DESCRIPTION
- Professional 8-channel stereo mixer with PC audio card and USB recorder/player.
- Connect the mixer to your PC as an audio card. You can play audio content from the PC and record audio
on the PC simultaneously.
- USB recorder and player, play music or record the performance without a PC.
- It includes a 24-bit digital effects processor (16 effects) with effects selection and level control, which will
give an extra touch to your performances.

a.- MIC: microphone input, use the channel GAIN control to change the input sensitivity,
balanced XLR connector. It is possible to connect condenser microphones. For this
purpose, the phantom power must be switched on with the PHANTOM +48 V button.
b.-LINE: line input, use the channel GAIN control to change the input sensitivity, 6.3 mm
jack unbalanced.
c.- GAIN: input gain control. For the MIC microphone input (XLR) the range is from +20 dB
to +64 dB, and for the LINE input (6.3 mm jack) from -6 dB to +38 dB.
d.-HIGH: high pass filter with 12 kHz cut-off frequency.
e.- MID: band pass filter with a centre frequency of 2.5 kHz.
f.- LOW: low pass filter with 80 Hz cut-off frequency.
g.- FX (DSP)/SEND: channel send selector to the FX (DSP) integrated effects processor
or to the SEND bus.
h.- Volume control of signal to be sent to FX (DSP) or SEND, depending on the FX (DSP)/
SEND selection button.
i.- PAN: control that adjusts the stereo image in the final mix.
j.- MUTE: button that allows you to mute this channel which is sent to the SEND bus or
to the FX integrated effects processor (DSP).
k.- CLIP: LED which lights up when the input signal level is too high. In this case, decrease
the input level by GAIN control until the LED turns off or turns on occasionally.

a.- RETURN: stereo input for external effects processor with independent volume control, 2 x 6.3 mm
jack balanced connectors. If you only insert the L connector, the audio received by the mixer will
be distributed by L and R of the MAIN MIX output; if you connect both channels of the RETURN
input, L and R, each channel will go to its respective L or R output of the MAIN MIX output.
b.- SEND: line level output with independent volume control, 6.3 mm jack connector. This output will
receive signal from channels with the FX (DSP)/SEND selector pressed in. Connect this output
to an external effects processor and the output signal from this will return to the mixer via the
RETURN input.
c.- PHONES : headphone output for monitoring, 6.3 mm stereo jack.
d.- MAIN MIX: MAIN MIX bus line level outputs, 2 x RCA, 2 x 6.3 mm jack and 2 x XLR connectors.

a.- Information display. The first 2 digits on the left will show the programme selected in the FX (DSP)
effects processor and the rest of the information is related to the player/recorder.
b.- PROGRAM - FX (DSP): rotary control for effect selection. Turn the control until the display shows
the desired effect and press the same control to apply it. Finally, adjust the amount of effect from
the PARAMETER control and its volume with the FX (DSP) slider. This output will receive signal
from channels that have the FX (DSP)/SEND selector unpressed. The 16 available effects are as
follows:

c.- PARAMETER - FX (DSP): control to regulate the amount of effect to be applied.
d.- HIGH: high pass filter with 12 kHz cut-off frequency.
e.- LOW: low pass filter with 50 Hz cut-off frequency.
f.- SEND VOL: volume control of the SEND output signal.
g.- MUTE: button to mute the signal from the player to the final MAIN MIX.
h.- FX (DSP): volume slider for the output of the built-in effects processor.

i.- PLAYER: volume slider from the player to the MAIN MIX final mix.
j.- MAIN MIX (L-R): volume sliders for the left (L) and right (R) channels of the MAIN MIX final mix.
k.- RETURN VOL: volume control of the RETURN input.
l.- PHONES VOL: volume control of the PHONES monitor output.
m.- Left (L) and right (R) channel signal level indicators of the MAIN MIX output signal level (dB).
An adequate signal level will cause the green indicators to light up, and the yellow indicators to
light up in a timely manner. If the yellow indicators light up for an extended period of time, the
output signal level should be reduced. The red indicators should not light up, if this happens you
should reduce the output signal level to avoid damage to the equipment.
n.- PHANTOM +48V: phantom power for the XLR connectors of the input channels. It must be
activated when the microphone to be connected is a condenser microphone.
o.- PHANTOM +48V: phantom power activation indicator light.
p.- REC: button to start a recording or playback of recorded files.
AUDIO RECORDING: with the REC mode selected press the rotary control ( ) to start recording
and the counter on the display will start to increment indicating that recording has started. Press
the rotary control ( ) to pause the recording or long press the REC button to end the recording.
When a recording is finished, playback of the recorded files will start in pause mode. Control the
playback of these recordings with the rotary control on the player:
- : turn anti-clockwise to skip to the previous recording.
- : turn clockwise to skip to the next recording.
- : press the control to start or pause the playback of the recordings.
q.- MODE: a short press allows you to change the mode of the player.
r.- Integrated player controls:
- : turn counterclockwise to skip to the previous song.
- : turn clockwise to skip to the next song.
- : press the control to start or pause playback.
s. USB port for playback of audio files from a USB device or cable connection to a PC.
PC CONNECTION: by connecting a USB cable from this port to a PC, the PC will detect the mixer
as an input and output device. That is, you can send audio to the PLAYER channel and receive the
MAIN MIX audio on the PC as long as you have the PC mode selected on the player.

CONNECTION
- Before making any connections, make sure that all devices are switched off and disconnected from the
power supply.
- Check that all volume controls on each input and the MAIN MIX output are set to minimum.
- Connect the desired equipment to the input channels.
- If you want to use the player, select the desired mode and then adjust the volume.
- Connect the MAIN MIX output to a line level input of a power amplifier.
- Connect the equipment to the power supply. Switch on the equipment in this order: peripheral equipment,
followed by the MIX-12PRO mixer and lastly the power amplifier (if necessary).
- Adjust the gain of each channel by displaying the channel’s CLIP indicator.
- Adjust the volume of each input channel with the volume sliders.
- Adjust the FX (DSP)/SEND volume of each channel if necessary.
- Adjust the volume of the FX effects (DSP) and/or the SEND output bus and RETURN input if necessary.
- Adjust the output level of the MAIN MIX main mix bus with its volume control.

19” RACK INSTALLATION
- To install this mixer in a 19” rack you will need to purchase the SM-8PRO 7U mounting brackets.
- Perform the following steps for installation:
1.- Remove the profiles on both sides.

a.- MIC: entrada de micrófono, utilice el control de ganancia GAIN del canal para
modificar la sensibilidad de la entrada, conector XLR balanceado. Es posible conectar
micrófonos de condensador, para ello deberá encender la alimentación phantom con
el botón PHANTOM +48 V.
b.-LINE: entrada de línea, utilice el control de ganancia GAIN del canal para modificar la
sensibilidad de la entrada, conector jack 6’3 mm desbalanceado.
c.- GAIN: control de ganancia de la entrada. Para la entrada de micrófono MIC (XLR) el

g.- FX (DSP)/SEND: selector del envío del canal al procesador de efectos integrado
FX (DSP) o al bus de envío SEND.
h.- Control de volumen de señal que se enviará a FX (DSP) o SEND, en función del botón
de selección FX (DSP)/SEND.
i.- PAN: control que ajusta la imagen estéreo en la mezcla final.
j.- MUTE: botón que permite anular el envío de este canal que se envía al bus de envío
SEND o al procesador de efectos integrado FX (DSP).
k.- CLIP: indicador luminoso que se enciende cuando el nivel de la señal de entrada es
demasiado elevado. En este caso disminuya el nivel de la entrada mediante control
GAIN hasta que el indicador luminoso se apague o se encienda ocasionalmente.

independiente, conectores 2 x jack 6’3 mm balanceado. Si sólo inserta el conector L, el audio
recibido por el mezclador se distribuirá por L y R de la salida MAIN MIX; si conecta ambos canales
de la entrada RETURN, L y R, cada canal irá a su respectiva salida L o R de la salida MAIN MIX.
b.- SEND: salida de nivel de línea con control de volumen independiente, conector jack 6’3 mm. Esta
salida recibirá señal de los canales que tengan el selector FX (DSP)/SEND pulsado. Conecte esta
salida a un procesador de efectos externo y la señal de salida de este volverá al mezclador por la
entrada RETURN.
c.- PHONES : salida de auriculares para monitorización, conector jack 6’3 mm estéreo.
d.- MAIN MIX: salidas de nivel de línea del bus de mezcla principal MAIN MIX, conectores 2 x RCA,
2 x jack 6’3 mm y 2 x XLR.

b.- PROGRAM - FX (DSP): control giratorio para la selección de efectos. Gire el control hasta que la
pantalla muestre el efecto que desee y pulse el mismo control para aplicarlo. Por último, regule la
cantidad de efecto desde el control PARAMETER y su volumen con el control deslizante FX (DSP).
Esta salida recibirá señal de los canales que tengan el selector FX (DSP)/SEND sin pulsar. Los 16
efectos disponibles son los siguientes:

h.- FX (DSP): control deslizante de volumen de la salida del procesador de efectos integrado.
i.- PLAYER: control deslizante de volumen del reproductor a la mezcla final MAIN MIX.
j.- MAIN MIX (L-R): controles deslizantes de volumen de los canales izquierdo (L) y derecho (R) de
la mezcla final MAIN MIX.
k.- RETURN VOL: control de volumen de la entrada RETURN.
l.- PHONES VOL: control de volumen de la salida de monitorización PHONES .
m.- Indicadores luminosos de los canales izquierdo (L) y derecho (R) del nivel de señal de la salida
MAIN MIX (dB). Un nivel de señal adecuado hará que se enciendan los indicadores de color verde,
y los amarillos de forma puntual. Si los indicadores amarillos se encienden de forma prolongada
deberá reducir el nivel de señal de salida. Los indicadores rojos no deberían encenderse, si esto
sucede deberá reducir el nivel de señal de salida para evitar daños en los equipos.
n.- PHANTOM +48V: alimentación phantom de los conectores XLR de los canales de entrada. Deberá
de activarse cuando el micrófono que se conecte sea de condensador.
o.- PHANTOM +48V: indicador luminoso de activación de la alimentación phantom.
p.- REC: botón para iniciar una grabación o la reproducción de archivos grabados.
GRABACIÓN DE AUDIO: con el modo REC seleccionado pulse el control giratorio ( ) para
comenzar a grabar y el contador de la pantalla comenzará a aumentar indicando que esta se ha
iniciado. Pulse el control giratorio ( ) para pausar la grabación o realice una pulsación larga del
botón REC para terminar la grabación. Cuando termine una grabación se iniciará el reproductor
de los archivos grabados en modo pausa. Controle la reproducción de estas grabaciones con el
control giratorio del reproductor:
- : gire en sentido antihorario para pasar a la grabación anterior.
- : gire en sentido horario para pasar a la grabación siguiente.
- : pulse el control para iniciar o pausar la reproducción de las grabaciones.
q.- MODE: una pulsación corta permite cambiar de modo en el reproductor.
r.- Controles del reproductor integrado:
- : gire en sentido antihorario para pasar a la canción anterior.
- : gire en sentido horario para pasar a la canción siguiente.
- : pulse el control para iniciar o pausar la reproducción.
s.- Puerto USB para la reproducción de archivos de audio de un dispositivo USB o la conexión por
cable a un PC.
CONEXIÓN CON PC: al conectar un cable USB desde este puerto a un PC, el PC detectará el
mezclador como dispositivo de entrada y salida. Es decir, podrá enviar audio al canal PLAYER y
recibir el audio MAIN MIX en el PC siempre que tenga que tenga seleccionado el modo PC en el
reproductor.

CONEXIÓN
- Antes de realizar cualquier conexión asegúrese que todos los aparatos están apagados y desconectados
de la alimentación.
- Compruebe que todos los controles de volumen de cada entrada y de la salida MAIN MIX están al mínimo.
- Conecte los equipos deseados a los canales de entrada.
- Si desea utilizar el reproductor, seleccione el modo que desee y con posterioridad regule su volumen.
- Conecte la salida MAIN MIX a una entrada de nivel de línea de una etapa de potencia.
- Conecte los equipos a la alimentación. Encienda los equipos en este orden: equipos periféricos, seguidos
del mezclador MIX-8PRO y, en último lugar, la etapa de potencia (si fuera necesaria).
- Ajuste la ganancia de cada canal visualizando el indicador CLIP del canal.
- Ajuste el volumen de cada canal de entrada con los controles deslizantes volumen.
- Ajuste el volumen FX (DSP)/SEND de cada canal si es necesario.
- Ajuste el volumen de los efectos FX (DSP) y/o del bus de salida SEND y de la entrada RETURN si es
necesario.
- Ajuste el nivel de salida del bus de mezcla principal MAIN MIX con su control de volumen.
