Thanks for purchasing the Ambassador turntable player from
GPO. This retro-themed unit adds a touch of classic style to
any room, while still providing amazing audio quality through
the built in speakers. To get the most from your new turntable
player, please read these instructions carefully before use, and
keep them in a safe place for future reference.
This package contains:
1x SW-196F Ambassador
1x Turntable Needle (fitted)
1x Turntable Slip Mat (placed on the turntable)
1x Blank USB Stick
1x DC Power Cable
1x Aux-in Cable

Carefully remove all of the contents from the packaging.
Make sure you retain and store this manual for future reference.
When choosing a location for the unit, avoid inclines, direct
sunlight or sources of heat and moisture.

Keep all of the ventilation holes clear, and do not place any
equipment on top of the unit as this can lead to damage.
Only remove the stylus guard from the stylus assembly during
use. Leaving the guard in place during storage will protect
your stylus from damage.

Turntable Mode
AUX-IN Play Mode
1. Turn on the unit power
2. Select Aux-in mode using the mode select button
3. Connect your chosen device to the unit’s aux-in jack using
the cable provided
4. Press the play/pause button to begin playback
5. Use the volume controls to set the desired sound levels
The Ambassador’s Bluetooth mode allows you to stream your vinyl
to any Bluetooth enabled speaker or headphones.

AUX-IN Play Mode

USB Play Mode
1. Turn on the unit power
2. Select USB mode using the mode select button
3. Connect your USB device to the unit using the USB slot
4. Press the play/pause button to begin playback
5. Use the volume controls to set the desired sound levels
6. To record from vinyl to your device, select USB record mode
7. Press record to begin recording
8. Press stop to cancel recording
1.Connect the small DC jack into the DC-IN port on the rear of
the unit.
2. Connect the plug to a mains outlet and turn the power
socket on.
3. Turn on the unit using the Power/Volume Control.
4. Use the mode select button until the LED indicator shows
that you have selected turntable mode:
5. Place your chosen vinyl record onto the turntable.
6. Set the correct speed (RPM) of your record using the RPM
Speed Control.
7. Move the tone arm to the desired starting point on the
record. The turntable will now start to play.
8. Auto-stop on, the turntable will start spinning when the arm
is moved towards the record, when the last track is finished
the turntable will stop spinning.
9. Adjust the volume to your preferred volume.
10. Auto-stop off, the turntable will start spinning as soon the
record play function is selected, when the last track is
finished the turntable will continue to spin until the unit is
switched off or until a different mode is selected, this
function is only required for certain 45 rpm records that are
pressed more towards the centre of the record.

Bluetooth Mode
The Ambassador’s Bluetooth mode allows you to stream your vinyl
to any Bluetooth enabled speaker or headphones.
1. Turn on the unit power
2. Select Bluetooth mode by holding the mode button down for
three seconds while in turntable, USB or Aux-in mode
3. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash rapidly as the unit
searches for nearby Bluetooth-enabled devices.
4. When paired the blue light will flash shortly with a three
second interval
5. If the devices fail to sync, please repeat points 1-4.
6. Use the volume controls to set the desired sound levels
7. Hold down the stop button for three seconds to turn off
Bluetooth mode and move straight to turntable mode
Please note: When pairing the Ambassador to your Bluetooth
speaker or headphones, please ensure that the device you wish to
stream vinyl to is set to pairing mode. This will allow them to sync.

An RCA cable is included with you GPO Ambassador, you will
require this cable to connect to extra speakers.
RCA Audio Out
The battery level indicator displays the current charge status of
the unit’s rechargeable battery.
While operating on mains power via the DC cable and jack, the
unit will automatically begin to charge the inbuilt battery. The
battery indicator light will indicate how the charging is
progressing:
Red: The unit needs to be charged
Green: The unit is charging
Blue: The unit has fully charged
Line Out
To use your Ambassador turntable with external speakers,
connect your speakers to the unit’s Aux-out jack.
Headphones Out
Headphones can be connected using the Aux-out jack.
Charging the Battery
The unit’s stylus will need replacing regularly.
To replace the stylus:
1. Push the arm lock to release the tone arm
2. Remove the cap from the cartridge to expose the needle
3. Carefully remove the cartridge from the socket
4. Completely remove the stylus needle from the cartridge
5. Carefully place a new stylus needle into the cartridge
6. Place the cartridge back into the socket
7. Put the cartridge cap back in place
8. Re-engage the arm lock
The turntable's stylus needs to be replaced every 3-4 months

Nehmen Sie den Inhalt vorsichtig aus der Verpackung.
Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung auf, damit Sie sie später
noch einmal lesen können. Achten Sie bei der Auswahl des
Standortes für das Gerät darauf, dass es eben steht und
keinem direkten Sonnenlicht, Wärmequellen oder Feuchtigkeit
ausgesetzt ist.

Plattenspielermodus
AUX-In-Wiedergabemodus
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2. Wählen Sie mit dem Moduswahlschalter den Modus AUX In aus.
3. Schließen Sie das gewünschte Gerät mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel an die
AUX-In-Buchse an.
4. Drücken Sie die Taste „Wiedergabe/Pause“, um die Wiedergabe zu
beginnen.
5. Stellen Sie mit dem Lautstärkeregler die gewünschte Lautstärke ein.
Mit dem Bluetooth-Modus des Ambassador können Sie Ihre Platten über

Plattenspielermodus
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2. Wählen Sie mit dem Moduswahlschalter den Plattenspielermodus aus.
3. Wählen Sie die korrekte Abspielgeschwindigkeit. Benutzen Sie falls nötig
den 45 UpM-Adapter und legen Sie die Schallplatte auf den Plattenspieler.
4. Bringen Sie den Tonarm in die gewünschte Position, um mit der
Wiedergabe zu beginnen.
5. Der Plattenspieler stoppt automatisch, wenn die Platte zu Ende ist, und
der Tonabnehmer kehrt automatisch in die Ausgangsposition zurück.
6. Stellen Sie mit dem Lautstärkeregler die gewünschte Lautstärke ein.
AUX-In-Wiedergabemodus
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2. Wählen Sie mit dem Moduswahlschalter den Modus AUX In aus.
3. Schließen Sie das gewünschte Gerät mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel an die
AUX-In-Buchse an.
4. Drücken Sie die Taste „Wiedergabe/Pause“, um die Wiedergabe zu
beginnen.
5. Stellen Sie mit dem Lautstärkeregler die gewünschte Lautstärke ein.
USB Wiedergabe Modus
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
2. Wählen Sie mit dem Moduswahlschalter den Modus USB aus.
3. Schließen Sie Ihr USB-Gerät an der USB-Buchse an.
4. Drücken Sie die Taste „Wiedergabe/Pause“, um die Wiedergabe zu
beginnen.
5. Stellen Sie mit dem Lautstärkeregler die gewünschte Lautstärke ein.
6. Um eine Platte auf Ihrem Gerät aufzunehmen, drücken Sie den
USB-Aufnahmemodus.
7. Drücken Sie auf Aufnahme, um die Aufnahme zu starten.
8. Drücken Sie auf die Stopptaste, um die Aufnahme abzubrechen.
1. Den kleinen Gleichstrom-Stecker in die Gleichstrom
Anschlussbuchse auf der Rückseite des Geräts einstecken.
2. Den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose stecken.
3. Das Gerät am Stromschalter / Lautstärkeregler einschalten.
4. Den Moduswahlschalter solange bedienen, bis die
LED-Leuchte anzeigt, dass der Plattenspielermodus eingestellt ist: 5.
Ihre gewünschte Schallplatte auf den Plattenteller legen.
6. Den Drehzahlwähler auf die für die Schallplatte korrekte Geschwind-
igkeit stellen.
7. Den Tonarm an der gewünschten Stelle auf der Schallplatte ablegen.
Der Plattenteller beginnt jetzt, zu rotieren.
8. Wenn die Autostopp-Funktion aktiviert ist, beginnt der Plattenspieler
zu rotieren, wenn der Tonarm zur Schallplatte hin bewegt wird; wenn
der letzte Titel abgespielt ist, hält der Plattenspieler an.
9. Lautstärke auf das gewünschte Niveau einstellen.
10. Wenn die Autostopp-Funktion deaktiviert ist, beginnt der Platten-
spieler zu rotieren, sobald der Plattenspielermodus eingestellt ist;
wenn der letzte Titel abgespielt ist, rotiert der Plattenspieler solange
weiter, bis das Gerät ausgeschaltet oder ein anderer Modus gewählt
wird. Diese Funktion ist nur bei bestimmten 45er-Schallplatten, die
mehr zur Mitte der Platte hin gepresst sind, erforderlich.
