About this collar
The
Dogtek® NoBark Spray
is a safe, humane and effective way to deter excessive barking
from your dog. When your dog barks, the NoBark Spray delivers a short spray of harmless
citronella mist towards the dog’s lower jaw. Completely harmless and painless, the citronella
anti-bark collar is scientifically proven to be the most effective on the market. The
Dogtek®
NoBark Spray c
ollar is automatic and does not require human involvement.
The
Dogtek® NoBark Spray
works extremely well because it plays to four of your dog’s five
senses:
• Sight they can see the spray.
• Hearing they can hear the spray.
• Touch they can feel the spray.
• Smell they can smell the citronella of the spray.
Because this No-Bark collar affects so many senses, your dog is much more likely to remember
the correction the next time, thus avoiding lengthy barking spells.
The
Dogtek® NoBark Spray
does not use static corrections or beeps, so it will not create any
extra anxiety for the dog. Within a short period of training time, the dog begins to associate the
citronella spray correction with their bad barking habits further reducing your dog’s desire to
excessively bark.

Collar operating options
As a management aid
Simply put the anti-bark collar on your dog and allow the spray to interrupt and stop your dog’s barking.
The spray should have an immediate effect, but it’s possible your dog will associate that the spray only
appears when he’s wearing the collar and may resume barking when the collar is removed.
When wearing the anti-bark collar your dog will quickly learn that there is a consequence for
barking. He should completely acclimate to the collar within a few days.
As a training aid
This method will require you to spend a significant amount of time interacting (the length of
time will differ depending on your dog) with your dog reinforcing quiet behavior and teaching
a «quiet» command.
Your dog will need to wear the
Dogtek® NoBark Spray
collar for several days without turning
it on to get accustomed to it. Once he’s comfortable wearing the collar you can begin the
training process.
Failure to secure the collar strap will increase the likelihood that the strap will slip causing a
need to constantly adjust the fit. The assembled collar should look as shown.
Test the spray device:
Before every use, it’s recommended to test the spray action by turning
the device ON and blowing forcefully into the microphone.
Properly fitting the collar
Remove all other collars. Place the
Dogtek® NoBark Spray
collar around your dog’s neck so
that the spray valve is directed upwards toward his muzzle. Adjust the strap. When properly
fitted, you should only be able to slip two fingers under the collar.
NOTE: AFTER THE COLLAR HAS BEEN FITTED, WE ADVISE YOU TO CUT THE EXCESS STRAP LENGTH THAT COULD
BOTHERYOUR DOG.TO DO SO, PLEASE REMOVE THE COLLAR OFYOUR DOG’S NECK, CUT THE EXCESS OFF WITH A
PAIR OF SCISSORS, AND THEN BURN THE END OF THE STRAP TO PREVENT FRAYING.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE COLLAR IS FITTED PROPERLY, WORKING CORRECTLY, AND THATYOUR DOG HAS
BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO IT BEFOREYOU LEAVE HIM UNATTENDED WHILE WEARING THE DEVICE.

• Plan the first use for a day when you have ample time to observe your dog’s response. Allow
your dog to be in a situation that usually triggers unwanted barking. Do not yell “No” or respond
in any way when your dog barks. When he does bark, the device will spray. He may be quite
surprised, and possibly jump, sneeze, or shake his head. As soon as he has stopped barking,
we recommend you praise him saying “Good, quiet”, and giving him a small treat as a reward.
Where and when should the collar be used?
It can be used indoors and outdoors, anywhere you find your dog’s continued barking to be a
problem or nuisance. We recommend that your dog is given some free time each day without
the collar on to play, relax and vocalize. It should not be left on your dog 24 hours-a-day.
Removing the collar
Detach the anti-bark collar using its quick-snap release. Remember to turn the device OFF after
every use. It’s also recommended that you remove the battery if you intend to stop using the
device on a regular basis for any significant period of time.

Regular maintenance and care
• Remove the battery before cleaning device.
NOTE: IT’S VERY IMPORTANT THATYOU FILL THE SPRAY RESERVOIR BEFORE EACH USE. ALWAYS REFILL BEFORE IT
RUNS DRY, OTHERWISE YOUR DOG WILL LEARN THAT IF HE’S PERSISTENT THE SPRAY WILL STOP.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTACH A LEASH DIRECTLY TO THE SPRAY COLLAR, AS THE TENSION CAUSED BY PULLING MAY
CAUSE THE COLLAR STRAP TO LOOSEN. IFYOU WANT TO WALKYOUR DOG WHILE HE’S WEARING THE ANTI-BARK
COLLAR, SIMPLY USE HIS NORMAL WALKING COLLAR, HEAD COLLAR OR HARNESS.
DON’T USE THE DOGTEK® NOBARK SPRAY COLLAR WHILEYOUR DOG IS SWIMMING OR EXPOSED TO PROLONGED RAIN OR
WATER SHOWERS. THIS SPRAY DEVICE IS WATER RESISTANT, NOT WATERPROOF, AND WILL STOP WORKING IF SUBMERGED.
CAUTION: THE DOGTEK® NOBARK SPRAY DEVICE SHOULD ONLY BE USED ON HEALTHY DOGS. IF YOUR DOG
HAS ANXIETY-BASED BEHAVIOR OR HEALTH PROBLEMS, WE SUGGEST THAT YOU CONSULT A VETERINARIAN BEFORE
USING THIS NO-BARK DEVICE.
CAUTION: DON’T EXPOSE THE SPRAY DEVICE TO TEMPERATURES BELOW 32°F OR CONDITIONS ABOVE 113°F. BE
PARTICULARLY CAREFUL NOT TO LEAVE THE DEVICE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT, BY A WINDOW, OR IN A CAR ON A SUNNY DAY.
