Welcome to the new GBC 5000L
laminator which allows lamination
to be completed quickly and
simply with GBC quality
lamination output. Perfect for
novice users choosing automatic
self setting to expert users with
multiple pouch thicknesses and
document sizes.
For best lamination results and
performance, use only GBC
branded pouches.
Please take a little time to study
these instructions to ensure
you get the best results out of
your machine.
• Use this unit only for its
intended use of laminating
documents
• Only use 75mic, 125mic,
175mic or 250mic pouches
with this laminator
• Do not laminate an empty
pouch
• The unit must be
connected to a supply
voltage corresponding to
the electrical rating
shown on the unit
• The socket-outlet
shall be installed near the
equipment and shall be
easily accessible
• Ensure the machine is
clear of pouches prior to
starting the next pouch
• Clean the lamination
rollers on a regular basis

yourself. Unplug the unit
and contact an authorised
GBC service representative
for any required repairs.
Getting Ready to Laminate
Easy Set Up
1. Remove the plastic exit tray
from the box and place into the
two holes on the back of the
laminator and extend to use.
Ensure that there is sufficient
space behind the laminator for the
item to be removed
2. Take the electrical plug and
place in an appropriate power
source, which is near the table you
intend to use.
3. The laminator will briefly flash
the GBC logo on the control panel
and will make an audible beep.
Interactive User Display
1. To use the laminator gently tap
the ‘power on’ button. A sequence
of lights will cross the control panel.
NOTE: Your new laminator may emit a
slight odour during the initial operation. It is
normal and will diminish after a few hours
of operation.
5. If 75mic is not the pouch
thickness you want to select,
using the arrows scroll until the
required pouch thickness setting
is shown and press “Enter”.

Before laminating
important or unique
documents, always run
a test pouch through the
laminator using a similar
type document.
Loading the Pouch
Laminating
1. Take your item to be laminated
and place in to the appropriate
sized laminating pouch, ensuring
it is firmly located along the sealed
edge. This is to help ensure that
you get optimal quality output.
NOTE: Do not cut pouches prior to
lamination.
1. On the front of the laminator
there are adjustable guides to help
you feed your pouch accurately.
Move the guides to appropriate
line which matches your pouch/
item to be laminated.
2. Feed the sealed edge of the
pouch, into the laminator between
the guides. The laminator will grip
the pouch and guide it through to
the exit tray.
NOTE: Do not force guides against pouch

6. Using the ‘Auto’ setting allows
the user to use any thickness of
pouch and the laminator will
automatically measure the
thickness of the pouch and
document and self set to the
appropriate speed.
NOTE: During warm up a circle will be
formed on the control panel and a red
indicator will flash in the centre of the circle
until ready ( ). When ready a series of
three beeps are heard and the ( ) will
show on the display. The machine will not
take any pouch during warm up.

4. When you are finished
laminating tap the ‘power’ button
and if equired remove the tray,
unplug and store accordingly.
NOTE: On Power Off there will continue to
be a noise emitted from the unit for
approximately 30 senconds this is for
cooling purposes
Upon exiting remove your
laminated item immediately
and lay on a flat surface to
ensure optimal quality.
Intelligent Power Off
For added safety and
environmental reasons the
laminator will automatically go
into sleep mode after 30 minutes
of inactivity. You will hear a single
beep before this occurs.
Cleaning
Guarantee
WARNING:UNPLUG THIS
PRODUCT BEFORE
CLEANING THE EXTERIOR. WIPE
EXTERIOR ONLY WITH A DAMP
CLOTH AND DO NOT USE
DETERGENTS OR SOLVENTS.
Regularly feed a cleaning card or
sheet of paper through the laminator
to clean the rollers. Cleaning sheet
order code: EK50000.
Operation of this machine is guaranteed for
two years from date of purchase, subject
to normal use. Within the guarantee period,
ACCO Brands Europe will at its own
discretion either repair or replace the
defective machine free of charge. Defects
due to misuse or use for inappropriate
purposes are not covered under the
guarantee. Proof of date of purchase will
be required. Repairs or alterations made by
persons not authorised by ACCO Brands
Europe will invalidate the guarantee. It is
our aim to ensure that our products erform
to the specifications stated. This guarantee
does not affect the legal rights which
consumers have under applicable national
legislation governing the sale of goods.
Additional Features
Intelligent Status Alert
If pouch misfeeds or jam starts
to occur a series of beeps will be
heard - and the laminator will
automatically reverse the
document out ( ).
NOTE: Never reuse a misfed or jammed
pouch
Intelligent Pouch Reverse
To recover a partially fed pouch
press and hold the “Reverse”
( << ) button and the pouch will be
quickly reversed out of the
laminator. You will hear a series of
single beeps until Reverse button
( << ) is released.
NOTE: Do not put partially laminated items
back into the laminator.

品牌的塑封膜。为确保机器的最佳
工作效果，请先花点时间阅读本使
用说明。

塑封前的准备
放入塑封膜
简便设置
1. 从包装箱取出塑料纸托架，对准
机器后部的两个安装孔位，将纸托
架安装在机器上。请确保机器后部
有足够的空间以便取走塑封成品。
2. 请将电源插头插在一个就近的插
座上，并确保电源电压符合要求。
3. 控制面板上的GBC logo会闪烁
几下，机器发出哔哔声。
人机互动界面
4. 轻按电源开关‘power on’，
控制面板上的灯会依次亮起。
注意：新机在最初使用时可能会有一点气
味，这是正常的现象，气味会在机器使用
数小时后消失。
5. 如果预备要塑封的胶膜厚度不是
75mic，请按箭头按键选择您所需
要的厚度并按“Enter”确认。
1. 将文件用塑封膜装好：上下方向
同塑封膜的封边齐平，左右方向同
塑封膜的两端对齐。这将有助于取
得最佳塑封效果。

6. 选择自动‘Auto’ 设置即可使
用允许范围内任意厚度的塑封膜，
机器会自动检测塑封膜和文件的厚
度，并自动调节至合适的塑封速
度。
注意：机器完成预热之前，控制面板会显
示一个圆圈，圆圈内有红色指示灯闪烁
( )。机器完成预热之后，您会听到三声
连续的哔哔声，控制面板显示该标志 ( )
。机器只有在完成预热之后才会开始工作。
注意：塑封前请勿裁剪塑封膜。
在塑封重要文件之前，请用类似尺寸
/材质的文件先试机。

开始塑封
1. 塑封入口处的可调节导轨可以
协助您放入符合规格尺寸的塑封文
件。调节导轨至相应的刻度线，以
匹配您将要塑封的尺寸。
2. 放入塑封膜时，请确保塑封膜的
封边在前。塑封机将完成剩下的塑
封步骤。
注意：请勿用导轨挤压塑封膜。
3. 请勿使导轨紧贴塑封膜。请调节
导轨位置以确保塑封过程中，塑封
膜与导轨之间不发生接触。
4. 如果不再塑封，请轻按电源开
关‘power’。如有必要还可以把
纸托架拆下，拔下电源插头，然后
再妥善放置机器。
一待机器完成塑封，请将塑
封品拿出并放置于平坦的表
面，这样可以取得最佳塑封
效果。
注意：关闭电源后，机器在约30秒内会持
其它功能
智能状态提示
如果塑封膜放入不当或者发生堵
卡，机器会发出连续的哔哔声并
自动将文件自塑封入口反转出来
( )。
注意：请勿重复使用放入不当或发生过堵
卡的塑封膜。
智能反转
机器开始塑封后如需中断，请按住
反转键 “Reverse” (<<)，塑封
膜将从塑封入口被快速退回。除非
松开反转键，机器会一直发出哔哔
声。
注意：请勿将已部分塑封的文件重新塑封。
续有声音传出，这是设定的冷却程序。
智能关机
为增强安全性和环保性，机
器在闲置30分钟后将自动
进入休眠模式。机器进入休
眠模式时，您会听到一声哔
哔。

Accurate Feed Guides

清理清洁
警告：清洁塑封机外壳前，
请务必先拔掉塑封机的电源
插头。仅可使用湿布擦拭外
壳，请勿使用洗涤剂或其它
溶剂。
请定期使用一张清洁卡片
或者一张白纸，模拟塑
封过程，以达到清理辊轮
的目的。清洁卡产品代
码：EK50000。
产品保修
本机在正常使用的前提下，自购
买之日起，保修一年。在保修期
内，ACCO品牌公司将自行决定
或是维修机器或是免费换新。因错
误操作或不当应用而造成的质量
问题不在此保修范围内。保修时
需要出具购买日期的证明。未经
ACCO授权的售后人员对本产品
的维修或改装将导致产品保修条款
的失效。我们的目标是确保我们产
品的使用效果与规格参数相符。本
保修条款不与符合法规的消费者合
法权益相冲突。

IMPORTANT: Certificate of Warranty must be produced together with proof of

service. All services provided after warranty period will be chargeable.
Terms and conditions
ACCO Brands Asia hereby certify that all machines of whatever designs are free from any
defects in materials and in workmanship under normal use and service for twelve (12) months
from date of purchase. Should any defects occur within the aforesaid period, ACCO Brands Asia
shall at their absolute discretion, effect repairs or replacement of any part of the said machine
free of costs.
1. This warranty shall not be transferable, negotiable or assignable to any third party.
2. This warranty shall be considered VOID under the following circumstances:
a. The serial number of the machine has been altered or removed.
b. The machine has been subjected to misuse, accident, and negligence.
c. The machine has not been installed, maintained or operated in accordance with the
instructions given in the instruction manual.
d. The machine has undergone repairs, adjustments or corrections made to it by
unauthorised person.
e. The machine has been dismantled by unauthorised person.
3. This warranty is applicable only in Singapore.
4. This warranty shall exclude all faults/defects caused by natural wear and tear.
5. This warranty shall exclude all other warranties & guarantees, expressed or implied other
than mentioned above.
6. No notices will be given on expiry of this warranty. ACCO Brands Asia reserves the rights to
amend or modify the terms and conditions of this warranty without giving any prior notice.
