Il termometro senza mercurio è un dispositivo per la misurazione della temperatura corporea, indicato per misurazioni
sotto la lingua, sotto l’ascella o nel retto.
l prodotto è conforme con la direttiva EN12470-1:2000+A1:2009 riguardante i termometri clinici a dilatazione di liqui-
do metallico in vetro con dispositivo di massimo.
1. Prescrizioni per l’uso: il campo di misurazione della temperatura dovrebbe essere compreso tra 35°C e 42°C e la
temperatura ambientale dovrebbe essere compresa tra 20°C e 30°C; nel caso il termometro venga conservato in
un luogo in cui la temperatura è inferiore a 20°C, si prega di lasciare lo stesso prima dell’utilizzo a una temperatura
tra 20°C e 30°C per almeno 1-2 ore oppure tra i 30°C e 35°C per dieci minuti.
2. La temperatura di conservazione e trasporto deve essere inferiore a 42°C.
3. Condizioni di conservazione del termometro: dopo aver utilizzato il termometro si consiglia di riportare la tempera-
tura dello stesso ai valori iniziali (al di sotto della scala graduata ) tramite dei movimenti oscillatori del polso.
Si prega inoltre di pulire il termometro con disinfettanti medicali e di riporlo nell’astuccio per evitare qualsiasi dan-
no.
Si prega di seguire la procedura seguente
per abbassare il liquido del termometro:
1. Inserire il termometro nello shaker e avvitare
saldamente il tappo.
2. Tenere le due ali dello shaker con il pollice e l’indice.
3. Agitare lo shaker (vedi foto a destra).
Modalità d’uso
1. Il liquido contenuto nella colonna deve scendere al di sotto della scala graduata prima dell’uso, poi pulire e steriliz-
zare il termometro clinico con disinfettanti medicali.
2. In caso di misurazioni per via orale posizionare il termometro sotto la lingua in una posizione stabile e ben a con-
tatto con la mucosa e indicare al paziente di chiudere saldamente la bocca.
3. In caso di misurazioni rettali si raccomanda di applicare un agente lubricante al termometro prima del suo inseri-
mento.
4. In caso di misurazioni ascellari occorre posizionare il termometro al centro dell’ascella e tenere il braccio appog-
giato al torace in modo che l’ascella resti chiusa.
Si prega di leggere la misurazione dopo circa 5 minuti. Si raccomanda di seguire la procedura descritta sopra.
Avvertenze
1. Non è consigliabile effettuare misurazioni per via orale su bambini di età inferiore ai 10 anni.
2. Avvertire il paziente di non masticare, parlare o muoversi quando il termometro clinico è posizionato sotto la lingua.
3. In caso di misurazioni rettali inserire delicatamente il termometro per circa 2 cm.
4. Si raccomanda di non mangiare, fumare o fare il bagno no a 30 minuti prima della misurazione.
5. Il dispositivo non è adatto ad applicazioni speciche: (ad esempio termometri per bambini prematuri, termometri
per la misurazione della temperatura basale).
6. Vericare il corretto funzionamento del termometro una volta all’anno.
Smaltimento del termometro clinico
Il liquido metallico è una lega composta da gallio, indio e stagno. Questo termometro clinico deve essere maneggiato
con cura. In particolare, si deve prestare attenzione a non far cadere lo strumento o a trattarlo in alcun modo che
potrebbe provocare danni. Quando i termometri clinici sono rotti, pulire il liquido metallico con un panno inumidito
da acqua e sapone.

Mercury free clinical thermometer is a kind of measuring device for patient’s temperature, and it can be used to meas-
ure the temperature of patient’s mouth or armpit or anus.
The product is in compliance with EN12470-1:2000+A1:2009, Clinical thermometers - Part 1:Metallic liquid-in glass
thermometers with maximum device.
1. The conditions of use: measuring temperature range should be between 35°C to 42°C, and the environment tem-
perature should be 20°C to 30°C; if the temperature for storage is less than 20°C, please put the thermometers in
the temperature 20°C to 30°C for at least 1-2 hours or 30°C to 35°C for ten minutes before use or test.
2. The temperature must be less than 42°C when it is stored and transported.
3. Storage of the thermometer: after use, swing the metallic liquid down.
Then clean it and put it in plastic case to avoid any damage.
Please make the liquid of thermometers down according to
following steps:
1. Put a thermometer into a shaker, and screw its cap tightly.
2. Hold two wings of the shaker by your thumb and forenger.
3 Shake the shaker (see picture on the right).
Operation procedures
1. The liquid column shall fall below the lowest numbered scale mark before use, then clean and sterilize the clinical
thermometer in medical alcohol.
2. Be careful to put it below the tongue of patients for oral clinical thermometer and tell them to close their mouth tightly.
3. A clinical thermometer for rectal use is applied some lubricator before inserting it in the anus.
4. Be careful to put it below the armpit of patients if measuring armpit position and tell them to tight it tightly.
Please read the number of the clinical thermometer about 5 minutes after above measuring steps.
Warning
1. It is not suitable to use oral clinical thermometers for not more than ten years’ children.
2. Warn patients against chewing, speaking and playing when the clinical thermometers are below the tongue of patients.
3. Need to let sick children lie quietly and help them to hold another end of the clinical thermometers for rectal use in
case it is inserted too deep, or it slips from the anus.
4. Avoid having a bath, eating or smoking half an hour before taking body temperature.
5. It is not designed for special applications (e.g. thermometers for premature babies, ovulation thermometers).
6. Inspect the clinical thermometer once a year.
e. Disposal of the Clinical thermometers.
The metallic liquid is an alloy consisting of gallium, indium and tin. this clinical thermometer should be handled with
care. In particular, care should be taken to avoid dropping the instrument or treating it in any way that could result in
damage. When the clinical thermometers are broken, cleaning split metallic liquid by a damp cloth with soap suds.
