IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK,
CAREFULLY FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect power to the 120V
electrical outlet before installing or removing the unit. When removing
the electrical wall plate, it may fall across plug pins or become displaced.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product has a grounding type
plug that has a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a
grounding type power outlet. If the plug does not fit into the outlet,
contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change
the plug in any way.

PRODUCT DETAILS
Operaon and Specificaons
Input/Output voltage: 120V.
Output current: rated 15A for general purpose load.
DAY or NIGHT ON mes range from 5 seconds to 60 minutes.
DAY or NIGHT OFF mes range from 1 minute to 12 hours.
Unit starts with ON me at power up in DAY condion. When unit switches
to NIGHT, Night OFF me is started. When the unit returns to DAY, Day ON
me is started.

INSTALLATION & OPERATION
DAY AND NIGHT DETECTION
The photocell detects a NIGHT condion when it senses darkness for
a minimum period of 8 seconds.

minimum period of 8 seconds
DISABLING OPERATION
In order to disable DAY or NIGHT operaon, set corresponding ON me to
"zero" - turn knob counter clockwise unl all bars are OFF when seng
DAY ON or NIGHT ON mes.
BOTTOM BAR IS BLINKING
The boom bar of display is flashing at the end of a cycle. The bar will
flash for 2 seconds at the end of an ON me, and for 30 seconds at the
end of an OFF me.

Use SCALE on LEFT SIDE for ON mes
(5 seconds to 60 minutes)
Use SCALE on RIGHT SIDE for OFF
mes
(1 minute to 12 hours)

Set Values
INSTALLATION & OPERATION
Click knob to select mes and turn to set values in
this order:
· DAY ON me: Indicator is steady lit (not blinking), rotate knob to
select from 5 seconds to 60 minutes (le side scale).
· NIGHT ON me: Indicator is steady lit (not blinking), rotate knob
to select from 5 seconds to 60 minutes (le side scale).
· DAY OFF me: Indicator is steady lit (not blinking), rotate knob
to select from 1 minute to 12 hours (right side scale).
· NIGHT OFF me: Indicator is steady lit (not blinking), rotate knob
to select from 1 minute to 12 hours (right side scale).

Connect your equipment
Connect your pump or other equipment into the 120V outlet in front of
your mer.
BLINKING INDICATOR AND TIME COUNTDOWN
A blinking indicator shows you which "me" is currently running.
Countdown is shown on display at all mes during normal cycle operaon.
The bargraph display
shows a remaining
me of 15 seconds.
DAY is detected and ON me will run for 15 more seconds before it
switches to OFF me.
NIGHT is detected and OFF me will run for 35 more minutes before it
switches to ON me.
INSTALLATION & OPERATION
Exemple 1:
DAY ON Indicator is blinking.
Display bar "15" is lit (le scale).
Exemple 2:
NIGHT OFF Indicator is blinking.
Display bar "30" and "40" are lit (right scale).
The bargraph display

· CONNECT A LOAD INTO THE
FRONT OUTLET
OF THE UNIT.
· LIGHTHING

perform this test in a room with
enough light for the unit to
detect a DAY condion.

6 · Click knob once to resume
normal operaon.
DAY ON me or DAY OFF me
indicator is BLINKING,
meaning ON or OFF me
countdown is underway.
The unit will cycle 10 seconds
ON followed by 1 minute OFF.
Observe one complete ON-
OFF cycle and verify ON and
OFF mes.
LOAD must be ON when
either DAY ON me or NIGHT
ON me indicator is lit.

· Cover the Light Sensor
completely with the palm of
your hand or black electrical
tape (a single finger will NOT
cover the sensor
appropriately) and wait 8
seconds unl the NIGHT
condion is met.
DAY OFF me and DAY ON
me indicators (i.e. both
"Sun" icons) turn OFF.
NIGHT OFF me indicator
starts BLINKING and 4th bar
turns ON.

· Uncover the Light Sensor and
wait 8 sec unl DAY condion
is met.
4th bar turns OFF.
NIGHT OFF me and NIGHT
ON me indicators (i.e. both
"Moon" icons) turn OFF.
DAY ON me indicator starts

1. I think my controller is damaged, or it simply does not work as
indicated in the user guide, what should I do?
· Please refer to the troubleshoong steps. Follow these instrucons
carefully, step by step. The controller should work as described in the
“Expected results” column of the Complete Troubleshoong Guide.

2. I’ve been through the troubleshoong steps. What do I do if I meet a
problem at any of these steps? Is my product covered by the
WARRANTY?
· Grozone controllers are covered by a 3-year warranty (*). We will
replace any DAMAGED PRODUCT WITH A BRAND NEW PRODUCT.
· Covered or not covered? We do not authorize the replacement of fully
working products nor altered (tampered) products. The Troubleshoong
steps will help you idenfy a damaged product. Do not hesitate to
contact us or contact your retailer to make sure the controller is not fully
working or damaged before returning it to the store.
· My product is not fully working or damaged, I want a replacement unit:
in order to get a replacement product, you MUST return all modules
and applicable accessories to the retailer. To avoid being charged for
the accessories, be sure to include all pieces. Thanks for your
cooperaon.
· Any Grozone Control product that is returned with obvious signs of user
neglect will not be covered by the warranty. Grozone Control exercises
the right to make final decisions in these maers.
(*)The warranty period begins from the date of purchase at the retail level. The
retailer/consumer must keep their proof of sale/purchase. Otherwise, Grozone
Control will consider the manufacturing date to apply the warranty coverage.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO RETAILERS
Retailers must call Grozone Control to get authorisaon to replace the
defecve product and a RMA number.
