Insert two Button Head Bolts, M8 Half Nuts
assemblies into the Combined Slat
as shown. Slide them to the center of the
Combined Slat making sure that the
Schnorr Washer is above the T-slot Channel.
Ensure that your Slimline II Tray is upside
down. Check by looking at the product
sticker. It should be upside down as shown.

Now that your Slimline II Tray is assembled, get your Rack Kit Installation Guide out and follow the instructions
FRONT RUNNER RACKS AND ACCESSORIES ARE HAPPIEST COVERED IN MUD
But in order to maintain full functionality of the rack slots and any moving parts, you may want to give
your gear a bath now and again.
It's easy! Take care of your Front Runner gear the same way you do the exterior of your vehicle:
WHETHER YOU LIKE TO ROLL DIRTY OR CLEAN, YOUR FRONT RUNNER GEAR WILL GIVE YOU MANY YEARS OF SERVICE!
Rinse with clean water and wipe down with a soft dry cloth. For stubborn spots, use a soft brush and mild soap.
In salty coastal climates, or snowy regions where salt is used to clear roadways, applying a silicone based oil
or spray to nuts and bolts will help prevent corrosion.
If you really want to baby your gear, feel free to lightly wax the surfaces or use a protective spray with UV
inhibitors. Just be sure not to use compound waxes that contain abrasives.

Before you begin, take a moment and open all your Front Runner rack kit boxes and gather the assembly instructions for the various components.
A complete kit will contain:
1. A Front Runner Mounting System specific to your vehicle
2. A Front Runner Rack Tray or Load Bar Slats
This document will guide you through the assembly of the mounting system and assist you in fitting the roof rack tray or load bars to your specific
vehicle.

Remove the canopie's roof rails if fitted. Determine the best possible position for mounting the tracks.
Take care not to drill into or through any reinforcements.
FIT AND SECURE

Fit and secure the tracks with a
combination of Items 1/2, 6, 7, 8 & 10.
Depending on the thickness of the
material you are bolting through you can
use either M6x20 Button Head or M6x30
Button Head (Items 1 or 2). The bolt
needs to go through the
Nyloc Nut (Item 8).
Install the End-Caps and Protecive Trim
(Items 4 & 5) before you do the final
fitment of the tracks.
Check that all the fasteners are fully
tightened.
Place M6 nut caps (item 9) on all the M6
Nyloc Nuts (item 8) to finish of the
fitment .

Once you are happy with the placement of the track, mark all the holes using a suitable marking pen.
2.4
Drill a 4mm pilot hole on all the marks you have made. If you are using the M6 Nyloc nuts (Item 8) for
the fitment, open the pilot holes to 6.5mm. Always take care when drilling.

Measure and trim the tracks to the desired length.

Apply a bead of suitable sealant to each hole drilled in step 2.4.

When using the Clinch Nuts (item 10) you will need a Clinch nut Tool to crimp and secure the Clinch
nuts.
Should any of the mount points be inaccessible to use nuts, open the hole to 9.5mm and use
the Clinch Nut (Item 10). ONLY TO BE USED WITH METAL CANOPY / CAPS AND TRAILER TOPS.

Before fitting the Feet to the rack, remove
the Stud Plates (Item 3).
Refer to Figure 1.1.
Loosely fit the Feet to the Rack using
M8 x 16 x 1.6SS Flat Washers and M8 Nyloc
Nuts (Items 6 & 7) as shown.
The fasteners will be fully tightened after
the rack has been fitted to the vehicle.

While your Rack is flipped make sure that
the wind deflector is installed on the
first slat.
Place your Front Runner Roof Rack onto
your vehicle and find the best position.
The Rack should sit level to the ground, not
the vehicles roof line. Or slanting slightly
down toward the front.
Find the best position for the Feet, using the
first or second Slat.
Flip the Rack so that the bottom of the
Rack faces up. Insert two M8 x 16 Hex Bolts
(Item 4) into the Slats machined slots that
you have identified.

With the help of a friend, flip the Rack right
side up.
Lower the Rack onto the tracks while
aligning the Feet with the Stud Plates in the
Tracks.
Loosely secure the Feet to the track using
M8 x 16 x 1.6SS Flat Washers and M8 Nyloc
Nuts (Items 6 & 7).

Before tightening the Feet to the tracks,
position the Rack so that it sits level to the
ground, not the vehicles roof line, or
slanting slightly down toward the front.
First tighten the Feet to the tracks, then
center the rack left to right and
fully tighten the fasteners from 2.3.
Lastly set the height and fully tighten the
M8 x 16 Button Head Bolts and M8 Nyloc
Nuts (Items 5 & 7).
Check clearance with sunroof operation and
any accessories fitted.
25mm clearance is needed between roof and
table bracket, if fitted.
Place M8 Nut Caps (Item 8) over all of the
Nyloc Nuts.
Before placing the Rack onto the vehicle,
slide the Stud Plates (Item 3) removed in
2.3 into the track.
