ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Rack Assembly
1) If your rack is plated it is best to keep the tissue on during installation to avoid fingerprinting.
2) Thread the D-ring through the roll at the top if each of the three arms.
3) Fasten the arms to the outside of the half round base with the three button head screws. Tighten the screws.
4) Hold the rack up to the wall, carefully measure and mark the wall. The base must go into the solid wood of wall studs or into a
wooden wall. The D-ring attachment can be made with wall fasteners if a wooden support is unavailable.
5) Position the back bar on the inside of the half round base with the central curve outward, away from the wall. Thread the lag
screws through the back bar and the base and attach to the wall.
6) Attach the D-ring with the wall fasteners or screws as appropriate. Here is how to use the wall fastener:
How to use the TOGGLER® Brand TB® Drywall/Plasterboard Anchors
1. Fold anchor.
2. Insert anchor in 5/16” (8mm) hole and tap flush with wall
3. Insert setting key and pop anchor open (except in thick wall or solid
walls). Do not force or hammer key. Remove key.
4. Place item over anchor.
5. Insert screw and tighten until flush with item, then stop. Toggler hollow
wall anchors wedge solidly in thick and solid walls.
Patented under one or more of the following US patent numbers: 4.993.901; 5.028.186; and foreign
counterparts thereof. Other patents pending. Toggler and typeface, TB, anchor shape and symbol are
registered trademarks of MPC.
7) Your local hardware store can advise you if special hardware is needed for your particular kitchen.
8) The 4 straight pot hooks are to be used on the back bar.
9) All of our hammered steel racks are finished with an industrial wax designed to give years of protection to the rack. Cleaning is
easily done with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly after cleaning. If a touch-up is ever needed we recommend a "Pledge" like wax
product.
10) The care and cleaning of our copper and brass units must be done with a low abrasive cleaner such as “Flitz”. Chrome racks are
best cleaned with a good quality glass cleaner like “Windex”. Our high quality plating will age & tarnish the same as solid
material. A periodic cleaning will restore your rack to its original brilliance
It is important that your rack is assembled correctly. If the unit is assembled or used incorrectly, it
could become unstable and collapse, possibly causing injury.
