PRESENTATION
Burn 4 times as many calories!
The E-Shape Booster was designed for walking at speeds of 0.5 km/h and upwards, vigorous walking
and running at a steep incline (up to 20%).
By using the incline system, you will be able to have a more intense workout and burn more calories.
When you walk at a steep incline (between <7 km/h and >17% incline), you will burn 4 times as many
calories as you would when walking on the at.
Thanks to the personalised coaching service on the Domyos app, which you can download to your
tablet before connecting it to the treadmill, you will be able to meet your weight loss goal even faster.
Please read this manual carefully before using the treadmill.
In order for us to be able to give you the best possible assistance when dealing with any questions
you may have, please make a note of the model number and series number of your treadmill before
you call us.
You will nd these numbers on a self-adhesive label located as shown below:
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Check your tness levels with your medical practitioner. This is
particularly important if you are over 35 years of age or have had
health problems in the past.
2. This machine is not designed to be used by people (including
children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities are re-
duced, or by people with no experience or knowledge of it, unless
they have received, with the help of a person responsible for their
safety, supervision or preliminary instruction regarding the use of
the machine.
3. DOMYOS shall be exempt from any liability with regard to claims
for injuries or for harm suered by any person or property which
stems from the incorrect use of this product by the purchaser or
by any other individual.
4. Keep your hands well away from all moving parts. Never put your
hands or feet under the running belt.
5. Immediately after each use, and before carrying out any cleaning,
assembly or maintenance operations, switch o the on/o switch
and unplug your treadmill from the power supply.
6. Never leave the machine unattended when it is plugged in.
7. Never use this machine with a damaged electrical cable or plug,
or if it has come into contact with water.
8. If you need to use an extension cable, only use one that is proper-
ly earthed and no more than 1.5 m in length.
9. Earthing instructions: for your safety, your treadmill must be
plugged into a power socket that has been correctly installed and
tted with an earthing mechanism in accordance with the regula-
tions currently in eect. If in doubt, have your installation checked
by a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to alter the plug sup-
plied with your treadmill in any way.
10. The electricity supply in your household must be in good con-
dition and adhere to the standards in eect. This machine must
be used on a dedicated circuit of at least 16 amps and 220 volts
of alternative current. No other appliances must be plugged into
the same circuit.
11. Never lift up the motor cap. Any adjustments or alterations other
than those outlined in this manual must only be made by an au-
thorised technician. Any failure to abide by this safety measure
may lead to serious or even fatal injuries.
12. It is the user's responsibility to inspect all the component parts
before each use of the product and to tighten them if necessary.
Any parts which are damaged or defective must be replaced im-
mediately.
13. Make sure that the circulation of air in the room is sucient for
the duration of your workout.
14. Wear running shoes that are in good condition. To avoid damag-
ing your machine, make sure that there is no debris, such as gravel
or pebbles, stuck in the soles.
15. Make sure your hair is tied back. Do not wear loose-tting clothes
which could impede you during your workout. Remove all jewellery.
16. At the end of your workout, wait for the treadmill to come to a
complete stop before getting o.
17. At the end of your workout, pull the safety key out of the console
and store it in a safe place, out of the reach of children.
18. Always use the on/o switch when stopping the machine.
19. Position the power cord well away from places where people
might be walking past.
20. Level of acoustic pressure, measured at 1 m from the surface of
the machine and at a height of 1.60 m above the oor: 70 dBA (at
top speed). Noise emission under load is higher than without load
21. To get o the machine in an emergency, hold on to the support
bar and put your feet on the foot-rest.
22. To stop the machine in an emergency, pull out the safety key.
23. If you experience any feelings of vertigo, nausea, chest pains or
any other unusual symptoms, stop your workout immediately
and consult your doctor before continuing your training.
24. The underside of the running belt was lubricated during the man-
ufacturing process. Whilst the machine was in transit, some of the
lubricant may have owed onto the top of the belt and onto the
box.This is entirely normal. If there is some lubricant on the top of
the running belt, clean it using a cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning
product.
25. This machine is designed for use in the home (class HC) for a max-
imum of 5 hours' use per week.
26. WARNING! The heart-rate monitoring systems may not always be
precise. Over-exertion may lead to serious injuries or death. If you
feel unwell, stop your workout immediately.
27. The machine must be placed on a surface that is stable, at and
horizontal.

SWITCHING ON YOUR TREADMILL
Plug in the power cord.
Move the on/o switch, located near the power cord, to the 'I' position.
Stand on the foot-rests on the treadmill.
Attach the clip from the safety key to your clothes.
Insert the safety key into the keyhole intended for this purpose on the console.
Your screen will light up and the treadmill is now ready for use.
If you wish to connect a tablet to the machine, please study the paragraph
"USING A TABLET AND THE DOMYOS APPVIA BLUETOOTH".
FUNCTIONS ON THE CONSOLE
PROGRAMMES
The DOMYOS E-Shape Booster oers you 10 pre-installed programmes which can be used to alter the speed and the angle of incline.
The programmes are divided up into several segments. FOR each segment there is a specic setting for the speed and the angle of incline.
Note: two segments that follow one another may feature the same settings.
Whilst you are doing your workout, the segment that is ashing is the one that is currently in operation.
The height of the segment represents the speed.

Pausing your treadmill during a programme:
- The programme will restart and gradually build back up to the walking speed attained just before you paused the programme
- Re-entering the pre-registered parameters of the programme.
"AUTO SCAN" mode:

Programme selection:
•To select the pre-installed programme that you wish to use, press the PROG button until the number of your programme appears on your

HOW DO I CONNECT MY DOMYOS DEVICE TO MY TABLET/SMARTPHONE?
1/ Download the Domyos E-Connected app free of charge from the APP STORE or GOOGLE PLAY.
2/ Open the app.
3/ Position your tablet/smartphone near your device.
For optimum functionality, place your tablet on the stand opposite the optical sensor (see the operational diagram for the console).
If your Bluetooth® is activated: your device will recognise it automatically. Click on OK. The name of your device will then appear on your screen:
If your Bluetooth® is not activated, a window will pop up and you will be asked to give your permission for Bluetooth® to be activated so that your

MAINTENANCE
It is essential to conduct regular maintenance checks in order to ensure optimum performance and a long service life for your treadmill. Please
read and abide by the instructions set out below. If the treadmill is not maintained in the manner stated, this could lead to excessive wear and
tear and may also cause permanent damage.

MAINTENANCE AFTER EACH USE
Pull the plug out of the socket. Inspect all the external parts of the treadmill and ensure they are properly fastened.
Cleaning:
• Turn o your treadmill and unplug it.
•Apply a small amount of mild, all-purpose cleaning product to a cloth made of 100% cotton, and remove the dust and stains from
the ramps, the upright supports, the foot-rests, the body and the motor cap.
•Wipe the walking platform as well, along the entire length of the running belt. Do not use any cleaning product under the
running belt.
•Apply a small amount of mild, all-purpose cleaning product to a cloth made of 100% cotton, and wipe the console and the
screens. Do not spray the cleaning product directly onto the treadmill, and do not use ammonia or acid-based cleaning products.
•Ensure that the running belt is properly centred and suciently taut. If it is, do not make any adjustments. If it needs adjusting,
refer to the instructions below.
Adjusting the position of the running belt (centring):
Locate the coloured indicators at the back of your treadmill.
If they appear red, the band needs to be re-centred. This will enable you to protect the running belt and prevent the machine from
stopping when you aren't expecting it to.
• Turn your treadmill to 4 km/h (2.5 mph) and stand at the back of the machine.
• If the belt has shifted towards the left:
Turn the left adjustment screw through half a rotation,
in a clockwise direction.
• If the belt has shifted towards the right:
Turn the right adjustment screw through half a rotation,
in a clockwise direction.
•Leave your treadmill running for the time it takes for
the belt to move across (1 to 2 minutes) and repeat the
operation if necessary. Make sure, however, that you do
not over-stretch the belt.
Adjusting the tension in the running belt:
The running belt will be subjected to wear and tear and become less taut over time. Be sure to tighten it as soon as it starts to slip
(a skidding sensation, with jerky changes of speed).
• Turn the 2 adjustment screws through half a rotation, in a clockwise direction.
• Repeat this step if necessary but make sure you don't over-stretch the belt. The belt has reached the right degree of tautness if
you can lift the sides 2 to 3 cm on each side
MONTHLY MAINTENANCE
Lubricating the running belt:
It is advisable to lubricate your treadmill in order to limit the amount of friction between the running belt and the deck. No lubrication
is necessary if traces of silicone are present on the inner side of the running belt or on the deck (and the surface is damp and slightly
greasy).

Lubricating the running belt:
It is imperative that you keep your treadmill well-lubricated, so as to limit the amount of friction
between the running belt and the deck. No lubrication is necessary if traces of silicone are
present on the inner side of the running belt or on the deck (and the surface is damp and slightly
greasy).
If the belt and the deck are dry:
1. Switch o your treadmill and unplug it.
2. Lift up the sides of the running belt and coat the inner surface with silicone.*
3. Plug your treadmill in again.
4. Make the belt rotate at a speed of 4 km/h (2.5 mph), with no-one on it, for 10 to 20 seconds.
5. Your treadmill is ready for use!
* A single lubrication corresponds to a dose of between 5 and 10 ml of silicone.
Please note that if you use too much silicone, you could harm the proper functioning of your
treadmill (risk of skidding).
• When buying lubricants, consult your local DECATHLON store or go to www.domyos.com.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Inspect the motor and the conveyor belt after every 1500 hours of use or 9000 km*
Change the running belt after every 3500 hours of use or 21000 km*
Change the running deck after every 5000 hours of use or 30000 km*
* To nd out how many hours the treadmill has been in use since it was rst switched on, press + .
Then press 6 times until you see the screen below.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The treadmill fails to light up:
1. Check that the power cord is plugged into a wall socket that is working properly (to check whether or not the wall socket is working, plug a
lamp or any other electrical appliance into it).
2. Check that the power cord is plugged into a wall socket that is properly earthed. If you need an extension cable, only use a 3 conductor wire
measuring 1 mm2 (size 14) and not exceeding 1.5 m (5 ft) in length.
3. After plugging in the power cord, make sure that the key is rmly plugged into the console.
4. Check to make sure that the switch on the body of the treadmill, near the power cord, is in the 'I' position.
The treadmill switches itself o during use:
• Make sure that the power cord is plugged in.
• Pull the key out of the console. Re-insert the key into the console.
If the problem continues, contact the after-sales service (see the last page of this manual).

COMMERCIAL GUARANTEE
DOMYOS guarantees this product, in normal conditions of use, for 5 years for the body and 2 years for the other parts and the labour, as of the date
of purchase, for which the date on the sales receipt shall be sucient proof.
DOMYOS's obligations under this guarantee shall be limited to replacing or repairing the product, at DOMYOS's discretion.
This guarantee shall not apply in the event of:
• Damage caused during transportation
• Use and/or storage out of doors or in a damp environment (with the exception of trampolines)
• Incorrect installation
• Incorrect use or abnormal use
• Incorrect maintenance
• Repairs carried out by technicians who have not been approved by DOMYOS
• Use in a context other than the home
This commercial guarantee does not exclude the legal guarantee that applies in the country of purchase.
In order to make use of the guarantee on your product, consult the last page of your user manual.
The moving conveyor belt slows down when you walk on it:
• If an extension cable is required, use only a 3 conductor cable with a calibre of 1 mm2 and a maximum length of 1.5 m.
• If the running belt is too taut, the performance of the treadmill may suer and there will be a risk of damaging the running belt. Take out
the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. USING the hexagonal key, turn the screws for adjusting the centring and tension of the running
belt through a quarter of a rotation in an anti-clockwise direction. When the running belt is at the right level of tension, you should be able
to lift each side of the running belt 2 to 3 cm o the walking deck. Be sure to keep the running belt centred at all times. Then plug in the
power cord, insert the key and allow the treadmill to function for a few minutes.
If the problem continues, contact the after-sales service (see the last page of this manual).
Your treadmill is making a strange noise:
Sound of rubbing:
• Check that the running belt is properly centred (the belt should not rub against the sides).
• Check that the running belt is suciently taut (the belt should not slide).
Structural noise (grinding):

E17: Turn o your treadmill and then turn it on again. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.
USE
If you are a beginner, start o with low-intensity workouts without forcing it, and taking breaks if necessary. Gradually increase the frequency and duration
of your sessions. Make sure the room in which you are exercising is well-ventilated.
Low-intensity eort for at least 10 mins
To stay in shape or get back into shape, train every day for at least 10 minutes.This type of exercise will enable you to get your
muscles and joints going at a gentle rate and can be used as a warm-up prior to more intense physical activity.
To achieve greater toning in your legs, select a steeper incline and increase the length of the workout.
Aerobic workout for weight-loss: moderate eort for 35 to 60 minutes
This type of workout will enable you to burn calories more eectively. It will do you no good to force yourself beyond your
limits: it is the frequency with which you train (at least 3 times a week) and the length of the sessions (35 to 60 minutes) that
will enable you to get the best results. Do your workout at medium speed (moderate eort without getting out of breath).
In order to lose weight, it is essential that you maintain a balanced diet, in addition to taking regular physical exercise.
Aerobic workout for endurance training: sustained eort for 20 to 40 minutes
This type of workout will enable you to strengthen the heart muscle and improve the work of the respiratory system. Complete
a workout at least 3 times a week at a sustained rate (rapid respiration). As the number of workouts you do increases, you will
be able to keep this degree of eort going for longer and at a better rate.
Workouts at a faster rate (anaerobic work and work in the red zone) are exclusively for athletes and require a special form of
preparation.
Recovery
After each workout, walk for a few minutes at a low speed so that your body gradually comes to rest. This recovery phase will ensure that your
cardio-vascular and respiratory systems, as well as your circulation and muscles, return to normal.This will enable you to eliminate side-eects such
as lactic acid, the accumulation of which is one of the major causes of muscle pains (cramps and soreness).
Stretching
Stretching after exercise minimises muscle stiness brought on by the accumulation of lactic acids and stimulates circulation.
