UV lamp exchange
This instruction is valid for the Hg and Zn lamps.
WARNING! The UV monitor uses high-intensity, ultra violet light. To prevent
injury to eyes disconnect the power to the monitor before removing the UV lamp.
Preparations
1. Turn off the main power to the instrument.
2. Disconnect the UV lamp power cable from the instrument.
3. Remove the UV monitor unit from the instrument.
Installing the UV Hg lamp
1. On the lamp housing, remove the two screws on the end plate that is attached to
the power cable.

2. Slide the old lamp out of the lamp housing.
3. Insert the new lamp into the lamp housing.
CAUTION! Do not touch the lamp with bare hands. Use a clean cloth.
4. Assemble the lamp and the washer so that the holes for the screws are
visible.
Note! The Hg lamp function is independent of how the lamp is turned
because the light is equally strong in all directions.
5. Secure the end plate with the two screws.
Installing the UV Zn lamp
1. On the lamp housing, remove the two screws on the end plate that is
attached to the power cable.

2. Slide the old lamp out of the lamp housing.
3. Insert the new lamp into the lamp housing.
CAUTION! Do not touch the lamp with bare hands. Use a clean cloth.
4. Assemble the Zn lamp with the text ”Max Output Port” on the glass
facing the optical unit.
5. Secure the end plate with the two screws.
Connecting the UV lamp
1. Assemble the UV monitor unit on the instrument.
2. Connect the UV lamp power cable to the instrument.
Handling waste
This symbol indicates that the waste of electrical and electronic
equipment must not be disposed as unsorted municipal waste and must
be collected separately. Please contact an authorized representative of
the manufacturer for information concerning the decommissioning of your
equipment.
