Introduction
T ank for c oosing a Wisper electric bicycle.
By making t e decision to use an electric bike you are elping to safeguard our
environment by saving our planet’s precious resources and reducing carbon pollution.
Before you use your Wisper bike it is important t at you read t is manual carefully. If
t ere is anyt ing you do not understand completely please contact your retailer.
Please observe traffic regulations, and don’t lend your bicycle to anyone w o is
unfamiliar wit it. T e bicycle can only legally be used on t e road by a person aged 14
years or older.
We strongly advise you to always wear a cycle elmet w en using your bicycle and if you
are unfamiliar wit cycling to attend a cycle proficiency course prior to using it. Your
Wisper Works 806fe is not toy and s ould be considered a serious mode of transport.
As wit all bicycles it is important t at you stay wit in safe limits, if you feel as if you are
traveling too quickly for t e road conditions you probably are, so slow down. Hig speed
will increase forces in t e case of an accident and increase t e possibility of injury.
Test your brakes prior to using t e bike every time you use it and remember t e bike will
not stop as quickly in wet or icy conditions as it would on a dry road.
Before you use t e bike for t e first time you must make absolutely certain t at it as
been correctly built. You can do t is by eit er taking it to your nearest cycle engineer or
if you are proficient in cycle mec anics inspecting it yourself. In particular you must
make sure t at t e pedals, saddle, andle bars and any self assembly items ave been
correctly fitted.
NEVER drink alco ol and ride your electric bike. T e use of alco ol greatly reduces
reflexes and limits your ability to ride safely. Even a very small amount of alco ol will
limit your ability to be safe on t e road.
W en you need to replace your battery please eit er dispose of it properly or preferably
send it back to us or your supplier and we will make sure it is properly recycled.

Part 1 Caring for your Wisper bike and checks
Alt oug your Wisper bike as been t oroug ly tested prior to delivery, it is very
important t at you c eck t e bike again before its first use. Equally important are
frequent and regular spot c ecks, t ey will protect you and your Wisper bike.
Please read t is manual carefully. Only on full understanding of all t e functions of t is
electric bicycle s ould you attempt to use it.
Your retailer may ave assembled your bike for you if not you will find fitting instructions
on t e Wisper website www.wisperbikes.com
1 Before you set off for t e first time
1.1 C eck t e andle bars and andle bar stem are properly tig tened
1.2 C eck all ot er nuts and bolts and fixings are properly tig tened, pay particular
attention to t e motor fixings, side kick stand, yoke and steering ead bearings
1.3 C eck brakes and brake isolators are functioning properly
1.4 C eck tyre pressures are correct and tyres are not damaged
1.5 C eck reflectors and lig ts if fitted are functioning properly
1.6 Make sure battery is fully c arged
1.7 Load battery into your bicycle’s rear carrier and turn on t e power on/off
button. Lock t e battery into t e rear carrier to ensure t e battery’s output
connection is always connected properly.

www.wisperbikes.com/mywarranty and filling in your details.
2 Before eac use
It is important you perform a quick c eck of your bike every time you use it, c ecks
s ould include t e following, if you find any damage or problems do not use t e bike
until t e problem as been solved or you ave ad t e faulty item c ecked by a bike
mec anic or your retailer.
2.1 C eck tyres for any visible damage
2.2 C eck tyre pressures
2.3 C eck for any lose nuts bolts or fixings
2.4 C eck brake functions
2.5 C eck electronic functions

2.6 C eck reflectors are in place and lig ts are working
2.7 C eck your battery for any visible signs of damage
3 Battery care
3.1 Before you use t e battery for t e first time it is best to give it a full deep c arge
for 12 ours. To fully condition your new battery give it complete deep
c arge/disc arge cycles for t e first t ree c arges. T is is ac ieved by c arging
your battery for 12 ours and t en using t e bike until t e battery is completely
drained. After t is “conditioning” process you can t en c arge and disc arge
t e battery as and w en you require for long or s ort periods
3.2 If you are going to leave your battery unc arged for more t an eig t weeks it is
best left alf c arged. You s ould t en re c arge it every four weeks for two
ours to keep it in top condition
3.3 Before setting off on any journey it is always better to ave a fully c arged
battery
3.4 Do not expose t e bicycle or battery pack to fire, eat sources, acid or alkaline
substances
3.5 W en leaving your bicycle during ot weat er always leave in a s aded well
ventilated area
3.6 For best results always rec arge t e battery at room temperature
3.7 Before unloading t e battery make sure it is
turned off at t e key and unlocked, pull t e
battery box from t e rear carrier ousing. Please
refer to t e picture
3.8 If your battery is damaged or appears to be
over eating for any reason immediately return it
to your retailer for advice and a safety c eck
4 Rec arging your battery
4.1 First connect t e output connector plug wit
t e battery (Please refer to t e rec arge point
s own), t en connect to t e mains. Make sure
t e c arger is turned off and connect t e
c arger to your battery t en turn on t e c arger.
Red and yellow lamps on t e c arger indicate
t e battery is c arging, w en t e yellow lig t
turns green t e battery fully c arged. Always
turn off t e c arger and disconnect from t e mains after c arging. Always
disconnect t e c arger from t e mains before disconnecting t e c arger from
t e battery. It is possible t at t e battery will take up to 12 ours to c arge on
t e first t ree c arges.

4.2 Always c arge t e battery always in a well ventilated area.
4.3 Do not leave t e c arger connected to t e mains w en not in use.
5 Water
5.1 Your electric bicycle is rain and splas proof and can be used in all weat ers.
5.2 T e electrical components of t e ve icle, suc as motor, battery, and controller,
must not be submerged in water.
6 Maintenance and adjustments
6.1 IMPORTANT! Do not attempt to open t e casings of t e battery, motor or
controller it could be dangerous and all warrantees will become void. If you
experience a problem contact our service department or your retailer.
6.2 W eel spokes s ould be adjusted after 300 miles riding. Saddle tube s ould
never be raised beyond t e maximum indicated by a safety line around t e
tubes. T e recommendation of t e torque on t e nuts as follows:
(A) Front axle nuts. 70N.M
(B) Back axle nuts. 46N.M
(C) Handlebar stem expander bolt. 8 to 20N.M
(D) Seat pillar clamp nut/bolt. 5-8N.M
(E) Brake cable anchor bolt. 5N.M
(F) Brake centre bolt. M6: N.M
(G) Seat clamp nuts. 24N.M
(H) Cotter pin nuts. R:42N.M L: 46N.M
(I) Gear shifter nuts. 4N.M
(J) V brake caliper nuts. 0N.M
(K) Rear carrier nuts. 8N.M
(L) Mudguard bracket nuts. 8N.M
Other nuts/bolts torque depends on their size. M4:2.5-4.0N.M M5:
M5:4.0-6.0N.M M6:6.0-7.5N.M
6.3 Your bike as a rear derailleur t at will automatically tension your c ain.
However if t e c ain becomes loose or frequently comes off t e drive w eel,
you can easily adjust t e c ain tension by loosening t e rear axle nuts slig tly,
and adjusting t e tension bolts. Make sure t at t e c ain runs freely and
re-tig ten t e axle nuts.
6.4 T e brake leavers s ould lock t e w eels w en compressed alf way between
t eir open position and touc ing t e andle bars. W en t ey need adjusting
please do according follows suggestions.
6.5 Warning: Handlebar and grips or tube end plugs s ould be replaced if
damaged, as bare tube ends ave been known to cause injury.
6.6 Warning: Replacement forks must ave t e same rake and same tube inner

diameter as t ose originally fitted to t e bicycle.
IMPORTANT braking distances increase on wet or icy roads.
6.7 Lubrication:
6.7.1. Once a mont to lubricate all pivot points on derailleur, derailleur pulleys
wit c ain lube.
6.7.2. Every t ree mont s lubricate t e brake lever pivots, t e gears and c ain
wit lig t oil and t e brake bus es (not t e rubber brake s oes or disc) wit a
little grease.
6.7.3 Once a year, ave your dealer re-grease t e bottom bracket bearings,
eadset bearings, w eel bearings or you lubricate pedal axles w ere t ey
t read into t e crank arms, andlebar stem by yourself.
6.8 Recommended tools for proper maintenance:

Part 2 Controls and Equipment
In t is section we will describe t e functions and any specific maintenance needed on all
t e main controls and ancillary equipment.
9 Battery on off and battery lock
9.1 Your Wisper bike as 1 key. T is key is for locking
t e battery into t e bike. Please keep a careful
note of t e key number as we cannot replace it
wit out t is number s ould it become mislaid.
9.2 T e battery is connected to t e electrical system
on t e bike automatically w en you pus t e
battery into t e rear carrier ousing. To turn on
t e bikes electrical system, switc t e on/off
button in t e battery box to on, to turn off t e bikes electrical system, switc
t e on/off button in t e battery box to off. (Please refer to t e picture)
9.3 After t e battery as been turned on t e bike is ready for use. T e battery box
capacity indicator is on t e andle bar for ease of use. Assistance from t e
battery is t en available.

9.4 To lock t e battery into t e bike frame turn t e key clockwise t e locking bolt
olds t e battery, if you wan to unlock turn t e key anti clockwise w ile t e key
at lock position. Read 3 and 4 for battery care and advice on c arging at t e
beginning of t is manual.
9.5 T e battery can be c arged eit er on or off t e bike.
9.6 To remove t e battery first turn off t e power by switc ing t e on/off button.
Unlock t e battery and pull out from t e rear carrier ousing.
On the handle bars
10 T e battery capacity box
10.1 W en t e battery is switc ed on t e lig ts on t e capacity indicator on t e
andle bars will illuminate s owing t e battery capacity available. W en t e
battery is switc ed off t e lig ts will go out and you will not get any assistance
from t e battery or motor. T e bike is t en an unpowered pus bike.
11 Gear s ifters
11.1 806fe as 16 gears, 2 front c ain drives (34 and 50
teet ) and 8 rear sprockets (11 to 30 teet ). T e
front s ifter will move t e c ain between t e ig
gear c ain drive H and t e low L. (Please refer to
t e picture). T e rear s ifter will move t e c ain
from t e ig est gear to t e lowest by simply moving t e lever from left to
rig t.
12 Pedelec mode
12.1 W en you first ride your Wisper bike you will notice t at after one turn of t e
pedals t e motor will start working assisting you ride t e bike by adding power
to t e front w eel. T is is t e standard or pedelec mode, to continue using t e
pedelec mode you must keep turning t e pedals, if you stop t e motor will stop
and t e bike will slow to a alt. If you start pedaling again after one turn t e
motor will start again.
13 T rottle
13.1 No t rottle is available in t is bike.

IMPORTANT Make sure your handle bar grips are always intact, in good condition and
on the bike. Uncovered handlebar tubes can be very dangerous in case of a collision.
14 Brakes
14.1 Front and Rear: V brake
14.2 T e brakes on your Wisper bike are fitted wit cut outs w ic are required by
law. T is means t at w en you pull on eit er t e back or front brake lever t e
motor immediately stops working.
14.3 Full details of ow to adjust and maintain your brakes:
Once a mont , inspect brake pads for wear. If t e grooves in t e braking
surface are less t an 2 mm deep, replace t e pads.
V brake:
14.3.1. Use 5mm Allen key to loosen bolt A,
t en take t e cable out. Use 5mm Allen
key to loosen bolts C (rig t & left), t en
take t e spacers and was ers out
14.3.2. Install new brake pads, t en wit bot
pads pressed against t e w eel rim,
ensure t at distance B (in t e diagram)
does not exceed 65mm. To decrease
distance B, exc ange wide & narrow
spacers on eac brake pad. Before finally
tig tening brake pads, make sure t ey are aligned correctly on t e rim,
and t ere is a gap of 1mm between t e top of t e rim and t e top of t e
pad. Hold eac pad against t e rim (one at a time) & tig ten bolt C.
Finally tig ten to 6-8N.M
14.3.3. Insert cable into bolt A, slot cable guide pipe into older and fit
protector over t e guide pipe end. Set cable in bolt A so t at combined
pad/rim clearance (t e gaps from left pad to left rim surface and from
rig t pad to rig t rim surface) is 2mm, t en tig ten “A” bolt. Finally
tig ten to 6-8N.M.
Balance brake arms by turning screw D. Depress brake lever a few times
w ile c ecking to see t at tension is equal for bot arms. Pad/rim
contact s ould occur at t e same time eac side. Clearance s ould be
1mm eac side. Do not set tensions too ig .
14.3.4. Re adjusts pads so t ey are properly aligned (see step 2), as tension
adjustment will probably ave altered t e original pad alignment.
14.3.5. Installing brake pads.
14.3.5.1. Position eac pad on an opposite side of t e older so t at
two breaking surfaces are facing eac ot er.

14.3.5.2. Take care not to touc t e braking surfaces, pus t e pads in t e
older toget er and insert into t e caliper so t at t e protruding
lip wit t e retainer bolt ole is aligned wit t e bolt ole on t e
caliper.
14.3.5.3. Insert t e retainer bolt and tig ten it wit a 3mm Allen wrenc ,
finally tig ten to 3-5N.M
15 T e front connection box
15.1 T e front connection box allows for t e easy removal for repair
or replacement of any of t e electronic components on t e
andle bars.
16 Rims and spokes
16.1 It is essential to get your spokes c ecked and tig tened after 300 miles or
500km. T is is a free service provided by your supplier. If t is service as not
been undertaken at t e correct time t is may cause damage to t e w eels and
spokes t at will not covered under our guarantee.
17 C ain and drive w eel
17.1 Lig tly oil wit bicycle c ain oil t e c ain at least once a mont .
17.2 Because your bike as a rear derailleur t e c ain will be automatically adjusted.

Repair or replacement of components
IMPORTANT To validate this Warranty the retail customer must register the bike at
www.wisperbikes/mywarranty within 14 days of purchase.
Only use this product in accordance with this user manual. We offer a limited warranty of on the

3. To validate this Warranty the retail customer must register his / her bike at
www.wisperbikes/mywarranty within 14 days of purchase.
Exceptions to Limited Warranties
1. Damage resulting from misuse, not maintaining the vehicle or not following the guidelines within
this user guide.
2. Accidental or deliberate damage.
3. Damage due to private repair or alteration by user or unauthorised service centre.
4. Failure to produce invoice or proof of purchase.
5. Spare parts and components worn in normal use.
6. Failure to register your bike at www.wisperbikes/mywarranty within 14 days of purchase.
