❐ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! Never touch the appliance’s cleaning head/nozzle while in
operation! Keep at least 30 cm away. Wear shoes when cleaning floors.
❐Never undo the water tank catch during use. Always ensure that the water tank is firmly
closed before using the appliance.
❐ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! Only hold the appliance by the handle during operation.
❐ATTENTION! Tripping hazard! When using the appliance, lay the mains cable so that there is
no risk of anyone catching themselves on it.
❐ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! The floor pad/nozzle may be very hot during and shortly after
use. For this reason, wait a few minutes for the cloth/nozzle to cool off completely before you
remove it.
❐ATTENTION! Scalding hazard! Let the appliance and accessories cool off completely before
you clean it, disassemble and/or store it.
Risk of electric shock and fire
❐In the interest of your own safety, check the appliance, the mains cord, and the mains plug for
damages before each use. Only use the appliance when it is in a fully functional state.
❐Never attempt to repair an electrical appliance or replace parts yourself. In the event of defects,
the appliance may no longer be used. Contact the nearest customer service centre/qualified
professional or, in the event of damage, contact the customer service department.
❐In the event of damage/malfunctions, turn off the appliance immediately.
❐Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the appliance has been connected. The mains voltage
must correspond to the technical data of the appliance. Only use proper extension cords,
whose technical data correspond to those of the appliance.
❐Lay the mains cord such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.
❐Do not use the appliance in rooms containing easily flammable dust or toxic and explosive
vapours.
❐Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Make sure that the appliance, the mains
cord or the mains plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the appliance falls in
water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
❐Never touch the appliance, the mains cord or the mains plug with wet hands.
❐The steam may not be pointed towards the mains cord or parts containing electric components
(e.g. stereo systems, televisions, monitors, switches, lights, microwave appliances etc.).
❐Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in to the electricity supply.
❐Turn the appliance off by pulling the mains plug out of the socket
– if you are not using the appliance,
– before removing floor pad,
– before attaching or removing a nozzle,
– before filling/emptying the water tank,
– in a storm or
– before you clean/store the appliance.
❐If you would like to remove the mains plug from the socket, do not pull on the power cable,
but always on the plug.
