1 안전 수칙

6 사용 방법
6.1 시운전
경고
미승인 전압 또는 주파수!
사고 위험
X전원 소스의 전압과 주파수가 공구의
이름판에 표시된 사양과 일치해야 합니다.
충전 시작
사용하기 전에 홈 [1-5]에서 케이블을 완전히
풀어 꺼내십시오.
X충전기의 플러그를 전원 소켓에 꽂으십시오.
X배터리 팩 [1-2]을 충전 스테이션 [1-1]에 밀어
넣으십시오.
벽면 설치
X그림 [2]을 확인하십시오.
6.2 LED의 의미
충전기를 소켓에 연결하면 모든 LED가 약 1초
동안 켜집니다(SCA 8만 해당). 그런 다음
충전기의 충전 상태 LED [1-4]가 '자체 점검 중'
임을 나타내는 노란색으로 변했다가 작동
상태임을 나타내는 초록색으로 변합니다.
노란색 LED - 점등
충전기가 작동 준비 중입니다.
초록색 LED - 점멸
배터리 팩이 충전 중입니다.

초록색 LED - 점등 - 준비 완료
배터리 팩의 충전량이 80 %를

6.3 작업 안내
충전을 계속 하거나 연속적으로 하면 충전기가
과열될 수 있습니다. 하지만 과열이 발생해도
충전기에는 영향이 없으며, 과열이 기술적 하자도
아닙니다.
충전기에 꽂힌 배터리 팩은 완전 충전 상태로
유지됩니다.
환기가 잘 되는 장소에 서 배터리 팩을
충전하십시오.
공기 냉각(SCA 8만 해당)
SCA 8 충전기에는 BP 18 Li-AS 배터리 팩의
냉각을 위한 팬이 달려 있습니다.
7 서비스 및 유지관리
다음 지침을 준수하십시오.
–충전기의 접촉부를 깨끗한 상태로
유지하십시오.
–SCA 8 충전기에서 환기구 [1-6]를 막히지 않은
상태로 유지하십시오.

1 Safety instructions
WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and
specifications provided with this tool. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
– This charger is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the charger by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
charger.
– This charger can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play withthe appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
– Do not open the charger.
– Protect the charger from metal components (e.g. swarf) or liquids.
– WARNING! Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries!
– Do not use power supply units or battery packs from other
manufacturers to operate cordless power tools. Do not use chargers
from other manufacturers to charge the battery packs. The use of
accessories not expressly authorised by the manufacturer can result in
electric shocks and/or serious accidents.
– Protect the machine from moisture.
– Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
– Check the plug and the cable regularly and should either become
damaged, in order to avoid a hazard, have them replaced by an authorised
after-sales service workshop.
– Do not cover vent openings on the charger. The charger can overheat
and will not work properly.
– There is a risk of vapours being released if the battery pack is damaged
or not used correctly. The vapours could irritate your airways. Seek fresh
air and consult a doctor if you feel unwell.

6 Operation
6.1 Commissioning
WARNING
Unauthorised voltage or frequency!
Risk of accident
XThe mains voltage and the frequency of the
power source must correspond with the
specifications on the machine’s name plate!
Start charging
Before use, the cable must be completely
unwound from the recess [1-5].
XInsert the mains plug of the charger in the
socket.
XPush the battery pack [1-2] into the charging
station [1-1].

6.2 Meaning of the LEDs
After inserting the charger in the socket, all
the LEDs light up for approx. 1 s (SCA 8 only).
After this, the charge status display [1-4] on
the charger initially changes to the yellow LED
(“self-check”) and then indicates the operating
condition of the charger:
Yellow LED - steady light
Charger is ready for operation
Green LED - flashing
Battery pack is charging
READY
Green LED - steady light - READY
The battery pack is >80 % charged and
ready for use. In the background, the
battery pack will continue to charge
up to 100 %.
Red LED - flashing
General fault indicator, e.g. not in full
contact, short circuit, faulty battery
pack, etc.
Red LED - steady light
Battery temperature is outside the
permitted limit values. As soon as the
permitted temperature is reached,
the charger automatically switches
to charging.

Remaining charge time (SCA 8 only)
In addition, the SCA 8 charger indicates
the maximum remaining charge time
on the LEDs [1-3].
XInsert the battery pack.
The charge status display flashes several times.
Maximum remaining charge time is displayed by
the corresponding LED flashing.
6.3 Working instructions
Continuous or several consecutive charging
cycles can cause the charger to heat up. However,
this does not do any harm and does not indicate
a technical fault.
When kept in the charger, battery packs remain
fully charged.
Place battery pack during charging in a well
ventilated area.
AIRSTREAM (SCA 8 only)
The SCA 8 charger is fitted with a fan and actively
supports cooling of the BP 18 Li-AS battery
packs.
7 Service and maintenance
Observe the following instructions:
– Keep the connecting contacts on the charger
clean.
– Do not cover the vents [1-6] on the SCA 8
charger.
