Disc Brakes
Disc brakes are considered to perform better than standard v-brakes, especially in wet
conditions, our new GB500 model comes with front and rear disc brakes. Please note that brand new
disc brakes need “braking in”. This means it may take a few weeks until they perform optimally. Ride
your bike very carefully and allow plenty of time for braking.
Battery
Make sure that the round metal pin (K) of the battery lock needs to be aligned correctly with the
round opening in the metal bar. Push the battery down or lift the battery up to align the bolt with the
opening. If it’s not aligned correctly, the bolt will hit the silver metal bar and you will not be able to turn
the key.
K

UNLOCK - battery can be removed. You can charge the battery also when it’s not connecting to the
bike (push in and turn all the way counterclockwise).
OFF - battery locked into the frame. Power is off.
ON - battery locked into the frame (turn all the way clockwise). You can turn on the bike.
Only at OFF position you can take out the key from the battery.
Attention: always turn the key gently, if you are using force, you are doing something wrong and you
can break the key.
Removing the battery is super easy, you just need to push up the battery quick release (L) to fold the
seat. Now you can take out the battery (key is in UNLOCK position).

Charging the Battery
Green Bike USA Electric Bikes are equipped with quality
Lithium batteries. Lithium batteries are a modern technology
which is not suffering from memory effects like some older
battery types, which means that Lithium batteries can be
charged anytime, this will not reduce the battery life. To charge
the battery, move the Cover (M) gently to the side, connect the
charger to a power point and then connect the charger to the
battery. The chargers are smart chargers, which means they will
automatically stop charging when the battery is full. The charger
has light indicator. If it’s RED, it means it’s charging the battery.
If it’s GREEN, it means the battery is fully charged.
The battery takes about 3 hours to charge if it’s completely
discharged. If it’s not fully discharge, it will take less time to
charge. It is recommended to switch the battery OFF while
charging.
Checking the Battery
In order to check the battery charge, you need to switch the battery to ON with the key.
once the battery is switched ON, there are two ways to check the battery charge: hold down your
finger on the white button on top of the battery (the battery doesn't need to be in the bike). If the
battery is fully charged, there will be two green lights and one red light on the battery display (N)
(on top of the battery). If the battery not fully charged, there will be only one green light. If you
see only the red light, then you need to charge your battery.

N

Another way to check how much power left in the battery is by turning on the LCD display (battery
assembled and turned ON) by pressing on Mode (O), the battery picture (P) will indicate how much
you have left (don't use the throttle when you check your battery, if you do it will not give you the right
reading).
Battery Care & Storage
Lithium batteries should not be stored if fully discharged. If your battery is fully discharged, charge
it as soon as possible. Storing the battery if fully discharged for long periods will damage the battery. It
is recommended to store the batteries fully charged and then charge it every two months. Do not leave
the charger connected to the battery if stored for long periods.

Servicing the Bike
Very important to check your tires pressure once a week, we recommend 50 psi.
Also you need to keep the bike lubricant specially if you are going to leave them outside.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to have the bike serviced by your
local bike shop after assembling it to make sure it's safe to ride.
It is recommended to service the bike regularly like a regular bike every 1000
Mile or at least once a year and have the spokes adjusted at each service. The electric
parts don't need to be serviced, therefore servicing can be done at a regular bike
shop.
