操作手順
眼幅を合わせる
A
接眼部の目当てに両眼を軽く当てて覗いて
下さい。メガネをかけたまま覗く場合は、折
り返し式目当てを外側に引っ張るように折り
返します。
B
左右の視野が円形に重なって一つの円に
なるように、中心軸を真ん中にして左右の
鏡体を折りたたむように、ゆっくり狭めたり
拡げたりして眼幅を調整して下さい。
（一度調整が終われば、このときの眼幅目盛値を記憶しておき、次回の使用時は目
盛値を合わせるだけで調整不要です ）
※
眼幅調整時は、本体に無理な力を加えないで下さい。
ピントを合わせる
A
片眼あるいは両眼が遠視または近視の方
は、片方ずつ遠方の物が鮮明に見えるよう
にピント調整します。
B A 以外の方は、左右接眼部の視度調整環
の目盛を 0に合わせれば、遠方の物をすぐ
に鮮明に見ることができます。
C
目標物までの距離を変えた場合、ピントを
片眼ずつ合わせ直して下さい。
三脚の取り付け方
A
双眼鏡を三脚に取り付けるときは、三脚ネジ穴キャップを左に回して外します。
B
三脚ネジ穴には、三脚取り付けアダプターを介して取り付けて下さい。

コンパスの使い方 （7X50 MTRC-SX/FMTRC-SX のみ）
コンパス付きの 7X50 MTRC-SX とFMTRC-SX には、図に示す
ようなスケールが組み込まれています。
遠距離目標物に合わせ視度調整すると、視野（左側）にスケール
が明瞭に現れます。上部は距離または目標物の大きさの測定用、
下部は目標物の方位測定用です。
スケールは「ミル」という単位を使用しています。 1ミルは、
1000m の距離にある 1m の大きさの物体を見込む角度に相当し
ます。
これらの双眼鏡には、1目盛 5ミル刻みで垂直方向に 70 ミル、
水平方向に 80 ミルまでスケールが刻まれています。

距離を測るには
距離を測る場合には目標物の大きさが、あらかじめ
分かっていなければなりません。

目標物の方位を測るには
まず、船首方向を見たときに表示された数字と、目標物
を見たときに表示された数字の差を読むことで目標物に
対して現在の進行方向を知ることができます。
（双眼鏡をほぼ水平に保ちながら、目標物を垂直スケール
に合わせ、このときの方位を直読して下さい。）
（例）
船首方向を見たとき 210°
ブイを見たとき 240°
現在の進行方向＝ブイに対して左 30°
※双眼鏡を傾けて使用すると、正しく測れない場合があります。
手入れと保存
レンズ面の汚れ
レンズに付いた汚れや指紋は見え味を著しく低下させたり、焼き付いて後日手入れをして
も取れなくなる場合もあります。汚れたらその都度、ホコリは柔らかい油気のないハケ
で 払うようにして 取り除 き、 汚 れや 指 紋 は柔らか い 清 潔 な 布に少 量 のア ルコ ー ルをしみ 込
ませて、レンズの中心から外周方向に円を描くように軽く拭いて下さい。
鏡体（本体）の汚れ
本体外側に汚れや水滴等が付いた場合は、柔らかい布で拭き取り、十分乾燥させてから
ケースに収納して下さい。
保管
本製品は、＋ 50℃〜− 20℃で使用できる双眼鏡ですが、夏場および冬場の自動車の
ダッシュボードなど、特に高温または低温になる場所には保管しないで下さい。
長期間ご使用にならない場合は、乾燥した涼しい場所に保管するようにして下さい。

CAUTION! Not adhering to these instructions and handling the product not as
instructed may lead to bodily injury. Property damage may also occur if not

• Never use the binoculars to look at the sun. Doing so could
cause blindness.
• Do not drop or strike the product or expose it to ame or heat. Failure to ob-
serve this precaution could cause the casing to rupture.
• Do not place the product on unstable surfaces. Injury could result if the prod-
uct tips or falls.
• Do not use the product while walking. Failure to observe this precaution
could result in collisions, falls, or injury.
• Operators could pinch their ngers when adjusting eye width. Observe cau-
tion when allowing small children to use the product.
• Do not leave the product in direct sunlight. Failure to observe this precaution
could result in re.
• Deterioration of the eyecups as the result of prolonged use could cause in-
ammation of the skin. Consult a physician should experience symptoms that
could be the result of inammation.
• Do not swing the binoculars by the neck strap; the binoculars might strike
and injure someone or be damaged by hitting a solid object.

Using the Binoculars
Adjusting the Interpupillary Distance
A
Look through the binoculars with the
rubber eyecups resting lightly against
both eyes. If you wear glasses, fold the
eyecups back toward the binoculars.
B
Adjust the interpupillary distance (the
distance between the two eyepieces)
by slowly moving the barrels together
or apart around the central hinge until
you see a single, perfectly round image.
Noting the distance shown on the interpupillary scale lets you quickly re-
store the binoculars to the desired position the next time you use them.
Note: Never use excessive force when adjusting the interpupillary distance.
Adjusting Focus
A
If you are far- or near-sighted in one or
both eyes, look through the binoculars
with each eye and adjust diopter until
distant objects are in clear focus.
B
If you are neither far- nor near-sighted in
either eye, distant objects should appear
in focus when the diopter adjustment
rings for both eyepieces are set to 0.
C
Adjust focus for each eye separately as the working distance (the distance to
the object being observed) changes.
Attaching Tripod
A
Before mounting the binoculars on a tripod, remove the cap from the tripod
attachment screw by rotating it to the left.
B
Attach a tripod adapter to the tripod attachment screw hole and mount the
assembly on the tripod.

Using the Compass (7X50 MTRC-SX / FMTRC-SX only)
Compasses include a scale as shown in the diagram. Focus
on a far object and the scale will appear clear in the eld of
view (left side). The scale located on the top half of the eld
of view measures distance or the size of the object; the com-
pass reading located on the bottom half of the eld of view,
indicates the direction in which the object is facing. Scale is
measured in units called “mil”. One mil is equal to the angle
needed to view a 1-meter object at a distance of 1000 me-
ters. The binoculars feature a scale of up to 70 mils vertically
and 80 mils horizontally, at intervals of 5 mils.

Reading the Scale
Measuring Distance
In order to measure distances, it is necessary to
know the size of the object.
Distance = Object size × 1000
Scale reading
Example:
Object size: 10 m
Scale reading: 50 mils
Distance A = 10 ÷ 50 × 1000 = 200 m
Calculating Object Size
In order to measure size, it is necessary to know the distance to the object.
Object size = Distance × Scale reading
1000
Example:
Distance: 200 m
Scale reading: 50 mils
Object size = 200 × 50 ÷ 1000 = 10 m

Calculating Object Direction
First, read the number displayed when looking in the
direction of the bow, then the number when looking
in the direction of the object; this gives the direction
of travel in relation to the object.
(Keep the binoculars horizontal and adjust the object
to the vertical scale).
Example:
When looking in direction of bow: 210°
When looking at buoy: 240°
Direction of travel: 30° in relation to the buoy
Note: The binoculars may fail to measure the heading correctly while tilted.
Maintenance and Storage
Cleaning the Lenses
Dirt and ngerprints on the surface of the lenses diminish visibility considerably,
and, in the event that they are “baked on” by sunlight and left for days without
treatment, can become permanent. When the lenses are soiled, remove dust with
a soft, dry brush, and wipe dirt and ngerprints o with a small amount of alco-
hol soaked into a soft, clean cloth. Wipe using a circular motion, from the center
outwards.
Cleaning the Body
If the outer surface of the binocular becomes soiled or wet, wipe with a dry cloth,
be sure the binoculars are completely dry before replacing them in the case. When
the binoculars are used in a salt-air/ocean environment, they should be rinsed in
fresh water before being stowed away.
Storage
The binocular can be used in temperatures between -20°C and +50°C. However,
never leave the binocular in particularly hot or cold places, such as cars, summer
or winter. When not using the binocular for any considerable length of time, store
it in a cool dry place.

Other Precautions for Use
Do not store in a location with drastic temperature irregularities.
• Store in a well ventilated location, avoiding high temperature & high moisture
locations.
• Do not store near an electronic device that heats up. It may cause the product
to fail.
• Remove dirt and dust from the lens with a low powered air compression de-
vice, and wipe gently with a cleaning cloth.
