Please note:
1. Please read this manual carefully and in conjunction with the main gazebo manual before proceeding with
the construction of your SideShed. Build your SideShed at the same time as the main gazebo.
2. If you have bought shingles, please use our shingle installation instructions included in the main gazebo
manual.
3. Fixings are supplied with your SideShed.
4. This manual shows installation on the right side of your main gazebo, but can be installed on the left by
swapping relevant panels.

The Nature of Wood
The wood provided for your garden building is softwood which has been kiln dried and is pressure treated for
protection against fungal decay and insect infestation. Wood is a natural product which may have knots, knot holes,
imperfections, cracks and warping.
Due to the inherent properties of wood we make no guarantees with regards to the above, nor will replace any
lengths of timber for any of the following reasons:
•Any timber that contains knots where they do not influence the structural stability of the product.
•Cosmetic appearances - colour variations e.g. caused by the structure or age of the product.
•Timber that has shakes, cracks or gaps that do not influence the structural strength of the product.
•Any timber that has been covered or buried underground.
•Twisted timber that can be installed.
•Queries arising from a neglectful manner of construction be in the foundation or erection of the product.
•Queries due to modifications by the owner causing timber to deform.
Any valid queries will be satisfied by the exchange or replacement of the defective parts only.
Your Gazebo has been designed with the self build in mind. However, it is important that the assembly
instructions are followed carefully.
Precautions:
•Always use working gloves.
•It is essential to have an assistant.
•All screw holes need to be pre-drilled using a 3mm drill bit (not provided) to avoid timber splitting.
The Gazebo is pressure treated so you will not need to treat it immediately or apply a preservative.
Pressure treatment does not mean that the timbers are waterproof, so you may wish to apply water repellent.
Water repellent can also be applied to timbers treated with a preservative.
Colour Transfer
This product has been pressure treated with wood preservative and a brown colour additive. Consideration should
be given to the propensity of the material to stain light colour adjacent surfaces, such as paving flags, render or
coated timber surfaces. We recommend contact between the timber and these surfaces is limited, and careful
consideration to storing the product prior to assembly should been taken in order to prevent such discolouration.

•Fix 3x CP1-50x908x1385 Panels together as shown in the diagram below, using 60mm screws.
•Ensure bottom faces of frame and outer cladding faces are flush between all 3 panels.

•Position and fix 2x 120x120x1525.A posts and 1x 45x140x3200 purlin to the 3 Panel wall
constructed in the previous step, as shown in the diagram below, using 60mm screws.
•Ensure the bottom faces of the panels are flush with the bottom faces of the posts and the outer
cladding face is flush with the outer face of the purlin.
•Fix 2x 120x120x1525.A to 1x 45x140x3200 using 2x 100mm screws per post, shown in the
detail view.

•Position the constructed outer wall using 2x 45x140x1807 outer rafters and loosely fix to the main gazebo
using 100mm screws to hold in place.
•Position and fix 4x 45x140x1977 rafters to the main gazebo rafters as shown, using M10 bolts, washers
and nuts.
•Ensure the top faces of the 4x 45x140x1977 rafters are flush with the top faces of the main gazebo
rafters.

•Position and fix the rear wall assembly to the
120x120 posts and outer rafter as shown, using
60mm screws.
•Ensure the outer face of the cladding on your
panels is flush with the outer face of the outer
rafter.

•Use 20x140 cover trims to correctly position the four central rafters of your SideShed as shown.
•Do not install the cover trims in this step, they are just used to space the rafters correctly.
•Fix the 3x H2.5 Simpson brackets to the 45x140x3200 purlin, using 5x 35mm screws per bracket.

•Fix the final rafter (without H2.5 Bracket fixing) to your 45x140x3200 purlin using 1x 100mm screw as shown.

•Fix 2x 35x35x1470 together using 60mm screws evenly spaced.
•Position and fix your 35x35x1470 and 35x35x1250 bearers as shown in the diagram below, using 1x
100mm screw per bearer.
•Ensure top faces of all bearers are flush.

shown using 60mm screws.
•Ensure outer faces of frames and outer
cladding faces are flush between all 3 panels.
•Fix the panels into the concrete base by drilling Ø16 holes 80mm deep (2 per
panel) and inserting the shield anchors into the holes.
•Fix the panels by inserting M10x110mm bolts and M10 washers and tighten
until secure.
•Fix the wall assembly from the previous step to the main gazebo 120x120 posts and main
gazebo purlin, using 60mm screws.
•Ensure the assembled wall meets the bearer assembly before securing.

screws.

•Fix 2x F.371597 flush with the end of the SideShed rafters, shown in the diagram, using 3x 40mm nails
per roof board. Ensure a 2mm gap in between these boards to allow for expansion of the wood.
•Continue this process with the remaining 38x F.1597, leaving a 2mm expansion gap between each roof
board.
•After the SideShed roof boards have been installed, continue by fixing the main gazebo roof boards following the same process.
•Please read the main gazebo installation manual for more detailed instructions on roof installation.

•Fix 2x 20x140x665, 2x 20x140x618.A and 1x 20x140x45 to the SideShed purlin as shown in the
diagram below, using evenly spaced 35mm screws.
•Ensure the top face of the cover trims meet the bottom face of the roof boards before securing with screws.

•Fix 1x GAZ-PT15351756 as shown in the diagram,
using 4x 35mm screws.
•Ensure the trim is flush with the internal edge of the
outer door frame and spaced 15mm from the bottom
face of the front panels.

•Position the door into the installed door frame ensuring a 5mm gap around each side of
the door frame.

•Fix the hinges to the GAZ-PT15351756 trim and the
CPSS7 door panel using 6x 35mm screws, 2x M6x
60mm Coach bolts, 2x M6 Washers and 2x M6 nuts
per hinge as shown below.
•Ensure hinges are in line with the frame of the door panel
when fixing.
•Fix the shootbolt as shown, using 2x 15mm screws and 4x 35mm screws.
•A hole will need to be drilled into the 120x120 post deep enough to allow the
shootbolt to fully lock.
•Ensure the shootbolt is secured to the central frame timbers of the CPSS7 door
panel.
