between35.7°Cand37.3°C(96.3°Fand99.1°F).
b)Rectal Use:Lubricatesilverprobetipwithpetroleumjellyforeasyinsertion.Gently
insertsensorapproximatelylcm(lessthan1/2”)intorectum.Normaltemperature
between36.2°Cand37.7°C(97.2°Fand99.9°F).
c)Armpit Use:Wipearmpitdry.Placeprobeinarmpitandkeeparmpressedrmlyatside.Fromamedical
viewpoint,thismethodwillalwaysprovideinaccuratereadings,andshouldnotbeusedifprecise
measurementsarerequired.Normaltemperaturebetween35.2°Cand36.7°C(95.4°Fand98.1°F).
3.Thedegreesignashesthroughoutthetestingprocess.Whenashingstopsanalarmwillbeepfor
approximately10seconds.ThemeasuredreadingwillappearontheLCDsimultaneously.Theminimum
measurementtimeuntilthesignalingtone(beep)mustbemaintainedwithoutexception.Themeasurement
continuesevenafterthebuzzernotication.Thedisplayedtemperaturewillnotchangewhenthermometer
isremovedfromitstestingposition.
*Note: Normally the buzzes are “ Bi-Bi-Bi- Bi-” ; Alarm beeps more rapidly when temperature reaches
37.8°C (100°F) or higher ,and the buzzes are “Bi-Bi-Bi ------ Bi-Bi-Bi ------ Bi-Bi-Bi”
4.Toprolongbatterylife,presstheOn/OffButtontoturnunitoffaftertestingiscomplete.Ifnoactionistaken,
theunitwillautomaticallyshutoffafteraround10minutes.
5.Storethethermometerinitsprotectivecase.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1.Replacebatterywhen“”appearsinthelowerrightcornerofLCDdisplay.
2.PullbatterycoveroffasshowninFigure3.
3.Gentlypulloutplasticcircuitboardwithbatterychamberapproximately1cm(slightlylessthan1/2”.)

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Wipethethermometerwithasoftcleancloth.
Forstubbornstains,wipethethermometerwithacloththathasbeendampenedwithwateroraneutraldetergent
solutionandthenwringthoroughly.Finishbywipingwithasoftdrycloth.
Observethefollowingtopreventdamagetothethermometer.
- Donotusebenzene,thinner,gasolineorotherstrongsolventstocleanthethermometer.
- Donotsoakthesensingsectioninalcoholforlongperiodsoftimeorattempttosterilizeitusinghotwater
(wateratatemperatureof50°C(122°F)orhigher).
- Donotuseultrasonicwashingtocleanthethermometer.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Thethermometerisguaranteedforoneyearfromthedateofpurchase.Ifthethermometerdoesnotfunction
properlyduetodefectivecomponentsorpoorworkmanship,wewillrepairorreplaceitfreeofcharge.
Allcomponentsarecoveredbythiswarrantyexcludingthebattery.Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagestoyour
thermometerduetoimproperhandling.Toobtainwarrantyservice,anoriginalorcopyofthesalesreceiptfrom
theoriginalretailerisrequired.
Disposalofthisproductandusedbatteriesshouldbecarriedoutinaccordancewiththenational
regulationsforthedisposalofelectronicproducts.
