
•Now pull the rollator completely towards
you
CAUTION: Take care when folding the
rollator Ligero to avoid trapping clothing or
body parts! Risk of crushing!
Adjusting the push handle
•First operate the locking brake
•Unscrew the bolt and pull the fixing
bolt completely out
•Position the push handle at the
correct height (recommended: the
push handles should be at wrist
height

Adjusting the brake
•The braking effect can be adjusted
directly at the brake lever or at the
bowden cable
•The brake is correctly adjusted
when the brake lever and Bowden
cable do not exhibit any play and
the wheels rotate without any
rubbing noises
CAUTION: For safety reasons, it is
only permitted to use holes 1-5 (see
image on the right)!
•Finally, reinsert the fixing bolts and
tighten with the star grip nut
Make sure that the bolt goes completely into the hole. For storing the rollator, you can
completely remove the push handles from the frame.

Safety notes
When used as intended and in the way described in this user manual, the rollator Ligero is completely
safe to use and does not present any risks.
WARNING: Failure to follow all of the safety instructions can result in injury!
•The rollator must only be used on level, horizontal and solid ground.
•Always use the brake when using the rollator on sloping ground.
•The rollator must stand securely on all four wheels.
•Before using the rollator, check whether all of the attached parts have been properly fastened,
that the brakes are working and that the hinges of the folding mechanism are not damaged and
have been fully opened.
•Do not use the rollator if the handles or any other components are loose!
•Always lock both of the brakes before sitting down on the rollator’s seat.
•Caution: shifting your body weight while sitting on the rollator can make it more prone to tipping
over!
•Putting a lot of weight on the handles can make the rollator tip backwards.
•Do not hang any bags from the handles.
•Make sure not to trap your hands and fingers when unfolding and folding the rollator. Risk of
trapping clothing and body parts!
•Never exceed the max. load capacity of 120 kg for the user plus any additional loads.
•Do not expose the rollator to prolonged periods of direct sunlight or low temperatures as this
could cause parts of the product (e.g. frame or handles) to become very hot (> 41°C) or cold (<
0°C), which might injure the skin.
•Do not park the rollator immediately adjacent to or block emergency exits and escape routes.
•Do not use the rollator under the influence of alcohol or other substances that may negatively
affect your alertness and reactions.
•Only use the rollator for its intended purpose! Do not drive it straight into obstacles such as
steps or edges.
•When sitting on the rollator, do not use your feet to move it forward and do not let other people
push you! Doing so could result in injury and damage to the product!
•Always observe the road traffic regulations when using the rollator outdoors.
•If possible, make sure to wear light coloured, high visibility clothing. This will make it easier for
you to be seen by other road users.
•Do not use the rollator as a seat inside public transport or other kinds of vehicles. There is an
acute risk of tipping!
•Do not use the rollator on an escalator, as there is an acute risk of tipping!
•Always cross rail tracks and similar obstacles at a right angle (90°) if they cannot be avoided.
•Do not use the rollator to transport heavy loads. The rollator must only be used to transport
objects placed inside the basket. The basket’s maximum carrying capacity is 3 kg.
•Do not use the rollator as a ladder, as this would present an acute risk of injury!
•Any severe incidents associated with the rollator must be reported to the manufacturer and
responsible authority!
•Regularly check the frame for scratches and cracks. Do not use the rollator if it develops any
cracks!
•Please take your rollator immediately to your medical supply store for repair if you notice any
impairments of its functions.

Maintenance
We recommend performing the following checks at the specified intervals to make sure that the
rollator is always safe to use.
Before every use, check or have checked:
•Proper functions of the brakes
•Tight connections of all screw connections
•Steering and back wheels for smooth movement
Once a month, check or have checked:
•Stability of the pushing handles and arm rests
•Proper function of the folding mechanism hinge
•Smooth movement of the wheels and absence of damage; remove any fluff and dirt from the wheel
hubs if necessary
Annually, by your medical supply store:
•Full inspection of the entire rollator incl. accessories for good working order, stability and safeness
CAUTION: The rollator must not be used if defective. Do not attempt to repair the rollator yourself –
always take it to your medical supply store for repairs!
Service life
We expect that the product will have an anticipated average service life of 5 years if used as intended
and described in this user manual. However, the product’s actual life expectancy can vary depending
on the frequency and intensity of use.
Disposal
If your rollator is no longer in use and needs to be disposed of, please contact your specialist dealer.
If you would like to dispose of it yourself, please contact a local waste management company to
enquire about the local disposal regulations.
Cleaning
•The rollator should be cleaned regularly by wiping it with a damp cloth.
•Use a mild detergent and warm water to remove heavier dirt.
•Use a damp brush with plastic bristles to clean the wheels.
•Make sure that you allow all of the rollator’s parts to dry completely after cleaning to preserve their
quality.
•The rollator must only be cleaned with mild, commercially available detergents and disinfection
products. The next section contains more detailed information on how to disinfect the rollator.
WARNING: Do not use any high-pressure cleaning devices or abrasive or acidic chemicals to clean the
rollator!

Reassignment and reuse
The number of times the rollator can be reused depends on its condition, level of wear and working
order.
It is not recommendable to reuse the rollator if:
•The frame or any other connections are not completely solid
•The wheels or brakes show signs of wear
•It shows noticeable signs of wear
When reassigning the rollator for reuse by another person, please make sure to provide the new user
or specialist dealer with all of the technical documentation needed to ensure the rollator’s safe use.
Before being reused, the rollator must be cleaned, disinfected, checked for damage and approved
by a specialist dealer for continued use.
When manually reconditioning a used aid for reuse, all of the aid’s components must be thoroughly
treated/wiped with a disinfectant. Always take special care when disinfecting surfaces that are come
into frequent contact with hands/skin, such as the handles.
The following disinfectants are suitable for use on the rollator:
•Alcohol-based and aldehyde-free disinfectants (max. 70 % propyl alcohol)
•Oxygen-splitting disinfectants
•Aldehyde-based disinfectants
WARNING: When reconditioning the rollator, always refer to the manufacturers’ use and application
instructions for the detergents and disinfectants.
Product labels
Type plates and warning labels must always be legible. On the Ligero, these labels are affixed to
the rear horizontal connecting rod of the main frame. Please get your specialist dealer to replace
any illegible or missing plates/labels without delay.
The 10-digit serial number is found at the bottom of the type plate.
Warranty
The services provided under the warranty only refer to defects on the product that are demonstrably due to defe
in materials or workmanship.
The warranty period is 24 months from the date the product is notified as ready for shipment and
at the latest from the date of delivery. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by wear,
wilful intent, careless or improper operation or use. The same applies to the use of unsuitable
care products, lubricants and grease.
